Title: [Link Joker]The Joker's Despair (Garnet Star/Blaster Joker)
Post by: colonel830303 on November 08, 2014, 11:39:36 AM
Haven't touched LJ since LB era so I finally decided to give it a try.

G0(17):

1x Star-vader Brave Fang (FV)
7x Star-vader crit
5x Star-vader draw
4x Star-vader heal

G1(14):

4x Barrier Star-vader, Promethium (PG)
4x Demonic Claw Star-vader, Lanthanum
4x Star-vader, Boltline (or Voltline whichever way u prefer to call it)
2x Minuscule Star-vader, Mayoron

G2(11):

4x Companion Star-vader, Photon
3x Unrivaled Star-vader, Radon / Evil Claw Star-vader, Niobiu / Flash Gun Star-vader, Osmium
2x Silence Star-vader, Dilaton
2x Star-vader, Colony Maker

G3 ( 8 ):

4x Star-vader, Garnet Star Dragon
4x Star-vader, Blaster Joker

Card Choices:

For G0, I use Brave Fang as FV not only because it is CB free, it also helps me to omega lock more units on hit. Trigger Lineup is 7C/5D/4H so that I can apply enough pressure while draw into the pieces I needed.

For G1, I max out both Boltline & Lanthanum since they are both pressurizing cards (either I am going to omega lock more units on hit or swing for huge numbers). 2 Mayoron are there as lock baits for Blaster Joker's legion skill. 4 PG's are staple since you want to save up the CB for Blaster Joker.

For G2, 4 Photons are self-explainatory (mate for both of my G3's). I am running 3 Radons for now as he is a stable hitter even if your backrow is locked by Blaster Joker's legion skill cost or if you can't pull off any locking. If you don't like Radon you can run Niobiu (makes a monster column with Lanthanum when you can pull off the full field lock) or Osmium (Omega lock more cards on hit). 2 Dilatons to search out more Blaster Joker so I can make an infinite legion loophole (reride SVBJ, legion, and then SB SVBJ & Photon out). 2 Colony Makers as tech cards to search out the important G1's once in a while.

G3's are self-explainatory. Garnet is a CB free locker on legion, while Blaster Joker is the main boss of the deck who can lock the whole field instantly.

Strategies:

In early game try to rush if possible to apply pressure by calling 7k g1/radon for early swing. Most likely your opponent will be playing conservatively since if they call many rear guards early game, they are going to end up getting locked on turn 3/4 by either of the G3's. After the rear guards are locked that's when Lanthanum & Boltline's time to shine. Lanthanum helps you swing for big numbers, while Boltline helps you to lock for 1 more turn if the attack hits with him boosted. As soon as you lock the full field with Blaster Joker then you can save a lot of cards for a few turns, then you can pretty much win from there.
