Title: (GS3) Field: Rijuku Residential Area

A peaceful neighborhood where your mom probably lives.

Field Status
Relatively peaceful, majority of the noise comes from within the households.
Not many people are outside.

What is a field?
A field is an area where events between characters or even individual characters may happen. As replies to these posts, characters may chronicle events that transpire between each other which would often be as a result of or due to a Cardfight. Field events are great ways to develop characters as well as character relationships. Field events, for example, could include a Cardfight as part of a rivalry between two individuals. It can be something as simple as a simple outing or meeting that then leads to a game of Vanguard. Or something that would greatly move the plot, a fight between someone of the heroic affinity and someone of the villainous affinity.

Remember, Cray is looking for the best of the best to be a leader. This does not mean that the leader has to be filled with good intentions, its anyone who the cards seem to decide is fit. Heroes can do as much as they can, but without villains pushing the story forward with their schemes, there isn't much to save. So if you are on the villainous side, use these areas to move along with your plots and schemes. You may ask others to come and roleplay with you and anyone can post in these areas, there is no limit other than that of being logical and simply just being respectful to your fellow fighters.

Any character that you interact with during field events may get affinity +1 or -1 with you.
Certain fields may have special events and things happening there in order to start up some action.

Post events that transpire below based on you character's own perspective, and just have fun with it!
Good luck!

On his way to the card shop Hayato takes the train to there, but ends up sleeping and pass striaght by it. When he wakes up he is already far from it, and gets off the train on this unfamiliar residential area.

Going for a bit of a walk today to explore the rest of the city, Satoshi found himself in the pleasant suburbs. <Shoot, this place ain't bad,> he thought to himself. <Maybe when ah get s'more money, ah'll rent one-a these here houses...> He kicked a stone, continuing his wandering through the neighborhood. It was strangely quiet, given that there were so many inhabited houses...

Hana vaguely remembers that her family owns some of this property, she walks around the neighborhood and appreciates its peace and serenity. Today she is wearing a white blouse under a black hoodie and a navy blue skirt. Rock Girls' Rio picked it out for her in the morning. She's in this neighborhood today to deliver a package to one of her dad's friends.

The eggs were also warm by the that she got home yesterday. It saddens Hana to feel the warm eggs.

Heading back home after a failure search for an opponent at the park, Itou sees a girl, she looks like the same girl who tricked him yesterday for the bargain sale eggs but in a different outfit and carrying some sort of package. Out of chivalry Itou decides goes check if she needs any help while carrying hidden intentions...

Hana saw from the corner of her eye, a sinner. He was the egg stealer from yesterday who tried to commit the most grave of crimes, egg thievery. Nonetheless, her family had taught her to act lady-like and be kind to strangers all the while not talking to strangers. Now she is confused. She shoved that confusion to the back of her mind and looked up at the egg-sinner and smiled.

"Good morning," she greeted him.

Itou was greetes, and decides to greet back still not being sure if it was the same girl or not

"Good morning, need help with something?"

He asked as if he was prompting her to start a conversation. Why? To find out more about the girl who could be his thief and to see whether he can still find something interesting to do today.

Hana was wondering what she would possibly need help with other than this box which she was carrying. Giving this man the box was out of the question as he is a stealer of eggs and should never be trusted.

"No, thank you, I don't need help with anything." she nodded and continued to walk on.
"Thanks for asking though."

Itou was flat out rejected, her reaction shows she's suspicious of him, which also means she was the trickster yesterday. Without giving up he seems to continue his approach and says:

Sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name's Itou"

He was aware that he would not get any closer to the box, so he decides to take advantage of the fact:

"It seems we're heading in the same direction, i shall make you company until i get to where i need to"

And with that he starts following the nameless girl around the neighboorhood.

"Itou..." Hana takes note of his name.

She realizes that this Itou keeps following her. It's getting creepier and creepier by the moment. Very creepy. Maybe this is why her parents told her not to talk to strangers.

She doesn't let her guard down, she knows what Itou did yesterday and he also realizes his actions are creppy, he knows that whatever he does she will only think badly of him, so he decides to check his deck while following her, hoping that it will ease the tension if he's doing something innofensive.

Haruka finally got off his ass from the bench and went to be productive...

"Or so you put it."

Well it's true. You were being lazy. And quite frankly, sulking over having a rather lackluster purpose is no reason not to go home and sleep. Are you a fool? You haven't slept in nearly two days, and sitting on a bench in the park doesn't exactly solve that problem.

"I get it, Captain Obvious. Right. I should sleep. I should... sleep." Haruka stretches his arms out and yawns. He cranes his neck to crack it, but nothing happens.

Haru. You really should be a bit more careful. You could get injured if you don't take care of yourself.

"I-I know..." Haruka's sleepy voice echoes, no longer caring about whether or not he can be heard.

"Look, I'll sleep in like, 20 minutes okay? I just need to find somewhere to... rest..." Haruka finds himself slumped against somebody's fence in their driveway. He takes one last look at Daiyusha, staring at the card. He twiddles with the card for a few moments before slipping it  back into his jacket pocket. Haruka finds his mind drifting for a moment, however is interrupted by footsteps approaching.

Hana hears a voice, a very familiar one.

"Dark Daiyusha!" she calls over a weird guy staring at his card.

Now there are two weirdos in this neighborhood who are looking at their decks, shuffling their decks, touching their decks. She notices him lying along a fence. That's the house where she needs to drop off the package. "Dark Daiyusha, please move I need to leave this box over here for someone!" she asked him.

The other guy is still close behind her, but he seems to be occupied with staring at Soul Saver Dragon's "chestplate", maybe she can make a run for it.

Hearing someone shout Dark Daiyusha in a nostalgic voice, Itou decides to get away from the girl for a moment to check, turns out it was Haruka, but talking to a card? Even though it's the person who gave back his deck, Itou found her behavior very weird. He decided to go call for her when the girl seemed to be heading his way, instead of being on guard it was like she reached her objective?

"Huh?" Haruka stares up vaguely in the direction of a high-pitched voice. He notices two faces, both familiar... and...

"Dark.. Daiyusha..?" Haruka realizes that there are actually people standing in front of him. "O-Oh hey. Yeah sorry, one sec." Haruka uses the weight of the fence to stand up but instead of doing what a normal human being might do; standing up, Haruka takes the more adventurous approach and starts stumbling backwards back onto his ass a few yards further from them.

"Uh, would it be asking too much for a hand here?" Haruka tries to laugh it off but he's already too tired to cover it up and his blush becomes almost as apparent as the bags under his eyes.

You look like an idiot.

"I am. What did you expect?"

They think you're an idiot too, you know?

"Do you think so?" Haruka starts talking to the voice again.

Okay you should talk to the other humans now.

"Oh, right." Haruka looks back in their direction now, slightly more embarrassed.

Hana puts realizes that Darkyusha had stumbled back. She tucks the box under her right hand and reaches out he left one to help him up. She decided to take a quick look back at the other guy, who seems to have a somewhat surprised look on his face. She wonders if there is a possibility that these two may know each other.

"Here," she says as she opens up her hand to signal her offer.

Itou sees everything and takes a moment to process the last seconds, and by the end of it he starts laughing at Haruka who tried to fix her fall

"hahahahah, what are you doing? No one stands still in a fence!!!

He takes a step to offer his hand and help, but the girl seemed to be way ahead of him, so he decides to watch and help if he seems needed.

"A-ah thanks. I appreciate it." Haruka reaches his hand out and grabs the girls. Soft. With a little help from the girl and whatever strength is left in his legs, and finds himself standing straight up again. He scratches his head and puts on his thin smile. "Thanks again, I'm kind a klutz sometimes."

He smiles at the girl and nods.

"My name is Haruka Nakahara by the way. Nice to meet you." This Haruka puts his hand out for a handshake. At the same time, he addresses Itou.

"Hey, Itou! What's up dude!" Haruka's smiling and laughter is clouding the fact he's still a little embarrassed, but it seems mostly disguised.

Friends of yours?

"Maybe?" Haruka whispers through a clenched-tooth smile.

Ighanna travels past the construction site to arrive at the residential area. As her chauffeur drives past a convenience store, she notices a familiar face, a petite cute girl with a bright aura like she had seen before. Ordering her chauffeur to stop, she rolls down the thickly filmed car window and stretches her head out of the car like a swimming frog grasping for breathe.

"Hello, you other there! Do I know you?" she called out to the girl who which she did not see clearly, thus hoping she will turn around in order to analyze her face and match it with her memory's contact list.

As Miyuki wandered through the residential area towards the shopping district, she noticed some noise.

'Odd, I thought this place was generally quiet?'

Curious now, she headed towards the noise. Once she was there, she noticed a few people she didn't recognise, as well as Hana. She decided to approach Hana.

'Hiii Hana, how have you been? In face, what are you doing right now?'

After Haruka got up, a lot of people appeared out of nowhere, and all of them seemed to be there for the girl who seems to be called Hana. One is in a card wearing weird glasses while the other looks like a normal girl. In the middle of all that, Itou seems to freeze in confusion.

"Hello Haruka-Dark-Daiyusha, my name is Hana Espoir." She bows because her parents taught her to do so when introducing herself.

Darkyusharuka then greets Stalkerzuchi, so she was right on her assumption that they possibly knew each other. She opens up the fence to the home and drops off the box a few inches inside and immediately closes the fence. As she walks out she hears the noise of a car engine. It seems to have been speeding in the residential area, and also driving in the wrong lane at that.

She then heard a voice call out, a voice that seemed familiar to her, but not among the people who she has met personally. She turned around to respond to the call.

"Hello, um..." she couldn't figure out what exactly to say next. Maybe she should warn this person that they were driving at the wrong side of the road.

Also Miyuki, Miyuki!!!

"MI-HIMEEE OHAYOUU I HAVE B33N W3LL :DD!"

Ighanna realizes another familiar face and walks out of her car, meeting "Miyuki" and her friend, I immediately assumed she was also an idol as she was Miyuki's friend. They seem to have a friendly conversation when I interrupted them by asking "Are you okay?" hoping Miyuki san remembers me.

"I can give you two a ride home if you're feeling insecure of this place, it is quite deserted around this time" insisted Ighanna as she waits for the two's reply.

"Hana Espoir... I like it." Haruka realizes he said that out loud and immediately averts his gaze as to hope he wasn't noticed.

Haru, are you sure you can handle all of these people here?

"I-I'm fine. Just gotta catch myself, that's all." Haruka finds himself moving to Itou's side. Despite not really knowing what kind of person he is, he and Hana are probably the closest thing to "friends", or probably more aptly "acquaintances", he has. He finds himself by their sides as some people show up. Another young girl, presumably one of Hana's friends, and a lady calling for her from a car.

She knows a lot of people. Maybe an important asset.

"She's not an asset. People aren't tools," Haruka mouths to himself, knowing the voice can still hear him.

"Who're they?" Haruka asks vaguely, hoping for an answer from either Itou or Hana.

'Hana-chan, good to hear thattt. Gomen, I was busy yesterday, so we couldn't meet up.'

Miyuki also realised that there was someone talking to her. She seemed familiar, hmmm. Then it struck her, this was that 'interesting' person she had met and played against the other day.

'Um, Iguana was it? You want to give us a lift?'

Miyuki decided that since she had no idea what the situation was, that she'd leave it to Hana to decide.

'Your choice Hana, you want a lift?'

After she said this, she also noticed one of the strange people speaking.

'W-who am I? My name is Miyuki Himura, n-nice to meet you. What is your name?'

If Hana remembers correctly, Iguanocorg was a family friend who's very good friends with her dad. Perhaps her dad had sent Iguanocorg to pick her up? She's still driving on the wrong side of the road though, better point that out. Miyuki is invited to come along as well. She may as well take this as an opportunity to get a ride around town to the shopping district.

"Mii-hime let's go, but before that we should say our goodbyes to Darkyusha and the Sinner!"

Itou snaps out of his frozen state after Hana calls him Sinner

"who are you calling a sinner? What did I do?"

Even though he knew he still asked, but what else could he do? He seems totally out of place, so decides to ask Haruka at the same time:

"You know those people?"

Ighanna, mispronounced as Ighanna opened the door and allowed the 2 girls in after they said their goodbyes to the people they met. After that her driver starts up the car and continues to drive in the same direction, tho their were some mysterious arrows saying not to drive forward, Ighanna didn't wuite pay attention to it, nor did her chauffeur.

"Where do you want to go? I'll drop you off there. Also you're Miyuki's friend right? I think I've also heard about you from my dad, how coincidental!" Said Ighanna in a confident voice even though she was vaguely guessing the last part. Ighanna then told her chauffeur to follow the passenger's directions as Ighanna's eye close and her head rested on the cold, car windows. She fell asleep.

"My name is Haruka Nakahara. Nice to meet you." Haruka was about to extend his hand for a shake before the girls went. Haruka's blush quickly faded as he felt himself a bit more comfortable in the situation.

Wow. Look at you. Making friends. Being a normal teenager.

He also waved towards the woman in the car, as to not give off a weird impression. "It was nice meeting you guys. I'll probably see you all around."

The girls left and the only two remaining were Itou and Haruka himself.

"Err, not particularly. I ran into the one girl, Hana, at the train station the other day. Some pervert was carrying magazines and somebody who I assume was her sister beat the living-"

Watch your mouth.

"Crap out of him." Haruka turned his attention to Itou. "Weird, huh?"

"W-Wait!!" Haruka yells after him, but it's already too late. Itou has began his mad-dash towards the car into the shopping district. Haruka sighs and begins a long trudge towards the inner parts of the city.

"I need to sleep." With that remark, he begins his walk towards the inner city.

So much for sleeping... Tch. What a stubborn boy.

"You're right on that one, haha.." Haruka grins a big grin and keeps walking. Slowly but surely.

Hana Espoir +1

Itou -0/+0

Miyuki +1

Satoshi sat at the curb, thinking about his purpose. What was it, then, if it wasn't significant? Why could he talk to his cards and see other card spirits if there wasn't some reason for it? Everything had a purpose, didn't it? At least, that was how he was raised...even if that purpose wasn't big, it was still something...

"I don't suppose you've figured it out yet, have you?"

A voice out of thin air. Satoshi looked around, trying to figure out where it came from before looking forward and noticing a gentleman with flowing green hair just sort of...hanging there, in the middle of the street. Floating.

"Wh...who are you?" he asked, clearly perplexed by his ability to hang in the air indefinitely.

"Tell me what you remember about getting that suit," the figure replied, pointing at his clothes.

Satoshi scratched his chin. He remembered the lady saying she saw great potential and purpose in him despite looking outlandish, and wanted to help him fit in with the rest of the people in the city so he could pursue that purpose. Nothing about floaty guy, though.

The figure grinned. "That lady who helped you is one of my associates. There are a few of them around, here and there." He stopped floating and stepped forward, extending a hand.

"I am known by many names, but you can call me Seph."

Satoshi went to shake his hand and watched his fingers go right through. Seph chuckled. "Pardon, I forgot that I was a spirit for a moment. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, though, Satoshi Kurosaki."

Satoshi scratched the back of his head. "S-so...Mr. Seph...why are you here? I mean, I appreciate the suit and all, but..."

Seph nodded sagely. "No, you're correct. That's not entirely why I'm here." He bent down on his knees, even though he definitely didn't have to, and pointed in the direction of Satoshi's heart. "I'm here about this, actually." Satoshi looked down at his chest with a quizzical look.

"My heart?"

"Well, your motivation, if anything." Seph leaned back a bit, resuming his float. "You see, you do have an important task involving the planet Cray, albeit it's not...that significant."

"What is it?" Satoshi stood up, now genuinely curious in what Seph had to tell him. "Am I going to help in some major quest like the one Miss Yuki is doing?"

"Well...no, Hikari's task at the helm of the clan Royal Paladin is something a bit more...significant. But your task does involve assisting those like her." Seph floated up a bit to meet him at eye level. "See, Cray's clans and nations...they need leaders---no, not leaders. Champions." He pointed at Satoshi. "And I vouched for you as the champion of Neo Nectar. A lot of others don't necessarily like that, but I wanna help you help me prove them wrong."

"What exactly is it I have to do?"

"Well...essentially, as the champion of Neo Nectar, you're part of the forces that are fighting for the preservation of the current state of Cray. You're not leading the charge, like Hikari is with Royal Paladin. The Royals are in charge, we're more of...how do I put this..." Seph scratched his stubble for a bit before raising a finger. "Ah, lieutenant. That's a good word."

Satoshi bit his lip. "W-well...that seems important and all, but...what exactly am I supposed to do to help, beyond just being there?"

Seph shook his head. "That is something you have to determine as you proceed. What I can tell you for sure is that as long as you find those who share your trait or genuinely respect it, you will be with someone you must help protect. Such is the way of the champion gardener of Neo Nectar." He pat Satoshi on the head, which the boy noticed he actually felt this time. "I'll be with you via your deck when you need me. Just keep at it and you'll figure out what's going on. You're a smart young guy." Seph then disappeared into Satoshi's pocket, which took him by surprise until he noticed what card was at the bottom of his deck, facing out, as he went to go and look through.

He smiled. "So you're in Glass Beads right now...I see." He stood up. "Well, I can't let you down, can I? Especially after you've given me this chance and all." He walked off, aiming to find others who could speak with the cards, just like him.

It was late at night, but at last, Haruki reached the place he needed to be. The Rijiku Apartment Complex was a pretty place, painted with a nice variety of spring colors, and flower gardens everywhere. He ran straight to the door marked "203" in bright numbers, then knocked politely. It took a few minutes until Haruki realized that no one was home.

"I guess I'll drop these off in the room," Haruki said to himself. He unlocked the door and entered to see an apartment that's barely been touched. There was no furniture or colorful paintings on the walls... just empty. He looked inside and found all of the rooms were the same gray, blank space, he couldn't even tell what the rooms could have been for. Only one of them had a closet in it, so he assumed it would have become a bedroom, but when he opened the door, it was completely black, except for a few small, white words scrawled into the back wall.

you shouldn't have come here

Haruki took a step back from the eerie text, but there was nothing to step back to. The doors were shut behind him, and he could hear echoing voices coming from the outside.

"This was your own mistake.. invading my home. If you think you can escape now.. you don't stand a ghost of a chance.. Haruki."

The enclosed area he was in collapsed, and Haruki found himself in a graveyard. In front of him was a tombstone shaped like a cardfight table, and across the way was a child, no more than 2 or 3 years old by the looks of it, covered in extreme burns markings all over his small body. He was also standing by one of these tombstones, and in his hand was a vanguard deck.

"Wh-wh-what's going on?" Haruki finally spoke after experiencing this shocking series of events.

"This will be your final resting place. I know you were there that night, the night I was killed." The child spoke in a deep, ominous voice, seemingly matching with his decrepit appearance. "Your fate will be decided with these cards, the cards that my family has always used."

"WHAT!? I don't wanna die yet! Auauu~!" Haruki teared up slightly, but his vanguard deck began to float out of his bag onto the stone table. "This is omega spooky, but I have to win to get out of here. Fine, I'll fight you ghost baby!" A determined look from Haruki showed that he was pumped up for a fight.

"Stand up, Vanguard!" they both shouted.

"Mecha Trainer," Haruki said.

"Guiding Zombie," the child responded.

Their cardfight ensued, with Haruki's life on the line. Towards the last moments of the fight, the child attacked with Monster Frank and dealt a massive triple critical attack to Haruki. He managed to survive though, and won the game by being able to free up his front row with Juggernaut Maximum's skill, then superior calling two more after checking them with General Seifried's twin drive. The child was dealt his sixth damage and dispersed with a few last words.

"You can go free, but I will remain here.. Never leaving until I can have my revenge.." his words echoed as he faded away.

"Hey! Wait!" Haruki shouted at the ghostly figure, but it was too late. The graveyard around him shattered, and he was back outside the door marked 203. "What was that even?" Haruki said to himself as he looked in his hand and noticed the keys were missing. He continued to the train station towards his home without another word.

"What happened...?" holding his head in pain and his deck in his hand, the blonde-mixed Jellal was struggling down the residential area from the underground slums. He face had 2-3 dirt marks while his clothes were dusty. His blonde hair had patches of spots that settled. His hands were ashy and dry, yet still were gripping his Shadow Paladin deck. It was like he was in pain, he couldn't figure out what exactly was up, but he continued down the area. All that he could remember was being defeated by Hana and then blacking out.

"Ugh.." he thought at the sound of another defeat. He stopped and leaned against a brick wall, holding up his deck. "Why do I feel so... weak...?" he asked himself. Not just cardfight-wise, but physically, mentally, and spiritually weakened down. It was like he was struggling to continuing to find his destination. However, he knew the answer right away. It wasn't him, entirely..., but rather, the deck he is using. Sliding his back against the brick wall, sitting on the street while trying to recover, Jellal stares into his avatar card, waiting for a sign.

The very ground around Zellal shakes, and a large gust of wind blows all around him.

The ground rips apart and the houses are torn apart by large gusts of wind. Dust flies away without even a chance to scatter.
Trees are cut down by the sharpness of the storm and are taken away, the very world around Jellal turns to dust. It begins to rain heavily.
The pieces of the world gather in the distance, twisting into a tornado.

"Do you dare to step forward and become one with the storm?"

----------------------------------------------------

(Zellal has been summoned into the rift, step forward if you wish to proceed.)

After his exhausting trek from the beach, Shiki rested against a wall of some unknown house with his back full of sweat. It was one of the other reasons why he didn't enjoy going to the beach, the trip from his house to it is just too exhausting. And on top of that he didn't get any manga with him to read for the night. A night without manga wasn't a night at all, this quest was more important than his life, so even though he barely had any strenght to go forth, he had to do it.

After resting a bit against the cold wall he pushed himself forward, nearly tripping before fully getting on his own two feet, he then sloppily made his way towards the shoping district, full of hope he'd reach it before dying from exhaustion.

Haruka stares up at the sky. He holds onto a 100 yen bill with one hand, and a bar of sea-salt ice cream. He watches clouds drift, silently.

"Haruka. You're not yourself. You must accept these losses happen." Haruka stopped mid-lick. "I lost because I wasn't strong." He wasn't wrong, in his eyes. He accepted he lost, but he can't manage to pull himself together. He had one chance at discovering true strength. He felt too weak to check, so he was unaware of the tournament competitor's. Haruka felt weak. He realized that he had no chance. Satoshi and Yukino were already so far ahead of him and he was so far behind that at his rate all Haruka can do is work twice as hard for half the profit. He finds himself taking his sweet time with the ice cream. It's not a particularly hot evening, so the ice cream isn't exactly melting too fast.

"Haruka. Are you listening. Haruka!" Haruka's eyes widen. "W-What...?"

Haruka snaps back into reality. "What do you want-"

"It isn't over! You are My Vanguard, and I am yours. Now please, try again. Do not stop fighting. Don't let the flame go out." Haruka bites the last bit of ice cream off the stick and tosses it to the side.

His eyes focused on the sky are now facing in front of him. "Y-You're right. You are..." His hands were shaking, but now they're steady. His mind is focused. "Okay. I'll fight again. No matter how many times I fall down-"

"You will always stand back up." Overlord took the words straight from Haruka's mouth.

"Now go. Find your resolve once more. And once you do. Burn everything in your way to ash."

Haruka's mouth opens to say something, but instead morphs into a smile. "Right. To ash." Haruka clenches his fist and starts off out of the Residential District.

Shrouded in darkness lay a young man, rather disheveled.
The bed was soft and a cool breeze was blowing, however, the man seemed in visible discomfort.
Beads of sweat stood out on his forehead while he restless curled and turned in his slumber.
His eyes were closed, his eyelids twitching.

In his dream, Daichi sees nothing but a faint light.
Lost in the darkness, and what seemed to be the abyss closing it's very gates on an uninvited guest.

"Do not be scared. I am the answer to all your Questions. Come to me. Find me."

He walks towards this light.
The light intensifies as Daichi takes his steps slowly towards it.
The void almost seems to disappear due to it, and Daichi has to shield his eyes due to the intensity of the glow.

As the light dims, Daichi is now standing in a street that seems familiar.

"India? Home?", he thinks to himself.
His thoughts are interrupted by the screech of tires. He watches a car crash into a truck.
He does not know how to respond but rushes into the scene. The road seems rather empty, the car turned over, and the truck, nowhere to be seen.
He rushes to one of the open windows and sees something he cannot believe. It is his sister, but she does not seem to be in pain.

"You know who did it. He is around you. Oni-san, help me, this last time."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With trembling hands, Daichi gets hold of his glasses, covered in cold sweat. He rushes to the tap and washes his face multiple times.
He opens a box, cracks a tablet and drops it into a glass of water. He gulps it down in one go.
Still trembling from the experience he just had and covered in cold sweat, he picks up his mobile and texts Haruka.

"Meet me up ASAP. I need to discuss about something."

Coffee scents the air. Haruka was awake rather late last night, consoling his new friend Yukino, as well as his rival and pal Satoshi. None of them managed to make Nationals, yet with instilled confidence and a reason to stand back up, Haruka awakes with a smile on his face. He grabs the nearest hoodie and puts it on. Normally he's equipped with one of his many scarves, but when nobody is around, there isn't much of a point in hiding his burns.

"Mmmm... Smells good." As Haruka goes to reach for his bedroom door, he hears a buzzing sound from his dresser. "Cell phone? Who has my number? I haven't given it to Yukino or Satoshi.. Maybe Hana-" Haruka reaches out for it before he freezes. "Daichi." He quickly grabs the phone and gets the message.

"Let's meet up, ASAP. -Daichi"

Haruka sighs out and reaches for his scarf. "I really wanted that pot of coffee too. Maybe when I get back..."

After finishing his somewhat quickened morning routine, Haruka is dressed in his casual outfit. White tank top, navy blue cardigan, a pair of dark jeans and the scarf of his choosing. Today it was a red one with black stripes.

He dashes out of his apartment building and over to Daichi's home across the neighborhood in a nearby complex.

"What's wrong?" Overlord inquired.

"A friend in need." Haruka had no time to waste.

With his Vanguard deck and bookbag on his back, Neo walked into the district. While looking around, he noticed that there was no one to be seen, so he decides to look around the area. Neo comes across a bench and sits down to take a break from his journey. After taking a sip of water, he looks through his deck which contained the Kagero clan. Neo was one to always be ready for battle at anytime. So he decides to stay at the bench intil he figures out what to do next.

Haruki walked to the Rijiku Apartment Complex, the place where he was told to meet with Sydney. As expected, the sickly man was standing by the building waiting for the boy to arrive. He looked towards Haruki and made a gesture to go up to that room. As they reached the door marked 203, Sydney was the first to speak. "This place, I still remember the misfortune that was struck upon me here... to finally be released from it all.." He reached for the doorknob. The knob twisted, and a click was heard, then the door cracked open. They looked inside and Haruki lead the feeble man to the closet.

The doors were shut behind him, and they could hear echoing voices coming from the outside.  "So you've returned Haruki... I see you've brought the man I shall enact my revenge on... or... are you trying to defeat me? If you're trying to beat me... you don't stand a ghost of a chance."

The area collapsed just like before, and the two were in a graveyard with the ghost. Sydney explained, "This isn't any ordinary way to release a curse. If we want to set everything straight, it has to be done through cardfighting. In other words, we must both defeat him."

"Stand up, Vanguard!" they all shouted as they each turned over their starting vanguard. "Mecha Trainer!" "Workerpod Saturday!" "Guiding Zombie!" The two players gave it their all against this ghost child. Soon enough, Sydney dealt the sixth damage to the spirit with his Dimension Police. "Leading the way to Justice! Attack! Super Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha!

"Tsk," the ghost muttered in hatred. "You may have won once, but I still gain the full benefits of destroying you when I deal the final damage to Haruki. Haruki gave it his all, but he was with his back against the wall as the ghost kid came with attack after attack. He was at 5 damage. The child's field however, was filled with attackers.

"...I don't guard." Haruki was out of options and he was finally at his end. "Checking damage," he said, as he prepared for the worst... Cheer Girl, Tiara! Overjoyed, Haruki recovered his damage and was set for victory. "Final Turn." Juggernaut dealt the final blow as the spirit could guard no longer. He took the final damage and was vanquished.

Without a word, the ghost immediately transformed into a cluster of doves, and they flew off into the blue sky above. The door was now covered with all assortments of spring flowers, signaling a new beginning for the two fighters. "I'm finally cured from the curse," Sydney said with glee. "Thank you, Haruki. You've been the greatest help I could ask for! If you ever need something in the slums, I'm your guy."

"Sydney, you were amazing in that fight, and thanks for the help. I'll be sure to take your offer if need be, and maybe even fight against that amazing Dimension Police deck," Haruki replied with just as much happiness as Sydney. They walked their separate ways from the apartments, Sydney to the slums, and Haruki towards Card Capital to have some more fun games after a long adventure.

Laying down on his single mattress Hikaru was thinking of the events from yesterday. Having failed to find fighters that would give him a real challenge he had checked on the slums just in case. What happened next was unsettling.

Laying on the floor were the fighters of the slums with their cards scattered around the area.

"What the hell... He walked over to one of them and picked him up by the collar. "Hey who did this to you all?

The thug open his eyes slightly and breathed out who had caused the mess. "...Europe..King of vanguard...glasses....girl with a final breath he want back to the realm of sleep.

He got off the bed after remembering the events of yesterday he headed out the door. "King of Vanguard or who ever you are i'll find you and make you regret ever crossing the underground.

Haruka awoke in his room from what felt like a million-year sleep filled with nothing but nightmares. But they weren't nightmares. And he didn't sleep. Instead, he silently laid in bed, replaying the events of the night over and over again, thinking of what he could have done differently. But he knows nothing he could have done would have fixed anything that had gone last night. He shuffles out of bed, making himself a cup of coffee, as per the usual, and grabbed his deck from his bedroom dresser. He looked over the cards once more. New things has made an appearance. Two copies of "Calamity Tower Wyvern", a draw power card at the cost of some soul, "Flame of Hope, Aermo", a cycling card that activates when he boosts and the attack hits. His sipped his coffee, studying his deck. He needed to be ready for anything and everything that was going to happen that night. He couldn't allow himself to be unprepared. Not one bit.

After finishing his morning cup, and two more after, he gets dressed and leaves his house. It isn't exactly morning anymore. Afternoon had struck rather quickly, but this didn't exactly make a difference to Haruka. He needed to find somebody. Whether it be the Queen, the Princess, or their Royal Guard. Standing idly around as hell broke out on Cray was not going to cut it. He held his avatar, Dragonic Overlord, smiling. Overlord got angry when Haruka wasn't giving it his all. This was the least he could do for him.

"Alright. Let's go. Ready?"

"Always, My Vanguard."

After my cardfight with Yuzuki I headed back on the road, but for some reason the things that Yuzuki kid said to me stayed in my head. Being friends? Playing Vanguard for fun? I told myself I couldnt trust anyone and that I only play Vanguard to look for answers on my parents. As I kept walking, I saw this bright light appear in front of me and it blinded me. Then I heard this voice saying "Break your limits" The light soon faded. "What was that about" I asked myself. Thinking it was nothing, I decided to stop by at a rest stop to take a break. When I took off my bag my deckcase fell out and the top card came out the box. When I picked up the card, I soon realized what had happened to me... The card read Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion and it was from the clan Narukami. I asked myself what are these cards? Looking through the entire deck, I realized this Narukami clan was my entire new deck. I put the deck in my deckcase, strapped my bag on and started running to find more answers. What had happened to my deck and where did this new deck come from?

<<SLAM>>

The door was slammed shut behind him. Kurai let out a sigh."She still must be angry at the fact I came home extremely late. probably worried her too much as well doing that." The 'she' he was referring to was his little sister, Yuri. After a frustrating defeat at the hands of the mysterious challenger whom's name he couldn't remember, he had left Card Capital in anger and had originally planned to go home and rest;but instead decided to walk around town. When he eventually returned home (around about the time of 2:00am) he noticed Yuri asleep in the living room and made the decision to walk up the stairs to his room and sleep, during his sleep, his aggression subdued.

That lead to the situation right now. Yuri threw him out of the house straight after waking him up. "Good thing I slept in my clothes last night or things would be worse then they already are" he told himself in a quiet voice. he walked to the main path of the residential area, he didn't know the main area itself, however he knew that he would eventually figure out most of the places and locations in due time.

He walked over to a nearby lamppost and decided to lean on it, chilling out for a bit.

Haruki walked through the residential area, searching for residents in need of assistance. As he patrolled the area, the young man of justice noticed another person by a lamppost in the main area. This man in the distance was Kurai, someone Haruki recognized from quite some time ago.

Haruki proceeded to go over to the cardfighter to see if there was justice that could be done. As he reached Kurai, however, another man had come too. Doing what any great person would, Haruki started out with a greeting.

"Hello there. Are you two in need any assistance?"

Shin'in just walked past him. Kurai was, of course not paying attention to the detail of the person at the time, only realising the moment the person turned around and walked towards him to ask what he was doing. At the same time, Kurai noticed the presence of another person, Haruki Yahagi, the carefree boy that had a cardfight in the store with him along time ago.

He opened his red eye's and addressed both of them in a tired voice. "what do you two want" he said without remorse, clearly still slightly annoyed from the past evening's event.

Haruki saw that Kurai was in a bad position at the time. Some event of injustice must have occurred to cause this man to feel so tired and upset. However, in his training, Haruki knew it was not always best to rush to the problem. Kurai wanted to know what the two in front of him wanted, so he would answer that first.

"I was patrolling the area in search of residents that could need help. That's what any man of justice would be doing of course. Anyway, it's good to see you again Kurai." Haruki turned to the other man. "And who might you be, sir?"

Hazama just got off from his part-time job. Hot from the heat, he has his shirt unbuttoned, revealing his nice, tan abs, and losened his tie. Sense it was too hot to take a long, nice, scenic walk, he decided to take a shortcut though the residential area.

Then, he sees Haruki, Shin'en, and the Dark Irregulars player from Card Capital, all at a gathering on the sidewalk.

This will be interesting.

Hazama keeps a low profile to not get noticed while the event goes down.

Hana, taking Pr❤ism for a walk, is walking through the neighborhood. She had somewhat of a headache from last night as she stayed up pretty late with everyone. She walked through the house of one of her dad's friends, the one where she had to deliver some package to before and she proceeded to keep walking along with her dog through the many houses. She was dressed simply today, a yellowish tank top and blue shorts, with her blue hair tied into a ponytail.. She also wore a different purse today as the old one was starting to fall out of her taste. This one was a leather purse with some checkered gray and white pattern. It had tan brown straps as well as a key chain with a corgi on it hanging from one of the handles.

She walked past a group of people who seem like familiar faces that are regular to Card Capital. She decided that she may as well go greet them a good morning.

"Ohayou minna-san." she waved
"Woof," Pr❤ism greeted them.

"You want to know who I am?" Haruki prepared for this moment, for someone to ask his name. "I am the light of justice, the strongest man in the world. I, am Haruki Yahagi!" He put his fist up triumphantly as he said this, but as soon as he finished his great statement, Haruki heard someone saying good morning to them.

The young man of justice turned around to see a girl and her dog standing beside the three guys now. Dogs were loyal pets, with a strong sense of justice, so Haruki could tell this girl was a righteous person.

"Good afternoon madam," Haruki politely said.

Kurai had the feeling like he was being watched. [It's probably Yuri looking onto the street from her bedroom window. Oh well.] the thought to himself, but was still unable to shake it off. His eye's flickered into a crimson colour.

"Haruki Yahagi...." he said his name with a serious tone, temporally ignoring Shin'en. "I can sense just by looking at you that you have  had a dramatic change  in strength... but your personality has not changed in the slightest." He then addressed Shin'en. "Don't act like you know me, last I checked I only fought you and held a door open for you, not to mention gave you advice getting over Bla...losing Vortimer to some punk"

For some reason he was about to say something else, for a moment his memory flashed back different to how he remembered it. He shrugged it off and his turned back to their usual red shade.

"Haruki, I've been in the Hospital for awhille, got out yesterday as a matter of fact, how about we test how strong you have gotten"

"Hello," she politely waved at the the D-Roboy.

It looks like they were going to start a fight. If she heard what that Edgeboi said, those were some aggressive words. Pr❤ism wagged her tail as Hana made an abrupt stop to gauge all of those who were there. She knew Shin'en from the regional tournament and she things that she's seen the other two here before, but she couldn't point her finger where. That one guy was being too serious for a random encounter in a random neighborhood, all the reason to stay and not watch this fight. She hated the idea and act of proving "strength" or anything of that sort through Vanguard anyways. Nonetheless, she had to go proceed to walking her dog around the park and later of have a possible training session with some nakamas. She turned to the only one who she liked, D-Roboy.

She gave him a curtsy to signal that she has to take her leave, and she proceeded to walk towards the park.
"Good luck and get him good!"

The girl of justice walked off with her loyal dog giving Haruki a "Hello" and "Good luck" for his fight with Kurai. Then their battle began.

It was an intense cardfight between the two. They both had strong vanguards with overpowering criticals. Haruki fought with a strong passion, but his Super Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha's power was no match for the triple critical of Blade Wing, Reijy. The young man took his loss with honor, and saw it as another chance to grow.

"Nice game Kurai. I can tell you're a great fighter of justice."

"Agreed, Haruki Yahagi."

The two shook hands for such a great game and collected their cards as they parted ways. This was definitely a fighter Haruki wanted to be like, and even surpass. Kurai could be harsh at times, but when he's fighting, the guy is amazing.

It was Kurai's turn, he had no grade 3 in his hand and had only one shot in pulling one from his draw. "My turn, I stand and Draw..." The card he drew was a grade 3, but non-other than Blade Wing, Reijy, the very card in his deck he had never been able to use. He closed his eyes. Opened them once more.... "I Ride... Blade Wing, Reijy!" With this, black shadows emerged from the vanguard circle. The shadows submerged Kurai's Emblem Master and transformed it into Reijy. There it stood, ready for battle.

It was an intense cardfight between the two. They both had strong vanguards with overpowering criticals. Haruki fought with a strong passion, but his Super Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha's power was no match for the triple critical of Blade Wing, Reijy. Kurai was the Victor.

Haruka found himself waking up at night again. His sleep schedule had been rather poor recently after power-sleeping at the Espoir Estate. After stretching and getting his wake-up coffee, Haruka takes a seat at his dining room table Satoshi had already been up and out so Haruka was alone at the time. He sat down at his dining room table, looking through his deck.

"Vortimer... Viviane... Lop Ear?..." The names of his cards were still so foreign. The names he wanted to say were Bahr, Nehalem and Burning Horn Dragon. But they weren't the cards there. And Haruka was coming to realize something fast.

"I'll never save Overlord if I don't work with you guys. Will I?" Haruka waited for a response. Seemingly on cue, Vortimer materializes across from him, sword in hand. Despite Vortimer having 4 forms, he always shows up in his Grade 1 form, the Scout of Darkness.

"I... Hmm. I don't particularly like your kind, ya know. You're picky. And if you intend to fight with us, the Gold Paladins, you don't get to be picky."

Haruka knew that well. Topdecking was the clan's priority, along with side-effects. "Right. I'll try to work with you best then."

Vortimer's eyes widened. A change of heart? "Right then. I'll try to get your chain off and we'll perfect your calls. That way, when I go full beast-mode," he grins mischievously , "I'll stand back up, right?"

For a moment, Haruka was speechless. Then, he nodded with a smile. "Right. We'll stand back up." He goes to high five Vortimer, forgetting it's only a figment of his own imagination and hits the air.

Good thing I'm alone.

It was pretty easy to tell Yukino wasn't the most comfortable in a house four times smaller than the manor. Still, just to be with Haruka, she attempted to manage. More than spare clothing came several kits of makeup supplies, with some stuffed animals too. She loved him, so she found herself content with letting him know how much she liked them as a little girl. Mind you, it was still embarrassing to unveil the fact that the woman was twenty and still keeping them around to sleep with. Despite having Dad Espoir's consent and... more violent blessings for her to deliver to Haruka, he'd have popped in out of nowhere and killed him had they slept in the same bed. Luckily, there was two separate in the same room.

Having her boyfriend around didn't cease the nightmare's replay, however. More did the gravity beast attempt to speak to her, once again telling her to despair. The flag would be destroyed. What flag? While not waking up in a state of panic again, she was still sweating and panting somewhat.

Yugure decided that there was no time to dread on it, however.

The details for Earth's "War of Liberation" were released, but it didn't seem Earth had any real clue of what the event actually meant for Cray. She needed to start with earning vouchers, feeling there was none to support her due to emotional status being a wreck. The queen and Ezel needed to renew their prowess, so she promptly left with a note on the door.

Went out to work, have to make up for lost time. Call/Text when you wake up.

You're also really cute when you're asleep.

If only the morning wasn't so blinding. Upon waking up due to the shining in between his curtains.

"Eh.. Ick." Haruka wipes the corner of his lip. He drooled again. He rolled out of bed and checked his phone for the time, realising he also had a message from Yukino.

"Already up and out of here, huh? Well... Can't expect her to stay put exactly." Haruka heads out to the living room, messing with the stereo system that had been installed. He ended up throwing it on and playing whatever was suiting his fancy.

In the kitchen, Haruka faced a new enemy.

"Coffee cup number 7, we finally meet..." His body was probably still on caffeine OD, but he knew he must accept this ultimate challenge.

After downing two more cups and realizing how bad of an idea that was, Haruka finally gets dressed, picking out his black and white scarf and sets out for the day.

Remembering just now Yukino wanted Haruka to text her when he got up, he sent a little message her way.

"Oh, I see your out then? Dont push yourself. I'll get rly upset.

PS. You're the cutie tho. -haaru"

Cheesy, but it worked for him.

Satoshi stumbled in, a tired wreck. The previous day had been something else. Jellal had managed to demonstrate the power of Aqua Force many times over, but unfortunately, because of Neu's interference, the farmboy hadn't really been able to experience it for himself and recruit him to their side immediately.

Well, at least he was on their side.

Jellal +5 AP

He flopped down, staring up at the ceiling. He was so sure he had figured out Neu, but he had no proof. Without that proof, of course his theory didn't make any sense. He must've sounded so insane, thinking what he thought. It was ridiculous. Why had he even tried to reason with her in the first place? Hell, why was he even trying to work so hard for Cray when it wasn't really his purpose to handle alone?

He groaned a bit. The frustrating part about thinking that was that the only two people who were anywhere close to dealing with this problem were him and Jellal. The fact that Neu had groupies, too...that was just going to make things harder and harder, especially in the case of trusting other people. Neo he had recognized from asking about Vermillion...how could that guy, who was close enough to meet up at the mansion with the rest of them, be so certain Neu was going to help him? He had even seen Tsubasa as well...

He turned over, feeling like he was going to finally fall asleep. He noticed that Haruka's stuff wasn't there. "Probably staying with Miss Yuki..." he mumbled. Probably best to leave them be until they actually were concerned enough to try and talk to him about...other things.

He made a quick decision not to talk about Neu to them, as it would only lead to their overall frustration with each other, and fell asleep.

Of course things had gotten worse before they got better. Haruka arrived back at the temporary house before Yukino it seems. He never really caught up with her today, somewhat defeating the purpose of the whole house setup by Hana.

Hana....

Haruka flicks through his contacts, debating calling Yukino.

"Eh... She'll probably be home soon.." He flips the phone shut and grabs a mug and makes a pot. Coffee at night? Sounds about right. Ten minutes later, Haruka is in his bedroom, pot of coffee at his side. Too much work to get a mug and all that nonsense.

The. Whole. Pot. Of. Coffee.

Haruka.... Please don't kill us tonight.

"Don't sweat it."

Kurai walked down the path to his house, it had been a week since he was here. He wanted to see if anything had changed in the week he had left. But it seemed like nothing had changed in the slightest. Kurai then leaned on a nearby lamppost whilst taking his deck out of his pocket. He gave it a glance and took out one card. That card was Demon World Marquis Amon. With this, he spoke lightly, so only those in a close proximity could hear him. "Hopefully we got stronger... Amon"

Haruki was really happy today. The other day he was congratulated by the local police for helping the woman in the park who got her purse stolen. It was a big boost in his rise to becoming a hero of justice. He walked through the residential area, seeing if he could help other people in need. As he patrolled the area, he spotted his friend Kurai looking at his deck. The young man of justice went over to greet his friend with a wave, as he hadn't seen him for a while.

"Hey Kurai. How've you been?" Haruki gave a friendly smile as he said hello.

Kurai looked up from Amon and turned his attention to the voice. It was Haruki, the boy of justice he was antiquated with. It seemed like Kurai didn't notice him. It was Kurai's street that he lived on, and he was in the very same spot as he was before when they cardfighted each other. He decided to play it cool and greet him. "I've just came back from my week in Kyoto. I've been training there. What have you been doing Haruki?"

"Nice, I've been doing some training myself." Haruki was happy to hear that his friend was doing well while he was gone in Kyoto. "I've been honing my cardfighting skills for the new Hero of Cray contest that was announced, and using my justice to help the people too. I really should thank you for those dimensional robo cards, they were a great improvement to my deck."

The game had ended in a critical situation for Kurai. A trigger had been revealed that sealed his fate. He wonders who Haruki had made friends during his absence. He decided to put forward the question. "You made any new friends since I was gone?"

The game was intense to the very end, with both players at 5 damage. Haruki pulled a critical trigger in the final turn and managed to pull a victory over Kurai. They had a ton of fun in their fight, and they even congratulated each other on how they each improved when it finished. Afterwards, Kurai wanted to know about Haruki's friends.

"I have a whole bunch of great friends that I met by helping them out of problems and through fun cardfights too. It's really great how Vanguard can create bonds of friendship like that."

"Well, i've fought America's national champion before I left for Kyoto... what was her name again?" He was thinking of her name, he knew it began with N but it was a bit foggy. "Oh I remember, her name was Neu Edelwiess, she acted weird to me but she was a strong fighter. Asking question like if I liked Vanguard and said some harsh words to me. Although she did tell me alot about herself. But for some reason Amo..." He stopped mid-sentence, just before he was able to reveal Amon's existence he abruptly stopped and took a relaxing breath of air

Haruki was surprised that Neu was the National Vanguard champ of America. He knew she must have been a good fighter from how she used legendary clans like Kagero and Shadow Paladin, but it was interesting to know that the girl was so great at the game. He thought about what else Neu could have told Kurai, but pushed the though aside to clear up the possible conflict his friend could have with her.

"Yeah, Neu likes to have fun in Vanguard. Don't take offense to weird things she might say though, it's usually meant to be for good fun." Haruki was confused by what Kurai when he cut himself off. "What about Amo?"

Kurai's plan to cut his sentence abruptly to deter Haruki from his unfinished thought. "Well... I can no longer hide the fact of the true no-longer." he spoke in a serious voice. His other eye turned crimson. Amon had taken control. "Kurai here doesn't know when to keep things quiet... AT LEAST its not Golden Boy he spilled the beans to, but we digress and it is instead... the Justice Kid. Here is your prize, don't stare al day you know."

Amon was slightly annoyed at Kurai for being unable to keep him a secret from people but was aright with Haruki finding out. "Listen...Kid Justice, I am Amon, the Alternate personality that Kurai has, remember that incident in Shop Handsome? That was me!. I'm the one that senses something odd with that Neu girl, she... for some reason makes me feel fear when i'm near her. Now any questions?"

Kurai having an alternate personality didn't come as much as a shock to Haruki as he would have expected. After all, he had witnessed the sharp changes in his friend's personality a few times before. He was glad to finally know the reason behind it now.

"Hm, not really any questions. You probably had a justifiable reason to keep this secret. So you're Amon, like Demon World Marquis, Amon?" Haruki smiled at his cleverness.

Amon gave him a blank stare. [Well, this kid's an idiot, but kinda smart.... I'll digress.] "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, let your imagination run wild." Amon reaches out, giving Haruki a piece of paper. "This is Kurai's phone number, use it wisely" With this Amon walked away, returning control to Kurai.

"Seems like the area is fine. I'll head out then." Haruki walked off to get something to eat after a long day of justice.

Since preparations were seemingly taking longer than expected, Hana decided to go and take her dog for a walk. She was growing each and everyday it seems and Hana missed her while she gone with her mom abroad. There was a certain charm that the small Labrador had that gave Hana a warm feeling of comfort when looking at it. It was wagging its tail, its paws in rapid movement in order to make up for its lack of distance and in order to match Hana's steps. It was happily looking around, with its tongue sticking out as if waving and saying hello to the locals that were passing by. The dog was so cute that Hana was on the verge of tears because of how cute she was. Basically like how she reacts to idols. Very nice.

Finally getting out of there, Haruka found himself messing with his hair as he walked back towards his house. He was contemplating getting it cut a bit shorter before the huge tournament, as a change of pace. Then again, he wasn't sure how Yukino or Satoshi would like it. Hana might make fun of him for it too, considering it was finally just starting to grow out a bit.

Speak of the devil. Just in the direction of his house, stood a Miss Hana Espoir and her dog. He hadn't the seen dog in quite awhile, but Hana and Haruka had just met up the day before. No use just walking behind her awkwardly. He might come off as some stalker or something.

"Hey, Hana!" Haruka waved, smiling. His day had been nice mostly, besides that strange occurrence at the Hall, it didn't exactly bother him. All in all, Haruka was in a good mood. Might as well try to enjoy it with friends.

"Woof. Woof. Woof?" The dog said.

"You did what?" Hana asked, dumbfounded.

It seems that the dog had resisted taking a bath the other day and ended up splashing a whole bunch of water on one of the workers. It is woofing out its feelings and venting to Hana because it apparently feels a large amount of guilt at the moment. Hana looked at it, smiling and somewhat jealous of how easygoing it is. She thought that it was nice, that at least her dog could feel comfort just by talking about its worries. Suddenly, from seemingly out of nowhere came Yukinee's bf with a creepy greeting.

"Konichiwa Yukinee's bf."she greeted him back.

"'Sup? And uh, oh, PR<3ISM grew up a bit. It's only been a bit less than a week but wow." Haruka was genuinely surprised at the dog's progress the past few days. He looked back at Hana again, tilting his head.

"Shouldn't you be at the house getting ready for the beach trip and all? That's soon right? Also, err, you been training for the New York stage? Everyone seems to be taking it so casually, me included but, it just seems weird." Haruka starts to take a bit to ponder why everyone is so uppity today, but not normally when there isn't usually much going on.

Today is just complicated in itself.

Miyuki sighed as she left the Mansion. She felt like she hadn't left it in awhile, so she had decided to go out today. There was also that text that she'd recieved from Yukino of all people, asking her if she wanted to meet Hana at the beach. She said yes of course, but decided to freshen up outside. 'Where to go' she thought. The park was an option, but she didn't really feel like going there.

Eventually she decided to go to the residential area. She had nothing to really do, but she did know a few of the people who lived there, or she might meet other people there. 'Perhaps it would be a good idea to play vanguard again' she thought, remembering that the world circuit was starting soon. She wasn't really sure why she had signed up for it, but had done it on a whim. Shrugging, she entered the residential area, and started wandering around.

It hadn't occurred to Hana to actually practice for the New York Stage. More or less, she's been naturally doing enough practice to make for it anyways. She thought about it for a bit, if she wanted to actually take it seriously. Signing up wasn't really her choice, but as national champion and all she was forced to. It was more of an obligation than a desire to actually participate.

"Well I've just been doing my usually practice, yes. Would you like to do a fight right now?"

"I would, if I actually had my deck." Haruka turned his head away slightly, kind of ignoring the question a little. All in all, even if he had his deck, today was more of a day of relaxation. Even he himself wasn't up for training for the NY Stage, despite criticizing others for not doing it also. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

With his head turned, out of the peripherals he noticed a face he hadn't seen since she disappeared from the mansion.

"Miyuki-?" Haruka hadn't exactly called out to her, but his voice carries a bit too well sometimes, nearly shouting for her.

Oops.

He fixed his scarf as a ploy, but it was pretty obvious how loud he was. It's just like the first time Hana found him with Itou. His voice just happens to bounce. Everywhere.

Hana let out a disappointed sigh. She wanted to actually fight someone, but I guess nothing goes her way ever.

Yup, can't be like Yukino.

She picked up Pr<3ism and looked at her just to keep at least some of her good vibes going within her. Well, speaking of good vibes, Mi-hime was in the distance. Somehow that made things better as well. Hana didn't call out to her or anything, she just stayed silent and looked down on the ground.

She had been walking through the residential area when someone called her name. Quite loudly at that. Miyuki glanced over, and saw Haruka and Hana standing next to each other, as well as the labrador that Hana had.

'H-hi' she said, walking over, aware of the fact that she hadn't properly seen either of them for a bit. 'How are you guys?'. Hana in particular looked slightly down, Miyuki wondered if something had happened.

"Ehh, hey there!" Haruka waved casually. Except he always looked creepy no matter what he did so that was also probably really creepy.

Well, that was awkward.

"Are you going to the beach with us too?" Haruka inquired. According to a text Haruka was checking as he asked,  the butler would be coming to pick them up rather soon. This wasn't particularly any trouble, but he still needed to get his swim trunks and deck. Considering everyone seems to a fighty mood, aka Hana, he figured it'd be a good idea.

Hana ran her hands through the soft fur which was very soft. She was happy to see Mi-him once again. She moved her eyes towards her and gave a wave and smile. "Hi..." She hadn't seen her in awhile either since she's been too locked up in the manor recently. At least today would be something different.

She checked her phone and there seemed to be a text message. As soon as she read it, from the corner of her eye, she saw that there was a black sedan creeping up close to them. It used to be a white minivan, but then too many of the butlers would often get stopped by the authorities for being too suspicious, not that this was any less strange.

In one of the many carbon copy homes would be seen a moving truck with three big burly men and Alexander, carrying items to and fro from truck to home. A blonde woman in her forties wearing glasses carrying more western European features giving orders to the folks, a sigh followed by both him and the group as one would likely mistake the work as slave labour if three fourths of the people under her thumb weren't getting paid.

Alexander didn't seem to change much, his confident persona still lay ever apparent for all to see though a tiny increase in height might be noted. The air around him would still be jolly old Alexander, though he looked as if having matured somewhat at the very least. Sweat was dripping from his body, his black shirt sticking to his body though luckily he was wearing grey sweats for comfort. Ugh, he wanted a shower so bad, but he was trapped under a fate of temporary servitude. Yet as fate would have it he had moved to a rather interesting place, when his mother had told him the news he quite literally jumped for joy, her new employers calling her over to live in the area for convenience, and in turn the travel fees would be payed for by said company. Quite the deal.

Interestingly enough he had kept him moving as a secret for the moment, wanting to surprise the others that he had been keeping in contact with. Specifically Seifer, Tsubasa, and Haruka. Their faces as he struts in might make his weekto be honest, what a dastardly character!

Satoshi mumbled and rubbed his eyes. Late afternoon again, obviously. Last night was kind of a blur. He remembered eating dinner with Yukino, trying to make small talk, and then going separate ways. No further interaction, nothing really at all that special.

Actually, it kind of annoyed him a bit. She had become noticeably more dispassionate towards the friends she made a decent while ago. Mentioning moving on wasn't entirely nonsense; it was reasonable to propose that he not let his mind dwell on the past. But it felt like whatever tie wound itself a while ago was weakening between them. To think that they were best friends...that wasn't exactly something he felt last night, even with the fact that she came by in the first place.

He shook his head. This wasn't something he should be thinking about first thing he woke up. It wasn't the time or temperature to---

Wait, temperature?

Satoshi felt really heated, as though some illness was about to come over him. As he was about to get up and get a cup of water, he saw it.

A black ring with a red outine, flashing in his vision suddenly as the rest of the world disappeared around it. Accompanied by a sentence.

"Lock away your problems, Kurosaki."

---

An hour later, the vision stopped and he awoke in the middle of his floor in a hot sweat. He looked around from his sprawled out position. The room looked okay, maybe he had just been---

There was a hole on the wall from the full force of a fist.

<Oh. Well then.> Satoshi pushed himself up on his butt, staring at the hole. <Wonder what caused that...>

"As it turns out, Mr. Kurosaki, you did."

The farmboy froze. Someone else was in the room with him. That wasn't something he was expecting. But the statement was followed by a gentle giggle.

"Relax, Satoshi-san. It's me." Fortuna placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "You were out of it for a while. You really had me worried."

Satoshi rubbed his forehead. "What the hell happened? I felt really hot all of a sudden and then I saw this ring...and now I'm here and there's a hole in the wall."

"A fair recount of events from your perspective." Fortuna rested her chin on his head, trying to comfort him just a little despite the slight bombshell she was going to drop. "What we observed of you on Cray, on the other hand...well, there might just be a tad more." She sighed a bit. "You lost control of your body for about ten minutes."

Her champion's brow furrowed. "I lost what now?" The last time he hadn't been in complete control of his body was when his soul was bonded to Sephirot, and he was fully awake and conscious during it, so having no awareness of what had happened was out of the ordinary.

Fortuna pat him gently. "Yes. You froze, and then...started reacting violently." She directed his gaze to other parts of the room. A lot of furniture had been overturned or knocked over, now that he could tell. One chair sat on the floor without legs; the legs had been split multiple times what seemed to be by hand. Satoshi stared in awe. Did he really do all of this?

"Did I...say anything during all of this?" He rubbed his face, trying to remember.

Fortuna nodded. "You expressed immense frustration at the way people went on their separate ways. You mentioned something about not having proper goodbyes, and that if you could help it, people were going to stay by you." She stood up, patting his head. "Very aggressive and not at all like what you learned in meditation."

Satoshi continued to stare at the broken chair legs. This sort of frustration...sure, he understood being upset about this, but to act in such a way was very unlike him.

The phrase rang in his mind and he suddenly remembered what he could ask about. "Fortuna...did your observations pick up anything of a voice saying 'Lock away your problems'?"

The Goddess ran a hand through her hair, thinking over what she had seen and heard. Her own brow furrowed. "This is something that happened to you, Satoshi-san?"

He nodded. "It was all I could hear when I saw that ring. Do you think it means something?"

Fortuna froze. "A...a ring?" Her mind wandered to the message she had seen over the course of the previous year, the one about the invasion. Was this ring something to do with it? Had this been dormant in Satoshi's mind the whole time, and it was starting to swell up? That wasn't even the only thing. The presence of the being she had been observing as a part of her champion's psyche...similar auras had started showing up detected within the vicinty. As to who they were, it was unclear, but...

She shook her head. "Don't let it worry you, Satoshi-san. Genesis will take care of you and inform you if something was the matter." A blatant lie, because something definitely was the matter, but he had clearly established he didn't want to know recently. She would have to bring it up at the next Council meeting, probably causing Sephirot to worry and want to step in.

But there was going to be nothing he could do, anyway. The black ring had appeared to her via the Wheel of Destiny. If anything, she expected this to happen. Though, so soon...Fortuna gave a quick bow and disappeared back to Cray.

Satoshi shook his head, trying to escape his own thoughts. What the hell was happening? Why did he feel so cold all of a sudden? Why did it feel like his guardian wasn't telling him the whole truth?

He quickly looked through his phone to make sure no messages were sent. Luckily, that hadn't happened. He felt like he should tell somebody about this, but then the phrase reappeared in his mind.

"Lock away my problems..." Weird. It didn't fit what he normally did, but was it really Satoshi's place to trouble other people with his life? Not really. He turned off his phone and laid back. He'd have to get some repairs done, so that was unfortunate. But at the same time...something felt liberating about not having to tell others about this. Not having to think about Cray, either, because Fortuna had it covered...

Yeah. Maybe things were going to be alright.

Satoshi had spent most of his day sleeping. Camping with the Cardfight Club had been pretty successful. He saw a bright future for a lot of those teens. Maybe they'd do something with Cray on top of whatever it is they planned to do when they graduated.

Anything was better than being some home-schooled country hick turned articulate advertisement figure. Who just so happened to be "marked" for something coming.

In his head, a strange dream began to form...

---

A completely white space. Devoid of any sort of indication of being a real background of any kind. It was here that Satoshi stood across from someone who looked a lot like him.

Well, if you qualified "a lot like him" with being female. And wearing a hoodie and jeans like some kind of street rat. Otherwise, pretty much the same.

"Who exactly are you?" he asked. This girl felt familiar, even if it was a genderbend of himself for some reason.

The girl ran a hand through her own messy hair, pushing back the hood to do so. She chuckled a bit. "I'll give you a huge hint." She then proceeded to mock a booming voice. "'Lock away your troubles, Kurosaki.'" She started to laugh after repeating that phrase a few more times so he got the point.

"...So you're the presence that's been stuck with me and has me 'marked.'" Satoshi stood his ground like he was going to actually get in a fight with this girl, but she shook her head.

"Don't waste your time. This is all goin' on in your head, just like every time I used a voice modifier to make myself sound ominous and booming." She walked over to him, extending a hand. "They call me Cheru. It's a pleasure to get to interact with you, face to face, Satoshi Kurosaki."

"Cheru?..." Satoshi didn't know anyone named Cheru, but then again, the number of people interfacing with beings of ominous power was slim to none. Sure, there was Haruka with Sera, but Sera seemed a lot more protective than this Cheru did. "So that must mean you're..."

"The force responsible for makin' you go nuts and see that black 'n' red ring an' all that? You could say that, I guess." She patted his shoulder. "I'm also a pretty darn good advice-giver if I do say so myself. Wouldn't you agree?" She gave him a hug as though they were family. "After all, you got to only tellin' those who really give a damn about you as to what's goin' on. And all of 'em responded exactly like you thought they would, didn't you?"

Satoshi stared a bit. Yukino and Haruka...didn't exactly give him overwhelming confidence they were that concerned. Haruka especially didn't seem to care at all. Yukino did, but in a more robotic manner that being Yugure put forth. It was her responsibility as an entity, not as his friend, to have that concern. It was like he wasn't that special except for his blight. All last year, even...

Cheru grinned. She knew what her thrall was thinking about. "It really isn't fair at all, isn't it? But it's okay." She patted his back this time. "That's why I'm here. T'help you out a bit." She backed up and shrugged. "Well, soon, anyway."

Satoshi shook his head, refocusing. "What is it that you're after with all of this? Why me? Why not anyone else?"

The femclone laughed again. "Wait, wait, wait. Lemme try to clear a few things up." She started counting off on her fingers. "First off, I'm here because I'm doin' my faction a duty. I'm waitin' for orders from my head honcho to let loose some crazy, crazy stuff. But he still ain't comin' around for a little while longer." She bumped up another finger. "Secondly, it's 'cause you were an easy target."

"An easy target?"

"Yeah." Cheru put her hands behind her head, as if she were going to suddenly lay back for a moment. "Think about that time you first met Neu Edelweiss at those ruins on Cray. That dragon thing you saw. Of the people there, the ones stressin' over gainin' or losin' clans...you were the one least occupied at the time." She sniffed. "T'was a pretty good time to get into you. You've grown into such a handsome thing."

A sweatdrop formed behind Satoshi's head. "T...thank you?..." He wasn't sure he should be accepting complements from a being inside of him, but it's not like she was wrong, necessarily. He had most certainly grown up more in a year than he had expected. Perhaps that was partially what she was getting at.

"So, anyway...to answer your third point, you might be a little surprised." She snapped her fingers, and a black and red gyroscope figure appeared, floating above her palm and rotating endlessly. "We've been a bit busy, our gang, spreadin' the 'Word of the Ring' or whatever you wanna call it. People have been seein' it and wonderin' what it means. Chosen Sword's runnin' about all frantic tryin' to prepare humanity for it." Her grin reformed, but this time, it was a bit more sinister. "You might say it's all goin' exactly accordin' to plan."

Satoshi's look hardened. "So...humanity is supposed to be prepared?"

"Well, actually, they're gonna be prepared for somethin' a little less subtle than what we got in mind, but yeah. They're supposed to be prepared for somethin'. So that we defy their expectations and catch 'em completely off-guard." She let her toothy grin settle back to a smile. "She's gonna have 'em all ready for some dark forces, but is she really going to have 'em ready to fight their own hearts, as well?"

"Their own...hearts?..."

"Yeah. I dunno if you picked up on it yet, but..." She flung the black ring gyro at him and it collided with his heart. "The goal's to play with y'all's hearts." She winked at him as he cringed at the feeling for a bit. "But I like you, so I'm not exactly about t'just force you into it." Cheru's look then changed to something more menacing. "As long as you behave for now, of course."

Right. Satoshi was just about to ask what was stopping him from telling Yukino about this. And others, for that matter. "So I'm guessing if I went forward with any information..." he mused, still clutching his chest a bit.

"I'd make you go nuts and likely snap a few necks, like you could've done while you were on a rampage in your house before, yes." Cheru was very confident that he wouldn't do anything that risky, and she was right to think so. He couldn't bear the responsibility, especially when he had no control over himself...

"Alright, fine." Satoshi crossed his arms. "Just promise me that when this all happens...you're not going to put me into raw danger."

"Nah, don't worry about it." Cheru gave a dismissing wave. "You're a champion, and you're about to be one of the champions of this movement, too. Sorry I can't exactly let you have a say in what side you're on, of course, but...hey, at least people'll be able to help you out, right?" She winked again as she waved. "I'm gonna go back to plottin'. Don't be a stranger."

---

Satoshi woke up suddenly, feeling a searing pain on his left hand. When he looked over...

He had a mark on his hand. One of two black rings with red outlines, crossed over each other like a gyroscope. So this was the literal "being marked..."

Darren had to go through the Rijuku Residential Area in order to reach home. He sighed lightly as he said, "I probably could have stayed a bit longer, but..." He was speaking out loud even though no one was there. I guess there's still something that's bothering me. Maybe I'm anxious. It explains why I have so much energy... but what am I suppose to do about a feeling like this? His deck was clutched tightly in his hands as he thought this through.

Darren blinked as he felt a strange chill. He turned and he saw Neo. He blinked slightly and said, "Is that... Neo from the Camping Trip?" He wasn't at an angle to see the door, wondering what Neo was doing there to begin with. "Hey, is that you, Neo?!" he called out. His eyes then went wide as he seemed to disappear. "Am I... seeing things?" After being teleported to the top of a mountain once before, he believed it possible that there was something special to this.

Sky layed in his bed staring at his alrm clock, it had been 2 weeks since he lost Stern and he had been depressed ever since Tsubasa's words about losing units rang in his head once again, but Sky didn't understand. Cards don't just disappear it's not possible, then again neither is having said cards prophecy to you. Sky groaned and turned over he would have to go to work tomorrow he was told by the principal if he didn't show up he'd be fired. It was not his janitorial duties that Sky did not want to do it was his duties as a club advisor, Sky wasn't allowed to back out of it since he fought so hard and hassled the old advisor to get the position. Since that day Sky had not even taken his deck out once, but it looked like tomorrow he might not have a choice.

The night had technically just begun but for Tsubasa it was just an endless darkness that he would go to check for today, he was told that fireworks were mean't to be fired, in a view that is close to his apartment. A lot of people were there watching with their loved ones, but in his case Neu had not replied to his text, so he assumed she was asleep. That aside he needed a moment to relax from what has been brewing within this place...he would have preferred to spend it with Neu though.

"..I know I should ask her to come here but...she needs her rest.." he thought, taking out the small box from his back-pocket."This would have been the perfect time..."

The fireworks were going to begin soon so Tsubasa stood near his apartment awaiting for the show to start, as he glanced on his right and left and saw several couples and friends standing or sitting in wait for the show.

She got a text earlier about coming here, but she decided to reply to it later, but accidentally ended up ignoring it due to her desire to hava bubble bath. After that, she saw Tsubasa all alone here and decided to join him. In short, she feels like she popped in here uninvited even thought it was the exact opposite. Having just finished her bath, her hair was still kind of wet and a mess, but that was no problem with a little bit of divine intervention.

"Hi there. What's up with all these weirdos here?" She looked around at the couples. "Huh, what is it tonight, mating season. Dang you tryna be bold?"

Neu's sudden appearance shocked Tsubasa to say the least but his expression showed otherwise, he was generally happy to see her come so conveniently that he did not question any of it, instead he ran up and hugged her tightly, the box still in hand.

"You're here!" he said, his facial expression showing a genuine smile.

As he let go of her, he immediately noticed the box still being in his hand so he tried to instantly hide it, before she noticed as he began to explain to her the situation.

"..There are going to be some fireworks happening tonight, and yea haha most people here came with their mates and their friends to watch it happen." he said.

At her last remark he took her hand and found himself unwillingly saying,"Haha..I would only be bold with you, if you want me to." with a smile on his face.

"After this then sure." She shrugged.

"Anyways fireworks seem romantic and all I guess so that's cool." She looked up into the sky, knowing all of the events that had transpired on this day and that she would have to return to New York soon and make sure that things were going well there. If not, well, she would just have to fight. The whole situation with the invaders that for her started with the PSY Shop workers have been going from bad to worse. At the time she was able to treat it as a joke, but any further would make it a harm for Vanguard and she just couldn't have that.

Tsubasa felt like he was being too forward, but he felt like it was ok at some point, nevertheless he began to notice her dozing off into the sky, in a way she reminded him of himself in that regard. He also would stare at the sky thinking about his problem, especially on the scale of this one.

"..Hey you ok?" he said, tightening his grasp on her hand slightly.

"If there's something on your mind, we can talk about it Neu...i'll be honest I feel like you are worrying about the same thing i'm thinking about right now.." he said, as he began to look at the sky himself.

"I'm fine."

She looked up at the sky, anticipating the fireworks to already come, but whoever was planning to shoot them up was taking their time. "So really, was it just fireworks that you stood here for or?.." Neu scratched her head.

"I wanted some time to think...about the events that are transpiring at the Vanguard world to be honest, with this...power returning again...I know I have to fight but...I don't want to lose those I care about." he said, grasp losing force gradually.

He did not waver from his to help her like he promised, but rather he felt worried and filled with concern over her safety, sure she is the messiah but...she's the one he loves.

Just then as the fireworks began, and the two began watching as the several designs began illuminating the sky in their flash and beauty, as he slowly stared back at her, without a making any noise or movement he took out the box from his back pocket, and revealed the necklace he had gotten her.

Quietly, quietly, night's curtain is cut down

He stepped behind her, and slowly used his hands to make her wear the necklace, "..Listen..I know a lot of struggles are ahead, but we have overcome so much together, I will be here for you Neu like I promised.." he said, as he removed his hands and revealed the necklace, fixated on her neck, it's blue shine radiating with the fireworks.

A blue flame at the dawn of awakening

"I love you Neu..I promise I will stay with you as we get through whatever is ahead."

"Huh.. thanks..." She blushed a little, looking down at the gift, holding onto the bluish pendant.

As the fireworks shot up, waves of grief started to crash onto her subconscious mind signaling that her happy times would come to an end. Every passing moment, was something she wanted to cherish now with her beloved, but now she had to go and fulfill her duty. The longer she waited, the worse the feeling got until eventually the voices of those whom suffered called out to her and she had to make her move. Among the voices were her parents and old friends, which she never considered to be such people to her in that way. Nonetheless, tears started to stream down her face because due to the nature of circumstances, the enemy has gone too far for her to make a joke of this or to act carefree as she had. She now had to fulfill her duty.

"We'll overcome them together." She leaned onto him and kissed him. Sadly they wouldn't be able to spend another night together, not for awhile. Not even another day that passes by would be spent with Tsubasa, not even another moment after this one, but surely they would be together. She had to make sure of it.

She grabbed his hand placed a spell, giving him her "blessing" as one of those who overlooked the world, to keep him safe and leave him with her presence, even though she would be gone... gone? Her home calls.

As the fireworks shot up, she stepped back with each remaining flash. "Let's protect the world of Vanguard together."

Pop.

"Well... I guess at the end of the road, I'll find a foe that I'll find worth giving my all for."

Pop.

"I'll see you after all this is done.. but for now I have to go protect what I must."

Pop.

"You do that as well okay?"

Pop.

"I love y-"

Pop.

She was gone.

The sadness of the upcoming events and how both would have to be separated in order to deal with it, really hit hard with both of them. Tsubasa knew that she had her duties back home, and he had his own here, just like he promised her.

At the sight of her crying he immediately used his fingers to wipe her tears, trying to let her know that everything will be ok,"Don't cry, we can get through this together."

As they both kissed Tsubasa gave her all his emotions through it, as he pulled her closer to him. She then grabbed his hand in a simple way as he entertained his fingers with hers, but he could feel something else aside from her warmth,"..What is..."

As she started to walk away Tsubasa began to tear up as well, something he had hardly done before,"..I will I promise!" As Neu disappeared the show had come to a close, and with that Tsubasa began his stroll to his apartment,"I will see you again, because we truly are never apart.."

Why isn't he picking up? He usually has his phone with him...

Noel is starting to get worried. Something doesn't feel right at all. None of her friends are around and hardly any of them would pick up their phone. I hope they are alright...

She couldn't shake this terrible feeling that something big is going to happen and it wasn't going to be a good thing. That is why she quickly started walking out of the park and headed towards the residential area. Noel wanted to find her brother and see what is going on. Nothing today seems right, streets are empty and the feeling of being watched was at an all time high. If I can't get a hold of Seifer on the phone, best thing to do is check to see if he is home. He should know what is going on right now!

Then she started running to Seifer's house so she can hurry and see what is happening

A young man looking to be in rough shape slowly made his way towards one of the residential homes. His clothes were a mess in combination with his disheveled hair and grimey face, looking as if having been through some odd survival journey. A camping bag was trapped over his back, with his deck case resting on the side of his belt, and his face holding a look of fear.

He was sweating bullets, and that was for one reason truth be told. His mother, one would expect him to have been happy to be home but the storm that awaited him was one of legends. He made a silent prayer as he knocked on the door of the home and proceeded to enter, peering meekly as he silently made his way through.

Fast forward two hours later, an emotionally defeated yet clean Alex lay on the living room couch. Maybe the nickname "your mom" was fitting in this situation, but it was for this very reason that he had abandoned school and daily life for a few weeks, training to defeat the idol! He would reclaim his pride! Or what was left of it.

Blinked, his phone buzzing randomly causing him a bit of surprise though he was happy to see who it was from. Of course his mood had soured a bit after reading the message itself.

"Yeah no problemo, I'll be on my way. You okay? :c" he typed before hastily dressing himself and heading out
He'd deal with his mother's rage some other time as he rushed to the hospital.

After the events of the day before, Darren asked the driver to take him home. After given the address within the Rijiku Residental Area it was a quick drive there. That didn't stop Darren from finally passing out as soon as he was comfortable enough to do so. When he woke up, he was in his bed. Likely his Aunt brought him there. Its a good thing she didn't have time to question what he was doing the whole time.

Now Darren was outside the Residential Area, thinking about the next thing he should do.

You could always see what Hans's sister wants. Its pretty rude to keep a lady waiting.

"Every time I go to the Training Area, its Reversed or in danger of being Reversed. If that's where I need to be now, someone can text me.

Fair enough... What about Noel. Didn't she go to look for Seifer and Rosalia? You never really heard from her after that.

"Oh nuts! You're right!"

Not enough purified souls... there is still a lot of weak trash here to clean up...

Noel, after Reversing what was left of the shopping district and park along with leaving Khudus to fight the other Reversed fighters until he drops and becomes one of them, was now at the park. There were a few fighters hiding here after seeing the chaos that was happening.

"Come out, come out wherever you are... I just want to talk~" She sounded like a little kid playing hide and seek, giggling like a sadist psychopath, skipping around down the street.

Returning to his home the young man limped on his way there, walking as if half-alive, wondering if all this chaos could ever end, whether he had the strength to do anything about it. He was not in fact in pain, he could take a throw to a building, he was merely tired of feeling weak, he wanted to be sure that he won't lose those he cared about, it was only when his opponents threatened him that he knew how much he had to get stronger.

"...Just...Tch..why..even after growing with the Liberators...even after all the fights I have been a part of I cannot say with certainty that I can do this...Haruto...Neu..my friends.....have I really not grown stronger..?" he said, as he continued walking the images of his friends disappearing in front of him. "..No..COME BACK!" he shouted, only to realize that he was alone walking near the houses, causing him to collapse feeling worried.

He stayed there, his face facing the ground for a good while, until he felt a hand tap his shoulder, "Don't you think that you'd be better off doing this in your own apartment." said Fei, showing him his phone signifying that he got his message.

Tsubasa rose from the ground and took Fei into his apartment, "..Did you bring them?" he asked. "..Yea I did, though I still don't understand why you wanted this coat."

"..It used to be for my father, Ray used it to hide Haruto from the flames that night...but your mother did a great job fixing it up a bit...so i appreciate it." he said, taking the coat from his hand and spreading it out revealing the torn edges and jet black colour.

"..You called me here just for a coat, and this speech?"he asked. To that question Tsubasa immediately took off his jacket and put on the coat, it's size and look completely covering all his other clothing aside from his shoes, "..Starting now I need you to keep an eye on Haruto a bit more than before...he must not know what I am planning nor should he come into contact with anyone else right now this world is at war.." he said, as opened a drawer that contained a mask and a voice changer, the mask had a somewhat neutral red smile engraved upon it, along with a volt sign on the right eye. He attached the voice changer to the mask and put the mask on the side, making sure that Fei did not get a good look at the mask itself.

"..I will take care of him...but what are you gonna do..what is this all about..?"he asked, his face showing signs of concern. "...It does not matter, Fei, I entrust Haruto to you for the time being, don't let me down,...now leave." he said, his voice sounding more stern than usual.

Fei realized that Tsubasa was more serious than ever this time around so he slowly began leaving the house, "..Be careful, you know who to come to if you need to anything. he said, as he left apartment locking the door behind him.

"......................"

"..So you finally understand the path you must take, in order to protect your own." said a voice that emanated from his bag.

"..Hm?" he thought, as he approached the bag that radiated in purple black energy. "..The deckcase...it's opening."

"..We are ready to swing our blades in your name, my Vanguard." said the voice of Blaster Dark Revenger, as his gaze met with Tsubasa's.

Tsubasa then immediately grabbed all his things and attached his decks under his coat as he left the apartment with an extreme level of speed, as the door slammed shut and the lights turned off.

The young man had disappeared, maybe not in the eyes of his friends just yet, but quickly enough as the darkness searched for him without success. Now above the apartment building stood a cloaked figure with a mask attached to his face, his deck emanating a purple black aura that seemed to surround his figure, as the ends of his coat fluttered in the wind, ""To prevent the destruction of the world, I shall become it's Shadow...I will soar through the evil and protect those who require it." as the masked individual said that the Mordred Phantom card in his hand began to emanate a dark power creating 4 cards that were added to his deck Revenger, Dragruler Phantom

"...Now let's end this invasion, I am Diablo Falcon!" said the cloaked figure as lighting blazed through the skies, and with that the figure had disappeared, basically leaving the residential area in no more than seconds to fulfill his goals.

Returning to his apartment the falcon took off his mask and trench as he laid down his bed, taking out his phone as he began to browse through it.

"...Diablo's assault seems to have done a lot for the first day...but the result tday.....was this really what we were aiming for..." he thought.

He found that he had 2 messages left for him, one from Alex whom he had not met for so long, bringing a smile to his face. And the other from his important friend Neo...he wanted to settle things.

"Just make sure you keep urself safe, the events that took place there were too much to discuss, I'd rather everyone be safe than fall prey to this invasion."  sent to Alex.

"I understand....I'll be there." sent to Neo.

The young man got off his bed and put on Diablo's coat, the coat had given him a sense of protection or elevation above his current self, it did belong to his father after all, "Looks like your time comes faster than usual Diab-" for some reason Tsubasa's words were halted as he reached for the mask. A voice in his head kept telling him, tthat this battle is not Diablo's It's mean't for Tsubasa.

He left the apartment building, unzipped the coat to change his appearance slightly, but began running without a mask, speeding through so many areas just to reach his goal, Diablo's abilities had not left him this evening, in the meantime he pulled out his phone and sent a message to Yukino.

"You told me that our reason for fighting was to survive, today that was not the case...we took so many casualties, including innocent civilians, we cannot continue like this lest we risk the world in our efforts."

There was talk along the Residential Area, spreading all the way across the towns and states of a large young man who quickly gained popularity and support. Of course, many who spoke of this in this area were reversed puppets as well. Despite that, the they followed him. "His army had grown large, and his power had grown tremendously," many would say. They spoke of him as a legend, wondering what his next act was. Nothing of praises could be heard of him, they even talked about his promises of leading the country and the world into the right direction. His story was inspiration, rags to riches, his goal accomplished through his hard work.

Within the Kantei, he sat upon a black throne leather throne. An office chair, much more light, less primitive than his old one made of stone. He now had a wooden table, and his initial servants and close friends now had more official names such as "Minister of Justice," "Secretary," and "Minister of Defense." A grin on his face lay as he integrated the power of the invaders along with the law of the land.

Daisuke Oshiro, the new Prime Minister of Japan.

The time of day had not been as late as expected, after the events of last night Tsubasa spent most of the day sleeping and thinking. He could not wrap his mind on which persona he should assimilate for the rest of this war.

"..Which side should take over." he thought, almost feeling like he was going insane, but he knew that Diablo was necessary for these moments.

To his surprise his phone buzzed but this time it was from someone he had missed for so long...it was Neu, she had not been gone for too long, but such is the concept of time when one is in love. "Welcome back my Love, glad you came back safely."

Before he could think about sending another text, his TV started giving reports about criminal activity, involving cards. "..Huh..."

He turned on the volume and watched the broadcast, noticing the person that this general was referring to, Aoi, Diablo's first target. He threatened to harm the town each hour that passes while Aoi remains missing would be costly, his little stunt with the flames definitely sent a chill down his spine.

"...Dammit, I did not secure him, he's probably long gone now..." he said, as he immediately put on the coat and mask.

"I have to catch him before things escalate!" shouted Diablo, as left his apartment and raced to find the general.

Arriving home, the exhausted falcon took off his clothing and mask and laid down at his bed for a bit after taking a shower and drinking some tea. Everything about today tired him out so he opted to get some rest bit he could not do that before checking up on Haruto, he got off his bed ND went to use the home phone that was installed at the apartment. He dialed the number belonging to Fei's mom who was watching over Haruto for the time being and began asking her about him when she picked up.

"Hey Auntie, just wanted to call and see how Haruto was doing, if I could speak to him that would also be great. "
"-weeping--weeping- Oh Tsu, i'm so sorry -weeping-"
"..Auntie what's wrong? What happened?"
"-wipes tears- I went out to get some laundry, Haruto was still asleep inside, but when I got back he was gone, neither you nor Fei were reachable I don't know what to do..."
"................No....listen to me Auntie I'll handle this I'll talk to you soon rest assured."

This news definitely had it's effect on Tsubasa, he was physically tired out and now mentally destroyed by the news.

"AAAHHH" eclaimed Tsubasa as he gripped the area near his heart, it felt as if a storm was happening there, a storm that weakened his body with every beat.

"..I have...to save him...Diablo...help...me" he said, as he fell to his knees, that was when he saw it, an image of Haruto...Reversed.

"Haruto...HARUTO!!!!!!!" were his last words as he fainted to the ground, his body trying to heal from all the pain it went through today, though it was clear that Tsubasa was gonna spend the night on the floor rather than a bed. Tat was when something interesting happened he could barely feel his body bring carried as he was placed gently on his bed.

"Rest up our Vanguard."
