“Behold, the Queen of Love, said to overcome all obstacles with the ones she holds dear. The Empress said to charm dragons to her bidding, ride! Silver Thorn Dragon Empress, Venus Luquier!” Chants Asaka as she rides her main unit in utter confidence.
Marichika erupts into a brilliant crimson light as it soars above the battlefield. The roar of a dragon is evident as its body begins slithering down to the clouds, on their back sat a milky white haired maiden with crimson red streaks at the tips, her white overcoat ruffles in the wind as she wields her chain whip, ready to punish those who oppose her. [Silver Thorn Dragon Empress, Venus Luquier – 11000 Power].
“There it is. The symbol of your love.” muses Bane. “I’ll wonder how long it’ll last though.” He mutters.
Ignoring him, Asaka continues, “Venus Luquier’s skill, if I have a Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer Luquier in the soul, she gains 2000 Power.”
The Empress stands up from her throne and lashes her whip, the dragons roaring in response. [11000 Power + 2000 Power = 13000 Power].
“I use Silver Thorn Beast Tamer Emile’s skill, by moving it into the soul, I can look at the top 5 cards of my deck, and soul charge 1 Grade 1, 2 and 3 Silver Thorn Unit.” She proceeds to pick up the top 5 cards, and selected three from that hand. “The rest is shuffled back into the deck.”

“And now, this is where the real show begins, doesn’t it?” smiles Bane. “No use though. Just keep struggling.”
“Just let me continue, don’t look down upon the work I’m doing for Ren Sama!” Asaka shouts. “Venus Luquier’s Limit Break! I counterblast two Silver Thorn Units and soul charge two cards, then I can superior call up to 5 Silver Thorn units from my soul, as long as their grade equals 6 or less.” She flips two cards and places the top two cards into the soul.

Going through her soul, she picks out six cards. “I superior call Silver Thorn Beast Tamer, Emile, Silver Thorn Assistant Irina, Silver Thorn Assist Zelma, Silver Thorn Beast Tamer Marichika and Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian!”
The five rearguard circles around Venus Luquier come to life as she whips the clouds with a deafening whack. They form the blonde foxgirl with the flower duster, the young girl in the pink tutu, the tanned skin elf in the black leotard, a pink haired glassed eyed puppet in a gothic dress, and a boy and girl, one in a pink and white dress, the other in a red and orange suit. [Silver Thorn Assistant, Irina – 7000 Power][Silver Thorn Beast Tamer Emile – 5000 Power][Silver Thorn Beast Tamer Marichika – 9000 Power][Silver Thorn Marionette Lillian – 10000 Power][Silver Thorn Assist, Zelma – 7000 Power]
Satisfied with her work, Asaka declares, “I use Irina’s skill to search the top two cards again.” Pulling the top two cards, she puts one into the soul.
[Soul Charge – Silver Thorn Breathing Dragon – No Trigger]
“But that’s not all, is it?” Bane guesses, glancing at the new unit he hasn’t seen yet.
“That’s right, using Zelma’s skill, when she appears on the rearguard circle, I can move one Silver Thorn unit from the rearguard to the soul, and then superior call one Silver Thorn Unit from there!”
Asaka explains. “I’ll move Irina into the soul, and superior call …. Another Irina!”
Zelma took Irina by the hand and threw her into one of his magic boxes. He began to infuse it with magic, causing it to spin around and around, enough to make anyone nauseous, and it explodes. What stands there is another Silver Thorn Assistant Irina. [Silver Thorn Assistant Irina – 7000 Power].
“Of course, I’ll use the skill again.”

With that, everything is set up for next turn… she thought. But now.
“With Emile’s support, I attack with Venus Luquier!”
“I won’t guard,” Bane answers gutturally. He was eerily calm despite the disadvantage he was in.
“Twin Drive, first check, get heal trigger, power to Marichika, and I recover one damage.” She pulls one of the flipped cards from her damage zone and places it into the drop zone. “Second check,
no trigger.”

The Milky hair empress sends her whip in the direction of her enemy, [13000 Power + 5000 Power = 18000 Power] as it makes contact with the Knight of the Void [ 9000 Power] a large explosion
clouds it from view.
"Checking for a damage trigger, get, draw trigger, I give the power to my vanguard, and draw one card."

“With Irina’s support, Marichika! Attack the Vanguard!”
“I guard with Grim Revenger.”
Irina begins dusting Marichika’s hair as it sends off a thorn laden whip at the dark knight [9000 Power + 7000 Power + 5000 Power = 21000 Power] only to be cut up by the blade of a sickle wielded by the Grim Revenger. [9000 Power + 10000 Power + 5000 Power = 24000 Power]
“Fine, I still have one more attack, go! Lillian, attack him with Zelma’s support!”
“No Guard.”
Lillian is propelled forward by Zelma’s machines [10000 Power + 7000 Power = 17000 Power] and cuts directly at the knight of void. [9000 Power + 5000 Power =14000 Power]
“Damage Check again, why look, another draw trigger, I give power to my vanguard, and draw.”
“And this ends act 2 of the Vengeful Circus, may this turn be burned into your memory,” She says the last part in a growl.
At least I managed to flip the tables on him Asaka thought. Who knows what he’ll do.

“Stand and Draw,” starts Bane. He observes the 6 cards in his hand as he plucks one out says, “I ride the Illusionary Revenger, Mordred Phantom.”
The Knight of the Void breaks into a billion black specks, only to reform as an aged silver haired warrior on a black mane, both equipping themselves with Shadow Paladin armor, gleaming in the moon light. [Illusionary Revenger, Mordred Phantom – 11000 Power]
“With a boost from Judgebau Revenger, Mordred Phantom will attack your vanguard, and using his skill, when he attacks a vanguard, he gains an additional 3000 Power.”
“No Guard.”
“Drive Check, no triggers, at all. Ah well.” Says Bane, not really caring.
[Drive Check – Crisis Revenger Mana – No Trigger]

Mordred’s horse gallantly gallops towards [11000 Power + 3000 Power + 5000 Power = 18000 Power] Luquier’s Dragons [13000 Power] and swings his sword directly at her, barely missing her hair.
“Damage check, no trigger.”
[Damage Check – Silver Thorn Hypnos, Lydia – No Trigger]
“Judgebau’s counterblast, when it boosts a Shadow Paladin Vanguard with Phantom in its name, I can pay the cost, if so I can superior call two Grade 1 Shadow Paladin units from my deck at rest.” Bane flips over one card in the damage zone and places Judgebau into the soul. “I superior call two Black-winged Sword Breakers.”
Judgebau dispersed into clouds and was replaced by two black winged angels, each holding a sword. [Black Winged Sword Breaker - 6000 Power]
“Using their skill, soul blast 1, when they’re called from the deck, I can pay the cost, and then draw one card.” Bane explains as he proceeds to do what he just said and draws two cards.
“I’ll have the Masquerades attack your rearguards then,” he orders as he rests each Masquerade.
“No Guard.” Asaka declares as she places both units into the drop zone.

Asaka looks at her hand calmly as she decides what to do this turn. “Final Turn.” She declares. “Ren Sama, watch me.” Bane looks at her, amused.
“Draw,” she starts. “I use Silver Thorn Assistant Emile’s skill. Checking the top 5, and soul charging 2.” Asaka moves the starter into the soul and looked at the top 5 cards.

“I use my Vanguard’s Limit Break again! Go! Everlasting Performance!” She flips two more cards in her damage zone facedown, and soul charges two. Look at her soul, she picks out 5 units. “I superior call two Silver Thorn Upright Lions, 2 Silver Thorn Assistants Zelma, and 1 Silver Thorn Beast Tamer Emile.”
The five rearguard circle light up again in a bright crimson light, only this time, 2 gray winged lions roared onto the field, with two orange suited cat eared elves behind them, and the pink tutu unit behind Venus Luquier. [Silver Thorn Beast Tamer Emile – 5000 Power][Silver Thorn Assistant, Zelma – 7000 Power][Silver Thorn Assistant, Zelma – 7000 Power][Silver Thorn Upright Lion – 9000 Power][Silver Thorn Upright Lion – 9000 Power]
“First thing’s first, Upright Lions, show him the magnificent skill you possess!” She cries. “When another Silver Thorn unit is placed onto the rearguard circle from the soul, they gain 3000 Power! And since there was 4 other units called, 12000 each.”
The Silver Thorn Lions roar even louder as they glow with a crimson aura.
She continues, “Using the 1st Zelma’s skill, I pop Emile into the soul to call her out again.” She mimics the gesture. “And then again with the 2nd Zelma’s skill.”
The Zelma’s throw Emile back and forth between themselves, laughing at her dizziness.
“The Lions will then gain 3000 more power for each swap! That’s another 6000 Power.”
[Silver Thorn Upright Lions 9000 Power + 4(3000) Power + 2(3000) = 27000 Power]
“Silly Kitty, you think that will be enough to defeat me?” questions Bane.
“It’s my strongest attack, for Ren Sama’s love.” Said Asaka. “Now go! Venus Luquier, attack his Vanguard!”
“I guard with Darkness Revenger, Mac Lir for a perfect Guard.” He drops Illusionary Revenger Mordred Phantom from his hand.
“Twin Drive, First Check, Get, Critical Trigger, I give all effects to the Lion on the Left! Second check… no Trigger.”
[Drive Check – Silver Thorn Barking Dragon – Critical Trigger]
[Drive Check – Silver Thorn Dragon Empress Venus Luquier ]
Luquier sends out her whip for what she thought would be the final time, only to be completely deflected by a shield containing a shadow aura. [Attack Nullified]
“With Zelma’s support, Upright Lion, finish this!” Asaka Cries.
The Lion [9000 Power + 18000 Power + 5000 Power +7000 Power = 39000 Power] pounces at Mordred Phantom [11,000 Power] in hopes of ending this battle.
“I’ll perfect guard it again.” Bane calmly states as he drops another Mac Lir and Crisis Revenger Mana to the drop zone.
“Then…. Boosted by Zelma, Upright Lion, attack Mordred, give him the 5th damage in the damage zone!” Asaka retaliates.
“No Guard.”
[Damage Check – Revenger, Death Master Dragon – No Trigger]
“Turn end,” dissatisfied with her failure.
I still have next turn, I can guard everything he throws at me. Asaka thought. And I only have 4 damage.

Bane surveys the field, before he too declares, “Final Turn.”
Asaka looks at him in shock. “What…?! You can’t mean that. I have the hand advantage, I have the field advantage, and I only have 4 damage!”
He smiles at her. “How naïve. Draw.” Surveying the 6 cards in his hand, he chooses one and chants, “The Dragon of Illusions, giving the enemy the idea they are safe, destroy those hopes and
dreams with your flames of despair, Cross Break Ride! Revenger, Dragruler Phantom!”
Mordred yells in pain as he is enveloped by flames of darkness, his body begins to morph, turning him into the silver haired dragon, wielding chains, a red cape fluttering in the wind. [Revenger, Dragruler Phantom – 11000 Power]
“Breakride skill, counterblast. And I superior call a Brunt Revenger, Shadow Lancer behind the Vanguard. Plus, it gains 5000 Power.” Bane says as he flips over one card."And my vanguard gains 10,000 Power."
A knight wielding a lance reappears behind the vanguard, its lance glistening, waiting for blood. [Brunt Revenger, Shadow Lancer – 7000 Power + 5000 Power = 12000 Power]
“With Mordred Phantom in the Soul, Dragruler gains 2000 Power.”
[11000 Power + 2000 Power + 10000 Power = 23000 Power]
“I’ll use my vanguard’s Limit Break,” Bane continued. He flipped over another damage. “I retire two Revenger units, and my vanguard gains 10,000 Power.”
The Cursed Dragon looks upon its allies as it sinks its teeth into one of the knights of Void, and slashes at the other trying to run away. [23,000 Power + 10000 Power = 33000 Power]
“And you take one damage,” he gleefully says with his croaked voice. Asaka looks in shock as the top card of her deck flipped itself over and flew into the damage zone.
[Damage Check – Silver Thorn Rising Dragon – No Trigger]
"I then call out two Overcoming Revenger, Rukea," Bane said replenishing the circles that were emptied.
Two white haired shadow paladins, each wielding a blood colored blade enter the field, the red capes fluttering in the wind. [Overcoming Revenger, Rukea – 9000 Power]
“I’ll replace one Sword Breaker Angel with Dark Bond Trumpeter.” He says. “I’ll use trumpeteer’s skill to superior call one Freezing Revenger from my deck at rest.”
Both angels disappear as one is replaced by an elf holding a trumpet, upon appearing, she plays it, calling out a male shadow paladin angel. [Dark Bond Trumpeter – 6000 Power] [Freezing Revenger – 5000 Power]
“Rukeas’ skill, they gain 3000 Power everytime a Grade 1 or lower unit is placed onto the rearguard circles. So they gain 6000 Power this time.”
The Rukeas’ sword begins to glow a crimson red as those units were called to the rearguard.[9000 Power + 6000 Power = 15000 Power]
“I’ll use my Vanguard’s limit Break again. He won’t deal you another damage, but he’ll gain more power” Bane states as he flips over another card and retires the Abyss Freezer and Trumpeter.
[23000 Power + 10000 Power + 10000 Power = 43000 Power]
Asaka looks warily at each lane. “Can I even guard this….” She murmurs aloud.
Bane laughs. “That’s right, feel the despair, the hatred not upon me, but on yourself for not being able to fulfill your promise.” He says in a guttural voice. “I’ll call two Shadow Lancers behind the
Rukea’s, and of course they’ll gain 3000 Power for each one called.”
Two more Shadow Paladin units appear behind the Powered up Rukea’s, their lances ready for battle. [Brunt Revenger, Shadow Lancer – 7000 Power] [Brunt Revenger, Shadow Lancer – 7000 Power]
[Overcoming Revenger, Rukea 9000 Power + 6000 Power + 6000 Power = 21000 Power]
“Here I go,” He smiles. “With the superior called Lancer’s boost, I attack.”
Curses, I have no perfect guards at all Asaka thought as she looked at the damage zone.
“Protect the Queen! Silver Thorn Juggler, Nadia! Silver Thorn Barking Dragon! Two Dynamite Jugglers! I also intercept with both Upright Lions!” She looks at her hand, consisting of 1 Grade 3, 2 10,000 shields and 4 Grade 1 and 2’s.
I have to pull through this turn… I’ll be able to guard everything else if he doesn’t pull anything She hopes.
As Dragruler prepares to launch a fireball at Venus Luquier, [13,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 10000 Power + 12000 Power = 55000 Power], it is momentarily caught off guard by the appearance of the units called by Asaka.
[13,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 10,000 Power +5000 Power + 5,000 Power = 63,000 Power]
Bane smiles for a final time against her attempt at guarding. “Twin Drive, first check.” He reveals the top card to show a green flash. “Get, Heal Trigger. I give all effects to my Vanguard.”
Asaka steps back a bit. “No…. You wouldn’t…!” she says.
Bane simply picks up the next card, to reveal a flash of yellow, “I did. Critical Trigger. All effect to my Vanguard.”

[Drive Check – Revenger, Air Raid Dragon – Critical Trigger]
Dragruler lets out a fireball from his breath[23,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 10,000 Power + 12000 Power + 10,000 Power = 65,000 Power][Critical 2] which overpowers the guardians Asaka threw in desperation and were roasted to bits. Venus Luquier however, wasn’t as lucky as she is hit directly by the blast, knocking her off her throne and onto the ground, where she is stepped on and burned by the dragon.
“Perish.” Bane commands as Asaka looks at him in fear, two cards flying themselves into the damage zone.

The units on the field disappear, with Bane as the victor of the match.
She slumps down, “Ren Sama… Ren Sama… I’m so sorry… I couldn’t fulfill your wishes,” she whispers through tears. Asaka felt her body growing weaker, and looks at her hands, she say they were becoming transparent.
“No… No…. What’s going on?!”She cries out. With no strength left though, she could barely move.
Bane looks at her, “Your hatred has overpowered the love, and as you recall, you hold the Vanguardian Fractal that we desire. We are simply just taking them back.” He holds his hand out as a crimson flame begins to emit from Asaka and is pulled into him.
“I’m so sorry, everyone… I failed.” Asaka said through tears, her vision was blacking out. “I… I’m not worthy of Ren’s approval…”
“I’m offended,” came a voice. “Who said you’re not worthy of my approval?”
