A good place for fun under the sun.

Field Status
There's a beach volleyball game going on.
The waves are crashing along the shore, a relatively fair size.
Nice boat.

What is a field?
A field is an area where events between characters or even individual characters may happen. As replies to these posts, characters may chronicle events that transpire between each other which would often be as a result of or due to a Cardfight. Field events are great ways to develop characters as well as character relationships. Field events, for example, could include a Cardfight as part of a rivalry between two individuals. It can be something as simple as a simple outing or meeting that then leads to a game of Vanguard. Or something that would greatly move the plot, a fight between someone of the heroic affinity and someone of the villainous affinity.

Remember, Cray is looking for the best of the best to be a leader. This does not mean that the leader has to be filled with good intentions, its anyone who the cards seem to decide is fit. Heroes can do as much as they can, but without villains pushing the story forward with their schemes, there isn't much to save. So if you are on the villainous side, use these areas to move along with your plots and schemes. You may ask others to come and roleplay with you and anyone can post in these areas, there is no limit other than that of being logical and simply just being respectful to your fellow fighters.

Any character that you interact with during field events may get affinity +1 or -1 with you.
Certain fields may have special events and things happening there in order to start up some action.

Post events that transpire below based on you character's own perspective, and just have fun with it!
Good luck!

"What a nice, warm, day it is toady," Hazama says to himself. He takes of his backpack filled with stuff from home that might be useful. He takes out his towel, which has the Cardfight Vanguard!! logo smack dab in the middle, and lays it down on the flat sandy beach. He takes of his shirt revealing a nice body shape, but not quite a six-pack yet. He pops out his sunscreen, puts some on, and lays down right on his towel.

"How perfect. It's just me, the birds, the waves, and no annoying people." He then brings out his phone, puts headphones in, and starts listening to music like Diplo, Waka Flocka Flame, Fetty Wap, Silento, and more. He then closes his eyes and starts to relax.

After spending the night cardfighting in the Umano Underground Slums Kaze thinks to himself "Today seems like a nice day I might just go spend my day at beach and head to the card shop later when I'm well rested." On his way to the beach Kaze started thinking back to last night about the underground fights. -sigh- "Its a shame I didn't run into anyone that may have known me."

-Kaze has arrived at the beach-

Kaze dazes at the ocean as it sparkles in the sunlight. "Wow this was a good idea." Kaze states to himself out loud. Looking across the beach he doesn't see many people there, but then again its still pretty early in the day. He then proceeds to claim a spot on the beach to relax. Kaze gets into beach outfit (current state: six-pack, blue & white swim trunks, and necklace) then proceeds to lie down on towel.

"That will do, about an hour and a half of tanning." Hazama gets up, still music playing in his headphones, brushes off his towel and puts it in his bag. He walks down the beach a little ways, seeing a lot more people than this morning. Then Hazama stubbles across a guy in blue and whit swim trunks, a necklace, and a "six pack".

Man this guy must have not put on enough sunscreen. Lol

He decides to tell the man. "Um, excuse me sir, but I hope you should know that your about as red as a really ripe apple. And it looks kinda ridiculous, might wanna get a spray tan to cover that up," he says to the badly sunburnt guy.

yuzuki went to the beach and thought i saw i said "is that kaze in the distance?" i ran up to him and thought "is this fate or do i get my second chance to cardfight him?" i asked him "do u have your deck on you?"

As Kaze is relaxing he hears a voice talking to him; "Um, excuse me sir, but I hope you should know that your about as red as a really ripe apple. And it looks kinda ridiculous, might wanna get a spray tan to cover that up."  Kaze then replies with his eyes closes "One its not as ridiculous as you incoming six-pack and second if you think I'm sun burned i can assure you I'm not its just this tanning oil, when I in the water it will me complete."

Then suddenly Kaze hears a familiar voice. "Oh Yuzuki its you; yeah I always have my deck on me." Kaze states showing his deck box to cover the sun from beaming in his eyes.

"Whatever u say. Oh and by the way the six pack looks like plastic." Hazama then sees another guy wishing to challenge this arrogant brat guy over here. "Well this will be interesting. Show me what you got, Kaze, agaist this guy over here, then maybe Ill take my words back."

he gets he deck out and says " i challenge u to a cardfight ive gotten stronger and ill show it to u"
Kaze replys -sigh- "Alright fine." Kaze gets up and goes in the water to rinse off the tanning oil, then uses towel to dry off. "So much for relaxing after last night." Kaze thought to himself. Then looks at the blonde haired guy "Your just jealous mine actually exist, but whatever floats your boat."

Both Kaze and Yuzuki both place their starter and shuffle their decks then proceed to draw opening hand. "Lets get started shall we."

Kaze: Stand up, The Vanguard
Yuzuki: Stand up, My Vanguard
-fight begins-

By checking the forecast today, Makuto decided it was a good day to visit the beach and have fun. Seeing the waves crashing, kids playing on the sand and a nice boat, warmed Makuto's heart. He then decided to dive inside the water and just chill in there for a while.

After a long swim, he then decided to spectate the Volleyball games, as he was really interested in Volleyball and how it works. He grabbed a cold drink and sat on a stone as the Volleyball game started.

Ighanna's car arrives at the carpark adjacent to the beach, it was extremely packed with people flooding in for the festival, totally opposite from what the people told me in the morning. Soon Ighanna walked out of the car and invited Hana out as she jumps in the bright sunlight and takes out her fashionable sunglasses. Wearing brand name Emilio Pucci clothing, she sprints towards the "Summer Festival" stage with her Chanel slippers acting like ninja sandals.

"Summer Festival!" the sign said. As soon as Ighanna enters the festival, she saw many people dressed in swimming costumes getting ready for the festival. Colorful stores align parallel to the shoreline and at the end of it, a extremely large stage, the "Summerfest Stage" which is a highly renowned place where every performer dreams to perform at. During her walk she received many different pamphlet, one was a map of the street meanwhile another is the performance and timings. Apparently a famed acrobat, "Dalis Strophia" is scheduled to perform later too! Other fellows include Nicki Minaj who I can see performing her signature "Starships" as it is at the actual beach now, 5SOS (Five Seconds of Summer) because it can't be Summerfest without them, Rihanna, Drake, Ighanna who is nervous performing with such famed artists and Ariana Grande who was invited by Nicki to perform "Bang Bang" however Jessie J is in London so Ighanna is actually replacing her.

The weather was a tad humid and hot however the sky is clearer than a diamond, hopefully meaning it wouldn't rain. Even if it did, the famous Rihanna would either make the sky "Shine bright like a diamond" or make everyone stand under their "Umbrellas". With such a tophit Ighanna was confident everyone brought umbrellas ready for her song.

Soon people began flooded in and it was more crowded than ever. Their were people everywhere, queueing for stalls, pushing in to get the best standing (because theres no seats) position for the concert. Ighanna was glad she came here today as it is gonna be a once-in-a-life time event for her career. She would never be able to experience this in the ever so gloomy London.

Suddenly the speaker bursted out "Concert is about to star briefly" and following that outbursts of screams shattered her eardrums. Waves of people advanced forward like a tsunami to head to the stage and Ighanna, in disguise, was one of them. She was totally late from exploring everything. However the human traffic jam seemed pretty bad. She started to feel more and more nervous as her heart beats faster. There were quite a lot of performances before her so she wanted to find something to do to calm her down before the actual performance.

Hana excitedly jumped out Ighanna's car and thanked chauffeur-san,

They both had returned to her house to picked up some beach clothing from her house. Hana was wearing a big white straw hat with a blue ribbon tied around it giving it a trim. She had wore brown sandals and and a white tank top along with white and blue striped shorts. She had her bag with her that had her spare clothing along with her other accessories as well as her Vanguard deck.

She hurried backstage as Ighanna announced the beginning of the concert. From there she heard the loud roar of the crowd, hurrying and fighting for the spots closer to the stage. She giggled a little as we both happy and excited. She heard a voice coming from one of the nearby dressing rooms and decided to check up on one of the fellow performers.

"Are you alright?" She asked with some concern in her voice. It was clear that the voice belonged to a man, he simply just kept crying. She wondered why and was hoping to get the answer from him. "I went YOLO in my last Vanguard game, but then I got all six damage after that turn... started from the bottom now I'm here... " he said, sniffling and wiping his tears. A tall man in a black tuxedo and a box of tissues came up behind Hana and explained, "Don't mind, Drake, he's the kinda guy to look at a heal trigger and say, "you can't mend my broken heart...."

Hana nodded and went back to check on Ighanna.

Ighanna's first performance, the opening of the Summerfest was "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. With Jessie absent in London, Ighanna was to replace her in this challenging billboard top chart hit.

"She got a body like an hourglass but I can give it to you all the time, she got a booty like a cadillac but I can send you into overdrive" sings Ighanna as she enters the stage and the crowd's cheer roared across the ocean.

"You've been waiting for that, step on up swing your bat, see anybody could be bad to you, you need a good girl to blow your mind, yeah" bursts out from the speakers as the backup singers sing.

"BANG BANG into the room" she sings as the the mic faces the audience and they shout back "I know ya want it"
"BANG BANG all over you" same thing happens. "I'll let ya have it"
"Wait a minute lemme take you there ahhh...Wait a minute till ya ahhh" she sings again.
"BANG BANG there goes your heart" as they reply "I know ya want it", "BACK BACK seat of my car, I'll let ya have it"
"Wait a minute lemme take you there ahhh...Wait a minute till ya ahhh"

After that Ariana Grande appears from behind the crowd and walks through the clearly separated pathway singing her part starting with "She might've let you hold your hand in school, but I'm a show you how to graduate" and joins Ighanna on stage to sing the chorus as the crowd cheers yet again upon a celebrity's arrival.

Following that the long anticipated Queen Nicki appears from under the stage and elevates up in the center as she spits her beat and the crowd scream in joy.
"It's Myx Moscato, It's friends in the bottle, It's Nicki full throttle, It's all, all"
"Swimming in the grotto, We winning in the lotto, We dipping in the pot of blue photo"
"Kidding so good, This drippin' on wood, Get a ride in the engine that could go"
"Batman Robin it bang, bang, cocking it, Queen Nicki dominate, prominate" and she finishes off the rap before all three of us join in for the ending of the song with Ariana using her whistle register along with melisma in order to harmonize after the song ends. Ighanna was very relieved as the crowd clapped and cheered, she quickly exits the stage with Nicki and Ariana as timing is crucial for such a tight scheduled concert. Up next is a famed acrobat which Ighanna is looking forward to spectate, Dalis Strophia!

As Kaze packs up his cards he sees Yuzuki drop to the flow in a shameful way. "Hey get up there are people around you shouldn't display yourself like that." Kaze put his cards back in the deck box and puts them in the pocket of his trunks. He then packs up Yuzki's cards then hands them to him in his hands. "Just because you've lose doesn't mean to give up all hope but to rise you and continue towards your goal. So get up and go back to training until your satisfied." Kaze then packs up his beach items to leave the beach and changes back into his regular outfit putting the.

As Kaze is making his exit he looks to the sky and thinks to himself "I hope Yuzuki figures out what he wants to do as well as I need to find out what my identity is." -sigh-

Kaze exits the beach

Itou goes to the beach after his fight with Haruka, after all the inner-searching and sho-searching he seems to like the change of pace, when he gets there a huge crowd and stage is in sight, perhaps a show? Itou gets closer to see what it is

"that woman...where did i see her...?"

he decides to watch the show from up close to see if it's good
Title: Re: (GS3) Field: Beach

Haruka finally makes his way to the beach. He was a bit self-conscious about the burns on his chest and neck, so he just wore a tank top and board shorts, still equipped with his checkered scarf.

A concert is playing near the end of the docks. "Oh right, today's the summer festival, isn't it?" Haruka scratches his head in confusion at forgetting the date. He runs over to the concert and checks out what's going on.

"I-Is that the one lady from the car?" His eyes widen in awe. "What even-" Haruka starts to walk through the crowd to the front and gets decently close to the stage. He cranes his neck upwards and watches the spectacle.

Their number ends after a couple of minutes. Despite not knowing any of the lyrics or the artists particularly, Haruka claps and cheers. He was very impressed with the number and felt the performers were definitely great. Haruka walks over to the edge of the festival side and took a seat with his bag. The only things inside were his Vanguard deck, a beach towel and a purple, orange and lime green volleyball.

Are you enjoying yourself?

"Y-Yeah I guess so." Haruka answered a little solemnly. "It's just a little lonely I guess?"

Haru, you made yourself alone. You could have waited for Itou. You also could have went and played Volleyball with people. You didn't have to run off by yourself.

"Stop being right, like, all the time." Haruka said, somewhat annoyed. Haruka lays against the fence in front of a few stalls by the stage.

Hey Mii-Hime, come over to the beach! There's a summer festival today!!!

Hana closed her flip phone shut after texting Miyuki the message. She was smiling, enjoying herself in the event, filled with music and entertainers which she loved. She was a big fan of Dalis Strophia, the next performer whom was also a Vanguard fighter, a player of the Pale Moon clan. Speaking of nice moons, Hana spotted Nicki Minaj off the corner of her eye and...

[Fangirls internally]

Miyuki made her way to the beach, wondering what was going on. She had heard from Hana-chan that there was a summer festival on, but she wasn't sure exactly what would happen there.

After a bit of walking, she was at the beach. She looked around and noticed a few things that caught her interest. One was what seemed to be a volleyball game happening. For a second she wondered if Hana had called her out here to play volleyball, which she found slightly odd. After looking around a bit more however, she noticed a large stage near the docks. It had a sign saying 'Summer Festival' on it.

'This must be what Hana invited me out for'. She walked over there, and scanned the crowd, looking to see if she could find Hana.

Shiki made his way towards the beach, a place he'd previously ignore because water wasn't exactly his piece of cake, and the only kind of people he'd always find there are muscular males with boxers - something he wasn't interested in completely.

This time however, he wanted to know what all this commotion was about, and what he saw made him very happy. Sure, he didn't like noise but it was a summer festival, full of people wasting their time on nothing.. and most important of it all, girls in bikini. Needless to say, he didn't think even for a second before joining this large gathering, he didn't care much for the celebrities but what he did care about was all the girls around there wearing revealing clothing.

Itou is having problems shoving the crowd away to get closer, and there he bumps into Miyuki (he doesn't know her name)

"oops i'm sorry, i was trying to get closer"

After saying that he realizes his cards fell off, he lays down to try to get them in the middle of the crowd

Dalis giggled, clapping at the musicians as they walked backstage. Taking a deep breath, she walked onto the stage, smiling appreciatively at the hoots and cheers. She raised her hands, hips shaking to the beat of the music, a practiced motion she had grown quite used to.

"Let's have a good time!" She shouted into the microphone, launching herself into her act of twirls, twists and turns, bends and jumps. She done splits, jumps and somersaults, double fulls to triple fulls. Dalis spun, losing herself in the rhythm pumping through her veins. A double pike, double layout half in, half out. Whatever came to mind. As the song neared its end, her moves rocked with enthusiasm, ending in a double somersault as she twirled her ribbon around her, striking a pose at the final beat. To the sound of rocking applause, she walked backstage, collapsing onto a chair in a sweaty mess.

After the performance by Dalis, Hana excitedly texted Miyuki.

Mii-hime just try to go backstage I'll clear things up there so you can get in! omg lollolol DALIS WAS AMAZEEEE i just met Nicki Minaaajj <3 :DDDDDD  ! See ya there!!!!

Hana texted Miyuki and excitedly ran to the backstage entrance, the crowd was still cheering, the sound resonant and apparent throughout the backstage staff who was scrimmaging around, getting all their work done quickly and efficiently. She wondered if this gave them more energy or made them feel more pressure, and she imagined herself as performer, one day being on of the celebrities in an event such as this one.

"Our dream." said Pacifica.
"Yeah, one day a whole crowd like that will cheer for us!" Hana nodded happily and continued to the entrance to meet up with Miyuki.

Haruka noticed more people were showing up and felt as though he was sort of in the way. He gets up and starts to walk towards a booth across from him selling sea-salt candies. Haruka buys an ice-cream and starts to walk down the aisle. He heads towards the crowd and stands toward the entrance of the stage. Sadly, he can't exactly go in, but he likes being by the sidelines of the performance. He can barely see inside the backstage area, noticing a couple faces.

"Hana? Oh, and that one lady in the car is there too." Haruka tilts his head, eating his ice cream.

As she was walking through the crowd, she felt someone bump into her. Looking around she notices a man, who had dropped all his cards on the floor. Wait, cards?

'So he's a vanguard player, hmm. Seems like everyone around here is. Wait a minute, isn't that Sinner, from yesterday?' Miyuki thought back to the day before, trying to recall what the two strangers had looked like, who had been with Hana at the residential area.

'Maybe it wasn't him, I'm not fully sure'. Now she was torn between helping him pick up his cards, and continuing on through the crowd to try and find Hana. Thankfully however, her phone buzzed, with a message from Hana.

Reading this message, she quickly apologised to the man on the ground, and headed through the crowd, towards backstage.

Since Ighanna's performance was done, she was talking to her celebrity friends backstage meanwhile people gathered around her to remove her wig, makeup and dress in order to apply disguise onto her. Once done she walked to the entrance of the backstage where she overheard Hana talking to someone despite being nobody their. At first she thought Hana might be on her phone but she appears to have it in her bag and is holding a card. "Talking to a card?" She asked herself because it seems connected to her recent weird dreams of a "Crimson Angel" pleading her to help. However Ighanna lacked the courage to talk to Hana about it and refuses to mention it for now. She then joins Hana in waiting for Miyuki.

He sees Miyuki help him and go away

"WAIT!!!"

He shouts hoping that she could listen, seeing as she was a nice person he seems to want to talk to her more. He gets closer and says

"I wanted to at least thank you for helping me, my name's Itou. You seem to want to get closer, if 2 people go together it's easier to get through"

He offers his hand to see whether she'd accept his help or not

As she was walking away, she heard the man shout 'Wait!!!'. Suprised, she turned around and looked at him. He introduced himself, and offered his hand to her.

'W-well Itou, nice to meet you I guess. My name is Miyuki. However, my friend invited me somewhere, so I'm afraid that I have to go meet her now. I'm sorry about this, but I'll have to decline your offer.'

With this, she once again walked off, heading towards the backstage, where Hana was hopefully waiting.

Itou gets to know Miyuki, she doesn't seem to think badly of him either so he decides to not be pushy and follow her, instead he makes his way to the stage, which seems to be empty...but then he just thought of an interesting idea

"if i do something maybe the singer comes back?" - or so he thought

Itou breaks through security, steals a microphone and shouts

"HEY WHO WANTS TO PLAY VANGUARD?"

Haruka nearly drops his ice cream when he sees Itou climb on stage through a handful of security guards and yell "Hey, who wants to play vanguard?!"

"No way..." Haruka is in stasis. He can't tell if he's really embarrassed for Itou or just very scared of what might happen to him.

Well things just got interesting...

Haruka nods in response, as he sucks the rest of the ice cream off the stick and tosses it into the trash can across the isle.

"Well. What do we do?"

I thought you had the idea here.

"Nada," Haruka replies, arms crossed.

Dalis sighed, head resting in her hands.

Who the f**k let him on stage?

Grabbing her whip from her sleeve, she stormed onto the stage, face contorted in rage.

"WHY ARE YOU ON THE STAGE? WHO LET YOU ON THE STAGE? I AM GOING TO GET THE SECURITY UP HERE SO FAST, I SWEAR TO GOD. LEAVE. NOW." She yelled in raw fury, snapping her whip on the stage floor beside him to emphasize her point. "GET. OFF. THE. STAGE. HOW DARE YOU."

As the Volleyball game finished and Makuto finished his refreshing drink, he noticed a stage some footsteps away from the court. He decided to approach the stage. As he was approaching the stage his eye caught on a sign that had "Summer Festival" written on it. After a few seconds, he then remembered why he even came to the beach...The Summer Festival where popular singers and entertainers performed to the crowd. He then realised he was too late as he saw people already leaving their seats. As he was about to turn around to leave, he heard a scream and the word "Vanguard". The word Vanguard took his attention and he decided to see what's happening.

"I'm here to continue the show, since it was so short. Are you the one performing here?"

Fearless and stupid at the same time, Itou faces a woman cracking her whip

"Just so you know, if i managed to get here, so can the other fans. What stops them is that they want to see some more entertainment"

"Mii-Hime is that you!?" Hana yelled thinking she spotted Miyuki in the distance.

She had told the security to to let friend in awhile back before she spotted her. Ighanna was next to Hana. She seemed to be silent and in deep thought through Hana's eyes, strange and different from her usually. Nonetheless, Hana tried to keep the happy mood going by smiling and singing, she danced around a little, continuing to wait for Miyuki.

"IF YOU GOT UP HERE AND EVERYONE ELSE CAN, I'M CALLING THE SECURITY!" Dalis roared. "Of course I'm a performer here! Why wouldn't I be? I was only up here performing a routine five minutes ago! The show is over, we can't do anything more. Just go enjoy yourselves in the stalls and the games. Go play Vanguard somewhere else. We're too exhausted."

Attempting to reason with what she reckoned was a brick wall, Dalis prepared herself mentally for a grueling conversation.

Haruka runs over to the stage side and tries to get Itou's attention, however the crowd is rather rambunctious all of a sudden and the yelling from the acrobat makes the adrenaline of the area suddenly heighten.

"Dude, get off!" Haruka loudly whispered to him. "It's probably best we don't piss off people right now. The afternoon is young. Now get down!" Haruka is trying his best to get Itou's attention and separate him from the stage.

"C'mon dude, get down!" Haruka was shooting in the dark right now.

Itou seems to be interested in flipping the switches of the woman, so he taunts her a bit more

"so doesn't that mean you were not the main attraction that got people in this place?"

He wears a smug smile, gets his deck out

"You're right. I should kick you off this stage!" Dalis replied, sitting down and crossing her legs. "Or maybe flip you off. Probably work just the same. Nobody is going to cardfight you. There is no point." She attempted to reason, but she was losing hope by the second. "In a minute, I'm going to walk backstage, get dolled up and leave here to go have some fun with my friends. Maybe play a few games there. But I'm not cardfighting you on this stage."

Dalis stood up, returning her whip up her sleeve and turning to walk off the stage, sighing hopelessly.

With no more disruptions, it didn't take that long to reach the backstage. Although, even though it shouldn't have taken long at all, it seemed as if something had happened, as she faintly heard voices argue from somewhere not too far away.

Eventually, she spotted Hana. With relief, she headed towards her. 'Hiii Hanaa-chan. Oh and is that Iguanna next to you?'

Itou seems to be disappointed in the woman, and so does the crowd who a moment ago were listening to everything

"yeah go back, since you look really agile and flexible maybe next time i see you performing it would be in a Strip Club"

The crowd screams a huge "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" like black people in a rap battle, and then they shout her name

"DALIS DALIS DALIS DALIS DALIS..."

With that chant Itou gets to know her name, and at the same time he pumps up the crowd

"Wake UP!!" my mom said. Startled, I got up and went downstairs. After breakfast my mom said I should go to the beach, immediately i said "No". An hour later i was at the beach, not wanting to be there,  I found a adirondack chair and rested. I took my deck out of my pocket and took a look at it, I saw an unfamiliar card, its name was' Blaster Dark'. I put the deck back in my pocket, and went to sleep.

All of a sudden a beach ball hit me in the face,  I got up looked around, and saw two kids running away. I layed back down and took my deck out of my pocket, I saw two more unfamiliar cards, their name's were 'Fulbau' and 'Blaster Javelin'. Again, someone hit me with a beach ball, knocking his cards out of his hand, and again the kids ran away. As he picked up his cards a bird came, grabbed up 'Blaster Dark',  and flew away.. discouraged I ran after the bird, as the bird flew towards the construction site, I said to mself, " Once everyone is gone I'll go look for it there."

Dalis, fuming with rage, yet not caring all the same. The crowd hadn't even responded, was he just delusional? Without so much of a glance in his direction, she walked backstage, not caring whatever noise came her way. How dare he descend to petty insults. If she wasn't so tired, she'd crush him like the disgusting bug he was.

"How does someone even turn into such an..." Dalis muttered to herself, heading in the direction of her stylists.

Haruka's face contorts with a feeling of helplessness. "Why can't people just, do normal things for once?"

You aren't normal Haru. Neither are the people you're surrounded by. Besides. Normal is boring.

Haruka heads towards the backstage entrance, being eyed especially hard by the guards. "Look, I'm not with him, ok? No trouble here. Just need to rest. Please?"

The guards send each other a look, and nod. Haruka sits by the entrance in the view of the security. While it at first makes him uncomfortable, he ends up not really caring in the end. He seats himself and stares up at the sky for a bit. "I could really use some more ice cream," he complains.

Yukino took precautions to stray away from the raw stupidity of the crowd.

The woman had been there the whole time, and had set up a beach chair and umbrella to lay down and under. Eyes shielded by blue, flowered sunglasses protected the queen not only from the sun, but idiocy that radiated from people. Like the good fellow messing with Dalis' performance. ... Though, he was recognizable, someone from Card Capital now that she thought about it. Even still, messing with her friend's performance just for a fight and then lashing with an insult toward her was a new level of rude.

Snow Angel made sure to remember his face for her mental wall of shame.

Hana smiles and greets Miyuki. "Yes look, its AUNITE IGHANNA!" She points at Ighnanna and pokes her wig.

She hears someone stomping right from the front stage, it was Dalis. She didn't seem so happy. Hana heard the familiar voice through the speakers back stage, Itou.

"Shut the microphone in the front stage and hand me one, turn this one on!" A sound director tossed Hana the mircrophone and she removed her hat and handed it to Drake who was still crying over his last game of Vanguard. "Here you go Drake-san."

His tears flow, like his endless love for his ex-girlfriend. Hana feels a bond starting to form between them.

Hana had the make-up artists quickly prepare her make up. She ran onto the stage, somewhat frustrated, somewhat confused, and somewhat determined to put a stop the insults which had been given to her fellow performer. "Unacceptable! This is completely unacceptable!"

She stormed onto the stage and the crowd cheered. After that was some silence, as they had no idea whom she was. Her heart was beating quickly as she closed her eyes and reached for her inner idol persona. She gripped the microphone tightly in her hands.

"Ohayou minna! Do you want an encore!"

The crowd cheered, and she smiled and started twirling across the stage. "My deck can't fight that well, it's just all about putting on a good show... but I have to act strong!" she thought to herself. The men in black suits set up a fight table on the stage and it was about time to begin.

"I am not a rapper or acrobat, I am a School Idol, a Vanguard Idol, my name is BELLA and I hope to put on a good performance for you all today!" She waved at the crowd and smiled.

The crowd began cheering as both fighters put their decks onto the table. She continued to smile and wave, but her inner emotions got the better of her, she was scared, she's only practiced performing, but she's never actually done so in her entire life. Her heart raced and eventually it was as if something else in her had taken over. She put down the microphone and lay it on the table, next to her deck.

"Unacceptable." She looked at the man with eyes that pierced beyond any sort of knife or arrow. Her voice was lower, much more intense She was no longer in her idol persona, in some words, she was no longer Hana as well.

"Such vile treatment of the sacred place known as the stage, such disrespects towards its performers, such self-absorbed mindsets, focused on your own popularity... is unacceptable! You share the stage and work together to create a show together, that's what it means to perform! You work your very hardest to do your part not for the sake of yourself, but for the sake of those on the stage with you, a pact, a bond, a friendship, that's what it means to be on stage, everyone is the lead."

"But you... you've disrespected it enough, you've no right exist on world of the stage, and no right to exist on the beautiful Planet Cray!"
she drew her first five cards, a bad hand... she missing some grades, Pacifica wasn't there either.... but she had to keep acting strong.... like her sister.

With tears in her eyes she declared,
"I, Hana Isabella Espoir, shall bring down your judgment for such disrespect of my friends and the world I love!"

She lifted the mic towards her again, and her voice was a little rough but she managed to let it out:
"Ikke, My Vanguard! Wendell!"

"The powerful combo of Perla and her dazzling little sisters, let's pump it up everyone!"

Hana had pushed him to edge, managing to get Pacifica later on and re-riding her avatar. Despite this, he managed to get a heal trigger to regain the lead and it was no good as she had missed grade 2, and in terms of cards in hand didn't have enough cards to guard with despite using Pacifica's skill.

In the end Itou had ridden Soul Saver Dragon which had powered up his field and won him the game.

She closed her eyes again and remembered what it meant to be an idol, to perform on stage.

"Minna! I hope you enjoyed today's Summer Festival, we can't wait to perform for you guys next year!" She smiled and waved and greeted them, she saw some of the crowd members greeting back.

Itou had said something, but she was too concentrated on the cheering crowd to care, and like she said, he has no right to exist.

She called security on him and closed the show.

That was the end of the summer festival. Everyone went elsewhere for the rest of the day.

Reaching the stage, a whole uproar was awaiting Makuto. A guy standing on stage screaming at a woman wearing an acrobat costume and having a whip in her hands. The view was amusing yet terrifying as both of them seemed really angry.

After the the acrobat left the stage, a young lady showed up. She claimed to be a Vanguard Idol and she stole everyone's heart as she set a fight for the sake of her dear friend. It didn't need much to even make Makuto smile with her performance. Sadly she lost to the rude man...

"Another wonderful day wouldn't you say?" whispered Makuto so Akuma could hear him.

"Bella was it right? You should keep a close eye on her." answered Akuma with a worrying voice.

Akuma worried of someone? That sure was weird thought Makuto to himself as he was leaving the beach.

Demon World Marquis, Amon shined a malevolent purple within Makuto's deck.

I CALL, SON OF MAN.

Lured by the mastermind, the card and all its copies merged into one. Then, it vanished. A massive hole to the side, invisible to every other being, forcibly ripped itself open. Peering into it, one would see that it is a void of time-space in its rawest form. Even so, the heartbeats of deranged lifeforms could be sensed. In fact, an enormous, ghastly-looking skeletal-like hand bursted forth from within, grabbing the boy, then yanking him in! The wormhole dissipates...

After 5 fights of trying to get into Nationals, Hazama finally did it. "Wow, what good games all of them were," Hazama says to himself. "And what a perfect way to watch the sunset on the beach. THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT!" He pulls out his portable beach chair, sets it up, and watches the sun go down over the horizon. Waves come sloshing upon the shore, reaching Hazama's feet, but not the entire chair. The beautiful streaks of pink and orange are starting to appear in the sky. Hazama just listens to the waves and watches the elegant sky to its colorful dance to end the day.

As soon as he knows it, a crab crawls right besides Hazama's chair. "You want to watch the sunset too?" Hazama asks the crab. The crab looks at him, and the only movement he makes is a 90 degree turn to watch the ocean waves come ashore and the sky do its dance. "How much more perfect could this get?"

Satoshi stretched out on the beach and sighed happily. He felt pretty good at the moment, having realized what his mother finally meant and becoming at ease with himself. Come to think of it, this tanktop and pair of shorts he was wearing were quite comfortable and he was glad to have them, too. He stared out over the water at the sunset about to happen.

Coincidentally, he was waiting for someone he had to apologize to for his actions. This was their meeting place, mostly by his choice. If there was ever any place he was ready to take a slap and fall in the water, it was the beach.

It was a fairly nice place. He had never went to the beach as a child, but had similar experiences at a lake on the property. Volleyball, swimming, sand castles...he knew about all of those and had done them with his parents. Mind you, the lake's beach wasn't nearly as big as this one. He made a mental note to get some swim trunks and come out here some time, maybe with Haruka, Yukino and Hana.

Haruka makes his way to the beach side for the evening. Due to insecurities, Haruka is still wearing his scarf along with his normal beach attire. It's a light blue this time around, like the morning sky. Without a second to waste, Haruka starts eating his ice cream bar. He bought several bars, wondering if maybe Satoshi or Hana would want one. He wouldn't put it past Yukino to take one, considering the way she jacked his last time at Card Capital.

He notices the Satoshi in question stretching a few meters down the beach. "Satoshi!!" Haruka runs over, lugging his candy cache. "You ready?"

With a few licks and a chomp on the corner of the ice cream bar, he takes in a view of the surroundings. Haruka cracks open a strawberry soda can and takes a swig.

"Want one?" Haruka offers about the ice cream. "It's pretty goooooood." He nudges Satoshi to try one.

Satoshi grinned. "Sure, I'll have one." He opened it up and took a bite of it, licking his lips. It was pretty nice, but...

"Y'know, at home, we actually make our own ice cream with fresh milk..." he said between bites. "S'pretty good. Maybe sometime I'll actually be able to bring you guys out there, at least to check it out." He looked at the label on the bar. <Maybe I should tell Pa to start sending shipments to stores...they'd make a lot more money on top of the farmers' market...>

He stared out at the sunset, mulling over Haruka's question. "Am I ready?...Well, kinda. I know what I want to say and do. It's just a matter of not getting ahead of myself, right?" He crossed his legs, sand rubbing up against his thighs. "As long as I do that, from now on, I should be golden."

Time to fix all of which was set in motion. Asking Yunos where the strongest presence of Neo Nectar was in the vicinity, he directed her to the beach. It was quiet, the majority of noise being made by waves crashing against the surface. Some noisy seagulls flying overhead... the last time she was here, it was for a performance by Dalis. That got turned on its head however, but it was something to think on considering she labeled everyone that was a stranger an idiot. Here she was now, seeking one of those many, many idiots everyone else in the world was branded as.

Yugure was happy with how far she came.

It was easy to spot the two she was looking for, because one of them stuck out like a sore thumb. Haruka kept that scarf on, despite being in regular beach attire. Yukino was unable to help but giggle over how stupid that was and looked. Removing her heels, the snow woman began approaching the two men in the sand.

"I'm glad you like it! It's my favorite. Sea salt." Haruka's scarf was maybe a shade lighter or so than the ice cream. Haruka laughed and chuckled a bit before the subject of Yukino herself came up. He wanted to give Satoshi a bit of solace before she showed up.

"Right. No pressure, yeah? I mean that... she was a different person at the time. Just. Act natural." Haruka winks, as he hears the sound of a girly giggle and sand shuffling behind them. "Must be her right now, eh?" Haruka turns his head to see the Queen herself, Yukino Espoir making her way down the beach side.

"Yuuu-kiii-noooo, hurry uuupppp!! Your ice cream is gonna melt!!!"

Haruka yells to make sure she can see them. Then again, he'd be awfully disappointed if his trademark scarf didn't catch anyone's attention considering they were practically the only 3 on the beach at the time.

"Well, here she comes. Remember. Natural." Haruka nods, making sure Satoshi is ready.

Satoshi leaned back a bit to have a look at Yukino. She was dressed in her formal wear, but carrying her heels as she stepped barefoot through the sand. In the sunset...she looked like the beautiful snow flower she was the first day he met her, even though he hadn't exactly indicated it to her in person. Her eyes were back to their normal shade of icy blue, reflecting well in the light as she took each step.

He stood up a bit, with a bit of a sheepish smile, scratching the back of his head. "Fancy meetin' you here, darlin'."

Hearing Haruka mention melting ice cream made Yukino start rushing toward them. Gotta get treats in the midst of all this if possible, she still hasn't eaten anything. Good thing she wasn't near them yet when her stomach growled. Getting to her boys, she swiped away some ice cream from Haruka like she did at Card Capital. For an ice queen, her eyes - free of glowing swords - gave them a warm glance. She was happy to see them, and happy in general after the previous two nights' events.

Before responding, the woman shoveled the ice cream down her throat. Little did she know that, no matter how hungry she was, no matter how fast she wished to rid herself of the feeling... the calamity known as Brain Freeze could not be stopped. Yukino gripped at her head in pain, wincing. "Gaaah!" Crying out, slowing down was the only option.

While eating, the queen spoke: "We... need to talk."

Satoshi fiddled with his hair a little. Yeah, it was time to, wasn't it?

"We do. I know you probably have a lot to say, but...let me go first." He turned to her and stared her right in the eyes and began to speak more.

"When I first met you a while ago, at Card Capital, you were the first person in the city I had ever gotten a chance to interact with, let alone play with. You accepted me being around as a good thing, and you gave me something I never had before, back on the farm I came from: you gave me my very first real friend." He rubbed his cheek a bit. "Coincidentally, I managed to find out that my destiny, fate, whatever you wanna call it, may not be as prominent to yours...but it's tied to it in some way. That gave me more reason to be there as much as I could. Maybe it's simply that sort of coincidence, but...I don't really want to think that.

"You and Haruka both...you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, even more so than my own family. I left that house in the fields wanting to find a purpose in the city, and without you two, I never would've known. It's why I think of us as this little team of sorts..." He felt the sand a bit, blushing. "A triad, even."

He looked over to Haruka. "Honestly, I'm amazed the two of you manage to put up with my unfamiliarity with interacting with other people. All I've ever really known would be my parents, so when things like this happen...I don't really know how to react." He shook his head. "Well, I used to not."

Satoshi looked back to Yukino with another smile. "Yesterday...I was amazed you or Haruka didn't just clock me a new one. I acted impulsively for my own interests, which were focused on preserving the friends I had for the sake of emotional stability, and it came to bite me, hard. I said things I didn't really mean, I felt the world just sort of...collapse." He scratched the back of his head.

"When you said I didn't know what it was like to feel like you failed everyone and that everything was your fault...prior to the moment where everything just snapped in my head, you're right. I didn't. But I learned, and what I learned...I'm hoping to not make happen again." He turned slightly to Haruka. "So first of all, I'm sorry to you. I left you in the park unconscious and I shouldn't have. I'm glad Hana showed up, because otherwise I wouldn't have known what to do with myself. You're a great guy, and I'm super glad to have you as a rival, a partner...and one of the best friends I've ever had."

Once more, he turned to Yukino. "And as for you, darlin'..." He blushed. "I'm sorry I acted the way that I did towards you last night. You're a fine lady, a strong fighter, and the first friend I always wanted. You mean more to me than you know, and...well...I don't know what else to say other than I don't want to leave your side again." A few tears dropped, still smiling like the bumbling farm boy he was. "I hope you can forgive that and take me back, y'know?..."

I see. So these are Satoshi's true feelings then. The honesty on this guy is pretty brutal sometimes.... It's not even cold out, why I am shaking...

These are the things running through Haruka's head, when he finds himself shaken a little. He was so moved by Satoshi's words, he almost had to sit down for them. Haruka had a wry simper on his face, which gradually evolved. The simper became a grin, and then a smile, a big toothy smile. Haruka wanted to jump in the air and yell and holler and hug them both. Haruka had yet to hear the piece from Yukino, but he was already really overjoyed. He turned his attention to her, waiting for her to speak up. He sipped his soda and bit into his ice cream carefully and methodically, taking bits at a time. He wanted to savor it.

The three were standing in what seemed to be a triangle in the sand, and the sun was slowly going down yet nobody seemed to notice or care. The atmosphere was still.

Unbroken.

It felt like a closed space where time was moving at a different pace than the rest of the world. These are the kind of revelations Haruka wanted from Day 1. These are the friends he's wanted since he could remember.

Yukino closed her eyes, listening to everything Satoshi had to say - absorbing it. Before beginning to really care about anyone who wasn't an Espoir or one of Hana's friends, everyone else was just a mongrel. How they felt toward her was irrelevant if it wasn't accepting of her sovereignty. Not once did she consider how the farm boy felt having her for a first friend.

"When... I was lost, on my rampage... I didn't intend on hurting anyone. I only thought about fixing everything I did... I was thinking of only myself too", the queen began, recalling the ordeal. The suffering she went through was like nothing she'd ever forget. The Hell that she was entrapped in for messing up everything... "I pushed everyone away because I thought I didn't deserve anyone."

Eyes opened to gaze upon the two cloaked in the sunset's shadow, smiling at the other two of their triad. Previously believing that the Chosen Sword's destiny was a path solely meant for her and her alone... these past days have changed her mind. Hana, Haruka, Satoshi, Ahmes, Yunos, paladins, all of Cray... It was a shared fate among all of them with her. Uncaring if she was the most important in it or not, she was simply glad to be a part of it. Giving a sigh, she spoke again.

"I should be the one apologizing for forcing everyone away from me. For your voice not reaching me", Yukino expressed how sorry she felt. Finally did the imperial majesty of a girl understand how to interact with friends - with people she really cared about. Being a pompous royal pain made it quite obvious that social skills weren't her strong suit. There were quite a few people to thank for teaching her how to improve. These two were some of them.

"Hell, I should be the one hoping for everyone to forgive me."

Haruka stood there, hands on his hips. The scarf was making a bit too much noise in the breeze, but he didn't bother with it. He took the last bite of his ice cream, and finally opened his mouth.

But nothing came out at first. Everything he wanted to say disappeared for a moment. Was it the right time to bring up that kind of past? Well, if he never did, they would never comprehend why he appreciates this moment more than anything.

"I-uhm. Sorry, this is kind of personal... I-I uh." He scratched his chin, trying to keep a decent disposition. Didn't wanna make this a sob fest after all. Cut to the chase.

"When I was young, I lost my family. My parents I mean. I was at too young of an age to make friends really, and it wasn't until I moved in with my Uncle and Aunt I figured out about a lot of stuff. Like, the normal things teenagers do. But then..." Haruka's face was one of emotion. He was trying hard to keep everything straight and to the point.

"I met you guys. That happened, uh. Wow I suck with words." Haruka just looked up. It's easier to talk to the sky. Less fear of judgement.

"You guys rock, you know? It's hard to explain really. I didn't have friends, or siblings, or much of a childhood. I grew up too fast, as they say. But that's okay. I'm okay now." Haruka took one deep breath, and let it all out, slowly.

"Now that we have that out of the way, you can understand when I say that, I appreciate this a lot guys. And trust me, I forgive both of you guys for making my life a living hell yesterday. Just know I won't be so forgiving next time." Haruka's grin returns with more fervor than before. The wind picks up right on cue, making Haruka's scarf become that of a flag almost.

"Satoshi, you're a great guy who is so damn honest it hurts sometimes. Yukino, you're a great girl with only the best intentions when solving her problems. Bad at solving those problems, maybe. But... that's besides the point." Haruka takes one last chug of his soda and puts in the sand next to him. He looks Satoshi in the eyes. Then Yukino. Then the sky.

"I don't know why I'm saying this now, but, I don't think I'll ever forget you guys." Haruka means this.

I mean this. I mean every bit of it.

"What was that?!" The ticked off queen retorted Haruka's bit about her being bad at solving problems. If this wasn't an emotional moment, she'd bash his skull in. In fact, even if it is one, she's about ready to knock his teeth out. This was so stupid... Haruka's never going to forget them? Of course he wasn't, Yukino wouldn't let him! No, none of them were going to forget each other with this bond they've conceived. They're all of each others first friends - each other's best friends. Long ponytail fluttering with the wind, she looked off to the descending sun with a smile. Hearing the boys lay their hearts out made the girl feel even better than before. Satoshi's true feelings and Haruka's depressing past, learning more about them made her feel closer to them.

Surely, they agreed Haruka truly did suck with words. But those words touched her heart.

A light chuckle of gratitude for getting the chance to meet them came from the snow woman.

Satoshi wiped away his tears. He was happy to have his friends back, that much was for sure. But...something else weighed on his mind, and he knew exactly what it was. He took out his deck and started looking through it. All of the changes Yukino recommended to him were there, and so far he had been successful with them, so he owed it to her to---

That's right. He wanted to face her again, now that they were both stronger.

He looked up to her and grinned. "Well, now that you're better...I made some changes, and I wanna see how they stack up now that you're, y'know, better. Sound good?" He took her by the arm and jerked his head to the direction of cardfight tables that were apparently installed at the beach at some point to Haruka.

Something felt different about her even still, but it was a good different. A resolved different. He wanted to see it for himself.

"A fight...? ... Sure, having the type of fight that I enjoyed that day at Card Capital and our sleepover..." Yukino reminisced. The Vanguard that she came to grow with was the one she learned to have fun with - the one that wasn't a tool to justify destiny. Ahmes and Yunos were ready, the swords of Courage and Resolution braced for battle. Having adjusted her deck for this miracle of blasters, she took it out. Approaching the table and placing her heels down on it instead of sitting them in the sand.

A sudden murderous aura closed over the Ice Queen. "Hey, hey, you know I don't mean it, eh?" Haruka laughed, chasing the two down to the fight tables at the far side of the beach. Running in the sand made him feel like a little kid, chasing after the waves with his friends, or searching for seashells. They were doing neither of those, but it felt just as great.

He wanted to see this fight in action. A true battle between them. This was something he had kind of hoped would happen since they got here. And now he got to see it all, bathed in the sunset glow.

"Alright guys. Make this good! We're running out of daylight." Haruka had a dumb smirk on his face from ear to ear. "Make this great." he murmured out.

The sixth damage hit the table in the form of Iris Knight. Yukino had definitely done it, once again, and had defeated Satoshi with her new Royals. It was just as fun as the very first game they played, and it showed off what both of them were especially good at when it came to Vanguard.

He scooped his cards off the table and reset them in their box. Yeah, he was back to being second best again in their triad. But the triad was back, he was absolutely certain of this. He smiled as he walked around the table and hugged her close and tight. Despite her rejection of becoming something romantic, it didn't matter, because even so...he still felt the same. That meant he learned something new once again. This wasn't romantic love...it was friendly love.

"I love you. Both of you." He motioned Haruka to join the hug. He really did. He knew now. He definitely loved them both.

Satoshi Kurosaki and Yukino Espoir are no longer sealed from each other affinity-wise.

The game began in Satoshi's favor, with Yukino amassing six grade 3 units in hand by her second turn. Even so, she pressed on. The queen proved that she was reborn anew with a satisfactory answer - as "Yugure". The Chosen Sword of Twilight worked with the heavy disadvantage, riding Blaster Blade, and with Wingal Brave's skill... Yunos was revealed. A new deck built based on these two fated coming together. Yunos' blade in Ahmes' hands... armor was properly created for the hero of light.

Two desires shall clash together; A power shall be born of the two.

Sporting darkened, but larger amounts of armor with a massive energy sword... A flame of passion burning overhead, standing proud, Majesty Lord Blaster entered the fray. The Ahmes who had accepted the will of his brother in arms evolved to surpass despair. Even if it was a simple display of his newfound might, there was no mercy for the gardeners and wildlife of Cray. In the midst of battle, Satoshi laid his feelings for Yukino on the table. ... Much to his surprise, it was rather bloody obvious. Instead of giving him a direct answer, the queen let this hero of counterattack speak for her.

This moment intertwines our destinies, so let us take to the skies. The flame in our hearts will burn away the darkness, this miraculous power will descend here.

With a single Critical Trigger, Majesty Lord Blaster forced Satoshi's earlygame advantage of holding himself at two damage to five. A clear rejection emphasized by the deck's possessiveness of their queen and his lack of a single damage trigger. She was oddly proud of how she rejected him... Though, Satoshi saw this coming anyway, he states. Content with the decision of his "Snow Flower", he received a rather harsh Critical whenever he gave his feelings toward her. Maybe Yunos was the one who was the most displeased with this...

Soul Saver's grand return rallied the hopes of the previously devastated holy knights. Hope refilling the hearts of heroes - even the renegade - who believed that they had failed... They kept believing they could fix things, but only now in this moment did the hopelessness vanish completely.

This moment intertwines our destinies, so let us take to the skies. The flame in our hearts will burn away the darkness, this miraculous power will descend here. All of fate begins to move, unable to be stopped until the end. With this reclaimed faith, this miraculous power will descend here.

The fate between Yugure and Jellal was not one that could be stopped, but it was this fate where the the cycle of karma and sorrow end. The Blasters marched gallantly onto the battlefield toward the evolved Dragon of Hell on Cray, as did all of Royal Paladin. Yukino accepted the hug from Satoshi after her victory, and gazed upon Haruka with wishful eyes for him to join them.

This triad was seeing the end together.

Haruka was pretty astounded at the results of what just happened. A confession? And rejection? Well. Haruka was right about one thing. Ignoring those sorts of emotions was probably smart. He didn't want to face the same fate as his friend here. Instead, he simply rolls his eyes and joins the hug. He gulps, feeling a tremor. His pocket starts to burn up.

"My Vanguard, Haru. The battle has begun. The Royal Paladins and Shadow Paladins have met at a front and neither seem to be backing down. The End, is near."

Nice pun, Overlord. Time to get serious.

"Alright, alright, cool stuff guys. Good fight. And, er, Summer Sun? At least think of something cooler please." Haruka cracks his neck, as the wind starts to blow harder. The night sky is all-encompassing at this point, only moonlight left.

I thought I had more time. Well. It's now or never.

"Yuki... Something doesn't feel right here."

Yuki? That's new. Hmm, it's cute. Stick with it. Haruka shakes his head, clearing it all out. Overlord must be hardcore stressing out considering Haruka wasn't even in a Cardfight and the deck was burning hot.

Seph had also joined in on the hug, reminding the three that they were being watched over by Cray as well. After a short moment, he backed off.

"Satoshi. It's time for her to do it."

The boy thought for a moment, then nodded. "Right. Jellal." He pat Yukino on the back. "Knock 'em a new one for me, y'hear?" He laughed.

The soothing sound of the ocean brushing up against the gentle sand. A small breeze was summoned, pushing the ocean waters ever so closer. The voices of a small handful of people echoed into the ears of the blonde/mixed fighter who sat on a bench, relaxed or attempting to. It was Jellal as he stared into the ocean with his usual attire, expression included. His eyes matched the midnight sky as the white moon had illuminated him. As he got up off the log, he took a few steps away from the beach until he saw 3 shadows grouped in their own confinement. The blonde hair boy was curious as one of them had long white hair.

"Could it be...?" He approached the 3 shadows, slowly bringing them and his suspicions to life. He saw who appeared to be the chosen one: Hikari accompanied by two individuals he had not been familiar with. Regardless, these were his targets, the final obstacle towards him reaching his goal.

"Now, let's begin what I should've ended last time. I call forth the storm!" He commanded as the winds became more intense, his eyes full of determination. With a snap of his fingers, the wind calmed.

"Now let the world distort!"

Hazama sets up his chair and prepares to watch the sunset. He pulls out his deck "Hercules, I thank you for this deck, but I want to do better. No I need to better. If you can here me please heed my call."

A flash of light appears before me. This light does not fully resolve into what I hope it to be, but at least it is a sign of connection. The light fades into a small white orb in front of me. Then, it starts speaking. "Hazama I know you want to win, but you have to give it some time. You haven't fought in the past two months and you just did switch your clan, so you have to get some practice in. Like you said before, these opponents will be test fodder. I know you will not fail at your goals. I am right here beside you... Always."

The orb suddenly vanishes from existence upon this world. "He's right, I just need to give it some time, but I can still always proceed with my goals," Hazama says to himself.

With this new burst of confidence, he continues to watch the sunset.

As part of Elizabeth's trip to see if everything really has changed, she first sets off to the beach. Knowing that the beach was her favorite place to go, she comes across an individual holding a deck of cards and proceeded to ask "Do you play Cardfight!! Vanguard!?" in which the stranger didn't reply to it, getting anxious about the answer, she proceeds to ask for a cardfight to know.

Ighanna got sent off at the beach by her chauffeur to enjoy a lovely dinner by the beach however what caught her sigh was a group of familiar faces crowding around what appears to be a Vanguard Table. Thinking about it last time there wasn't any here so as confused as she was she approached it just to see it was a portable vanguard table just like what she saw at the park with Neo. Without a doubt she closed in on the dog food eater and spectated on the game which was between him and another girl who was playing Angel Feathers, I guess its quite common?

"Metatron, do a lot of people know about Angel Feathers?" she asked her crimson avatar.

"Well it is a normal clan and theres nothing special about it so normal people should be able to obtain it with ease, the angelic theme is especially popular amongst girls. Maybe master should promote yourself as an Angel Feather player and celebrity, this would have a huge effect as the female player base would increase!" Suggested Metatron, the idea seemed kind of interesting for her but on the other hand she does want to be unique, she doesn't want everyone to use her avatar, Metatron. Actually the girl was running Ergodiel so her thoughts circled around for a while.

So Neo had met yet  another cardfighter and was gaining experience left and right. Off in the distance he noticed Ighanna watching and wondered "Maybe I could get a ride home" But that was for later.

"I'll drive you to the Espoir Mansion, if the topic is about you're "Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion then I might have some useful information about it but we'll have to discuss that with the others." replied Ighanna as her chauffeur opens the door for her and Neo to get on, driving at full speed to the Espoir's estate.

All of yesterday was spent at home for Haruki. The young man of justice spent his time in bed to rest after the sleepless nights he had with his friends the past couple of days. He wasn't accustomed to staying up late, so a day's rest was required for his fatigue.

On the new day, Haruki was all rested and ready to have some more fun. He hadn't gone to the beach yet this summer, so that sounded like a great place to chillax and have a good time. After packing his bag with everything he needed, Haruki put his giant plush tiger on his bed and headed out.

The sun was shining as Haruki got to the beach at last. Everyone was having fun, playing games on the beach, swimming in the ocean, and tanning under the sun. To start out his day, the young man decided to have fun in the water. He went out with his swimsuit into the blue ocean, ready for a great day.

Cero wandered to the beach after his victory over the Espoirs.  He had finally surpassed those who had defeated him...  But it felt wrong.  There was something off about his victory, but he quite sure what it was.  Noticing a snack bar and a few fight tables around it, Cero decided that he may as well search for a new rival, and the best way would be creating a commotion at popular cardfighting areas.  He walked over and began his shouting, "I am Cero Kirguis, Europe's King of Vanguard!  I challenge all fighters here who believe themselves to be strong!"

Several people just left at the appearance of the seemingly mentally ill foreigner, but a few accepted the challenge of the King, only to be completely decimated just as the Espoirs had the previous night.  Cero was frustrated.  No one was worth his time, it seemed.  He had surpassed everyone that mattered.  Sighing, he decided to stay here, at least for a while, in hopes that a worthy challenger would appear before him.

Neu sat under an umbrella, next to a floatation donut which she brought just cause it looked cool. She was wearing a black two-piece swim suit with a frilly skirt and a thin white cardigan. She had her purse around like usual. She was just laying down, under an umbrella. Someone was off screaming in the distance.

She shrugged it off and took her purse with her to approach the person who was just loud. She shrugged it off yet again because he was still so loud and pulled a deck out of her back, putting her starting Vanguard down on a table in front of him.

"I don't get what strong is or whatever, but promise me a good fun match?"

Haruki was having a great day at the beach. He swam in the ocean, dug a hole for no reason and was building a sandcastle now. But in the middle of his construction, the young man of justice heard a man shouting out for strong people to cardfight. He wanted to check out what it was all about, but after he finished his castle first.

Once finished, he went over and saw that his friend Neu was at the beach too and in the middle of a fight with the man that was shouting a while ago. It looked like another fun fight, so Haruki decided to stand by them and watch the game.

The deck of his opponent was of the same clan he saw a vision of while fighting Hikari...  Shadow Paladin.  This came as quite a shock to Cero, and left him off his game and unfocused.  On top of that, he felt his opponent was mocking him.  She didn't believe in strength, she kept telling him about what he should do, and it didn't even feel like she was trying to beat him.  All of these, along with getting gradestuck and hardly any triggers throughout the game and making several poor choices, caused Cero to lose to this woman.

"You...  I can't stand you!!!"  This woman had mocked both who he was as a person and as a Vanguard fighter, and had sucked any 'fun' he could've had out of the game.  If he hadn't have been so angered by these events, he would've been asking about Shadow Paladin, but this...  This was just unforgivable.  Cero grabbed his deck and began to march away, infuriated that someone so disrespectful of Vanguard had managed to defeat him.

Satoshi arrived a little late to the beach. Today was a day of getting to know Neu at least a little better and fighting with her to understand how she played the sealed clans so detached, and yet so well. Wearing his swim trunks and having taken his shirt off upon arrival, he was ready for a pretty nice beach day.

He noticed that king guy who beat him to get into regionals, Cero, walking off fuming. Seeing Neu in the distance lazing around, he probably just got dunked by one of the clans. Expected, considering Neu's skill.

He walked up, carrying a towel over his shoulder. "Sorry I'm late, I had a little shopping to do. How're you today, darlin'?"

"Europe's King of Vanguard....huh." She tilted her head as she walked away, the crowd cheering for her. She looked around at them and smiled, giving pumping them up and giving them energy. "Now, everyone! Let's enjoy ourselves!" It was a very exciting match for Neu, even though she's seen all his tricks before. He was a weird one, looking for someone strong but then instantly falling apart. He didn't seem to have fun, most likely because his only fun was in winning, which obviously did not happen. A search for strength isn't needed, it just comes to whomever enjoys themselves. Basically, the stronger is the one who doesn't lose themselves in their search for it, the one who doesn't even try to search for it at all. But it was fun, seeing yet another Vanguard monarch fall off his throne, a slow clap on his honor. Now that she gave him a second take, he wasn't half bad, and then Neu thought about all the screaming he would do in bed.... ah never mind....

The fight ended in Neu's favor. A fun battle, although the shouting fighter may not have thought so when he charged off in anger. Neu went to talk to someone else too, so the young man of justice decided it was about time to pack his things and head home. He began to think to himself that its been a while since he's had a fun cardfight, or any cardfights for that matter. "Maybe I should get back into it sometime," he thought to himself. "After all, a fun cardfight is a good way to spread justice to the world." Haruki went home while thinking about where he should cardfight next.

Unlike the last fight, Satoshi had secured a much-needed advantage and pulled out ahead very early, putting Neu on five damage. Even with her newer units alongside Dragonic Lawkeeper's Limit Break, things Haruka would never have used before, it wasn't enough to fight the pressure. A lack of triggers at the right time allowed him to win, using Muse's Limit Break for good measure. All in all, a much better fight than last time, though it still raised some questions.

Where were these new units coming from? Were they always around? What new units did Shadow Paladin acquire due to being in Neu's hands?

He figured he'd let Yukino know about the units he saw when they hung around in the park later, perhaps ever so briefly. Maybe she---and Seph, who had been busy most of the day with Council of Cray meetings---would know something about it.

Requesting lunch, he motioned for Neu to come with him to the snack bar. "Food's on me," he said with a smile and a wink.

"Winks are weird but free food sounds nice." Neu was overjoyed that he had a fun fight. He seemed less serious and more relaxed than last time, that was good. Either way she put her deck back into her purse and carried it. She flipped her hair again and ran her fingers through it, tying her hair to a ponytail.

"Sure, a quick lunch then I then I gotta go."

Satoshi frowned. "So soon? But I just got here..."

Ah, well. This likely didn't go the way Neu was expecting and she wanted to get out of here. Even though it was clear she had a pretty good time cardfighting at the beach. Hell, maybe they'd do it again sometime. Besides, she was still cute, even if she was up to something...

Satoshi ordered a hot dog, some fries and a beverage, leaving Neu to order whatever her little heart desired. He had a bit of a bonus this week, so what better thing to splurge it on then a friend?

"You guys have fish balls?"  She nodded, "You do? I'll get that, thanks."

Neu turned around and found a seat somewhere around the area. Removing her cardigan and putting it back into her bag, she put on a striped black shirt over her swimsuit. Then she placed her purse back onto the ground and looked at her phone and started texting a few people. She also checked the time as well. She would like to stay more, but unfortunately she cannot because someone was little late.

"Yeah you just got here, but you kept me waiting for hours man." She leaned back on her chair, clearly annoyed.

She was sitting all day under an umbrella, and it was hot. Very hot. At least the fight lifted up her mood, she even went and swam around a bit, getting a bunch of guys to look her way even though she would never notice. She sighed deeply, it was a mostly uneventful day outside of the few fights that she was able to get. Though, on the bright side, she was able to get free fish balls. It was almost about time for her to go though, since it was getting dark and all.

"Er... sure but I guess I'll just bring a friend along or something so I don't have to wait by myself," with that she stood up and ate the fish balls, starting to walk off towards the parking lot.

It was dark. Well of course it was, it was two in the morning. Haruka was staring at the morning sky. It was a dark, dark shade of blue. Navy wasn't even a good enough way to describe it.

Haruka was eating ice cream, laying in the sand, and singing to himself. It was one of his favorite songs.

"... In a world so cold and empty, I could lie awake just to watch you breathe... In the dead of night, you went dark on me..."

The song wasn't particularly cheerful, but it was easy to remember and the demeanor of the song was fitting.

Haruka was sure at this point he had no strength to do anything more than what he was doing now. Sera was close to breaking him down and all he could do was sing and savor his favorite treat on the beach side.

The sounds of the waves provided a perfect symphony to guide Haruka's unnaturally strong singing voice. It was strange. He felt at home where he was. It felt something like a burial at sea.

"Maybe... Just maybe." Haruka looked at his cell. As he expected, no messages. He was sure Satoshi or something would want to meet, or maybe Yukino would check on him.

Can't ask for too much in these times. They're fighting their own battles. Haruka simply was fighting his now. He sang another song, for consolation.

"But you told me, if you love me, let it die..."

Still not super cheery. Haruka needs better music taste.

"I can't believe you're already giving up."

Haruka heard Vortimer's voice faintly. He didn't know what to say. Was this him giving up? No way. Haruka promised he never would. Yet he found himself once again unable to do anything at all.

"Vortimer. I'm sorry. Apologies won't fix the problem..."

"Shut up, fool. You're My Vanguard, listening to you apologize to me is part of the job. But also...," he paused, "you have loving people who would hate your guts if you just up and ended it here."

Haruka's guilt pangs returned. Vortimer was right. But that doesn't mean Haruka had an answer to give.

"I'm sorry." Was all he managed after all.

Miyuki paced around the beach, for the umpteenth time. She had returned home yesterday, after leaving the diner with Hana, as she sensed that siblings needed some alone time. 'At least I got proper sleep' she thought, smiling bitterly. She wasn't sure what to do now. Go over to the Espoir mansion to see if they were alright? That was an option, but she wasn't sure if the siblings needed more time alone.

On the other hand, if she didn't go, and there was actually a problem, that'd be bad. She was hesitant to even send a text however, they had seemed almost 'hostile' to each other yesterday, and she really wanted to give them time. Torn by this, she continued to pace around the beach, unsure of what to do. She both wanted to see Hana, and wanted the siblings to get more time together.

Hazama arrives at the beach, now with a soda in hand. Time to relax again after this busy day. He gets out his little, low to the ground, portable chair. He takes off his shirt as it was hot in the school building today and the breeze will feel good against his body. Last thing he does is gets out his headphones and resumes the song Classic Man by Jidenna.

I wonder what the rift looks like. According to Neo, it's something that defies space and time to transfer mortals into this portal. What I have gathered makes it seem like events can occur in that space and time warp. Thus leading to the conclusion maybe events that take hours or days in "The Rift" could only take seconds in the real world. But that's just a hypothesis. Well time to get a start on this to unseal the clans. Tsubasa, you are close to Neu right, then you will be the perfect person to start off unraveling the story behind "The Rift". Just wish there could be a simpler way.

'Back at the beach again huh' she thought. She really didn't seem to have much to do right now. Hana seemed to be really busy, and she didn't want to disturb her. 'Maybe I should check on her though' she thought. 'Hmm I'll give it a few hours, she was busy around this time yesterday I think, I'll check later'.

She sighed and sat down on one of the chairs at the beach. 'Pacing back and forth does eventually wear you out I guess'. She closed her eyes slightly, deciding to have a small rest.

The day after his encounter with Yukino, Cero decided to go to the beach...  The place where he first encountered that woman.  With the rumours of Cray looking for a hero, Cero knew he had to find strength more than ever...  Maybe, just maybe, if he was selected, he'd be able to show not only that woman, but the entire world, his way of Vanguard, and that he is the one who will become the world's strongest Vanguard Fighter!  He was willing to do anything to gain the power he needed...  Just so he could face that woman again head on, and defeat her.  Cero clenched his fists at the thought of her...  The woman who believed Vanguard should be played only for "fun," and there should be no competition, no desire for strength...  But that's what made it 'fun.'  Without a goal, without a rival, without someone to surpass or to challenge you, there was no fun, only emptiness.  That's why he searched for strength...  So that Vanguard had meaning, no matter what.

Just like he had several days ago, Cero approached the fight table, shouting his usual challenge, and those that accepted being beaten with ease.  Doing just this wouldn't make him any stronger...  Fighting Yukino again would be pointless until she regained her courage and resolve...  There was no way for him to grow at this point...  In a fit of rage at this realization, Cero slammed his fist down and broke tone of the fight tables.  "No, there must be a way...  Some other way...  I have to be missing something!!!"  Cero refused to accept it, but was there really any way for him to go beyond what he was now?  Could he reach the height woman was at?

Noah, feeling down after making Haruka feel so awkward, decided to relax at the beach. He went to a nearby restroom to change into his swimsuit. He was surprisingly, somewhat toned. When he got to the beach he laid out his navy themed beach towel under a tree, and put on his shades. He then laid down on the blanket and let his mind wander.

"I guess I need to just be myself, even with Maelstrom's request. If I don't I'll end up just making people around me uncomfortable. Even though myself is just a weak, shy boy with no friends..." Noah thought to himself.

"If you keep believing you're weak, you'll never become strong." Maelstrom's words filled Noah's mind. "To become strong you have to have the will to get stronger, you can't just be the weakling you think you are."

"But Maelstrom, I -am- weak, that's who I am." Noah thought back.

"That's only a false connotation you have. Throw away that weak self, and become the person you want to be!" Maelstrom's words echoed in Noah's head.

"Who do I want to be...." Noah thought to himself.

It took a little bit but after preparing everything, including a surprise stage to be set up for Hana, Yukino went on ahead to the beach. She decided against a swimsuit after learning that Hana already had a new one, and the queen wasn't willing to shop for one alone. Barking orders to get things ready, one of the butlers was told to bring over the others.

A new text for the four of Hana, Haruka, Satoshi, and Miyuki:

"I'm having one of the butlers pick you guys up, so get ready. He'll be able to find you in case you're not at the manor."

Once again, Cero returned to the beach.  He had come here in hopes of finding that woman to challenge her to a rematch.  However, he was out of luck.  She was nowhere to be found.  Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Yukino.  Still believing her to be too weak to bother with, he turned away and chose to ignore her.  Since he was here and brought his beach stuff, he figured he may as well take a day off from his rather boring training and relax.  He set up an area for himself, and threw off his jacket and shirt.  Laying down, Cero closed his eyes for a nap, comforted by the cool ocean breeze.

Satoshi was sitting at the snack bar on the beach when his pocket buzzed. It was Yukino, telling everyone that a butler was on his way to pick them all up and drop them off at the beach.

He sent a quick text back:

No need. I'm at the snack bar already, getting some fries. You can come and chat some if you'd like, it's a pretty obvious little building that went up here recently.

He put his phone away and rubbed his temples a little. A lot had been on his mind recently, so one of his goals for the day had been to go to the beach and not think for a while, something Seph obliged to because he thought it would be good for his champion. They had spent most of the morning brainstorming new names for their soul combintaion because what initially came to mind, Satoshirot, wasn't nearly as cool as they were expecting.

They all took the magic butler sedan which stopped by every single place that they needed to go to. It also was conveniently quick and was able to speed warp through traffic. Of course, this was because of the Rift. Because no matter what happens, everyone always blames the Rift. Neu Edelweiss is an evil mastermind and wants to destroy the world through wanting to play Vanguard for fun. Obviously. Also we need to talk about the missing clans. Yep, that's what they talked about on the way to the beach, missing clans. Where did they get plot-wise? Nowhere.

Hana stepped out of the sedan and did a quick stretch. The sun was still out and the ocean breeze was fresh and cool, a perfect combination with the hot summer sun. She had the opportunity to change when the butler mobile had stopped by over at the manor. She was wearing a white sundress as well as a straw hat signed by Drake. It probably even had some of his left over tears. It was her favorite hat.

The ride was rather... interesting.

Getting to Haruka's house, he was given only a few moments to grab whatever he needed and be back in the car before the butler's personally wrenched him back into the vehicle. The schedule had stiffened a little it seems. Towel, trunks, deck, new scarf.

Well, the scarf was the one he got with his trunks so it was only natural.

Arriving at the beach was a breath of fresh air. It still warm out despite the evening rolling in. The sun had gone down only a little bit, but that didn't particularly bother him. It meant less people staring and questioning why he wasn't going to get in the water. Getting a decent look around the area, he notices Yukino standing on the beach side. He expected her in a cute swimsuit, but alas, not today.

Eh... Well, can't always win.

The conversation in the car about missing clans was rather interesting.

Not really.

"Hey, Yukinooo." He waved with a simper on his face, scarf somewhat flapping behind him. He hopes he isn't hitting anyone with it.

'Oh yes, I'm going to the beach' she said. 'Should be a nice change of pace.' With that, they were whisked away by the butler. She was given time to collect some of the things she had left at the mansion, and get dressed. She didn't feel bothered to wear anything too special, so she just wore a simple dress. She didn't really feel like swimming anyway.

Miyuki found the discussion on missing clans in the car mostly pointless, it was just going over stuff they already knew, and just dragged down the mood for no real reason. Oh well.

It was still light by the time they reached the beach (as it hadn't taken long), despite the time. The beach offered a nice view of ocean, with the sun reflecting off of the sea. She walked onto the beach, enjoying the breeze. 'It was probably good to get out at least' she thought.

Hana brought a big bag with her. She was already wearing her swimsuit her dress, but knowing Mi-hime wouldn't bring one, she brought a pair that she had purchase back when she was with Riviere at the shopping district. Riviere chose it specifically for Mi-hime. Hana had no complaints. She walked over behind her crush who had walked onto the beach and she enjoyed the breeze that ran by.

"Mi-hime you're going swimming with me today." Hana pointed at her.

The queen, donned in a light blue sundress as homage to her natural snow woman-likeness, looked off in the distance to see the others arriving. Yukino texted Satoshi to come over and meet with everyone, while also shooing away the workers that had been working on the surprise with her. They were traveling to another side of the beach. Closing her phone and putting it away, she rubbed her hands together, charged with excitement. Today was going to be a good day for Hana, even if Yukino had to kill a man.

Waving to greet and motion them over, she stopped after a few seconds. Her boyfriend wearing a scarf on the beach again caught her off guard with a "Really?" expression. Yet, she supposed it wouldn't be him if he wasn't wearing it.

Noah was rudely awoken from his nap when he heard a somewhat small crowd of people enter the beach. Among them was was Satoshi, Haruka, and three girls he had never seen before.

"Ugh, I fell asleep, it's already sunset now.... where did the day go?" Noah thought to himself, yawning.

No one else was at the beach except those five individuals, but all of them had the same aura.

"Both Satoshi and Haruka made mentions of friendship, are these five all friends? Well then they'd all be trying to unseal the clans, right?" Noah thought. Noah winced in pain.

"Correct, all five of them are trying to unseal the lost clans." Maelstrom's words echoed in Noah's head.

"I'd better lay low for now then." Noah thought to himself.

Noah felt a strong feeling of envy of the group, he had never had friends, so he never knew what it was like to go to the beach in company. He loved the beach, but he never went there with anyone besides himself.

Miyuki was still just standing on the beach when Hana walked up to her. 'Mi-hime you're going swimming with me today.' Those words didn't sound like they were giving her a choice, and knowing Hana, 'I forgot my swimsuit' wasn't going to work. She probably had one for her in that bag.

'Alright, sure thing!' she said, admitting defeat inwardly. It looked like she would be swimming today. She could see Yukino waving in the distance, seeming to be slightly happier than usual. Hopefully that was the case.

He saw Yukino was really giddy. Then she looked at him, and gave him a sour look. In response he pouted and shrugged.

What I do wrong this time?

...

.....

.......

It never hit him that the scarf looked sort of ridiculous out here at the beach. He discarded the thought and instead just ran up to her. He was probably the most excited of the bunch to see her, maybe save Satoshi, considering he was always pretty chipper to see the group as well.

Despite not being clad in the bathing suit he hoped for, his lovely woman was wearing a beautiful dress. An icy blue. Funnily enough, Haruka's scarf was crimson. He didn't have an idea as to why he picked it, it sort of just matched the cliche red flowers on his black trunks.

"Good to see you as always darling." He gave his stupid little bow before turning back to Miyuki and Hana.

Hana had mentioned something that caught his attention.

Swimming. Ugh. Good thing I'm not part of that call.

"Yay!" Hana hopped up and hugged Mi-hime, also trying to seem more happier to make her feel better.

She turned her head to notice Yukino waving in the distance. Hana headed on over and grabbed Mi-hime's hand. Yukino not wearing a swimsuit was kind of disappointing for Hana especially since Yukinee's bf was wearing one. "Its no fair for him, she should've thought about him too..." Hana thought to herself. There was an eerie feeling from the wind that Hana felt, one that she usually felt during council meetings. Though, it seemed very weak and currently irrelevant so she ignored it.

Do you know how ridiculous a scarf looks on you right now?! She mentally shouted in response to that sour look of Haruka's, but still gave him a smile as he arrived first. While the others approached, the boy had turned around, but she grabbed his arm and turned him back toward herself. Immediately did she plant her lips on his for a kiss, as it had been far too long since they met. After holding it for a few extra seconds, she let him go.

Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and the like had already been set up for them. Each spot with their belongings was pointed out, as was the snack bar Satoshi was at.

"I'm sure you're burning up in that dress", Ezel jeered.

"Quiet... Haruka gets his surprise later."

Pain shot through Noah's head.

"You should make an appearance, what's the worst that could happen?" Maelstrom's words swirled around in Noah's head. Somehow Maelstrom's words gave the timid boy a blind sense of confidence, so he walked along the beach to the snack bar where Satoshi was.

"Fancy seeing you here." Noah said calmly. "What is all of this?"

Would you rather I show off the war scars? He wanted to give back in response.

Thing is the two weren't actually talking so this conversation didn't really happen. Technically.

The kiss was mostly unexpected, causing him to let out a small high-pitched cry.

"Hmmf...!" As the kiss ended, he ended up still looking at her, blinking. It took him a moment to realize what had just happened. He was actually ecstatic about it and it only showed a little on him, showed by the really big smile plastered on his face. To avoid further embarrassment he covered his face with his scarf and looked around at everything that had been set up.

"I-er, I'm going to sit d-down for a second." His mind was still jumbled by the softness pressed against his lips only a moment ago, causing him to need to take a seat really quick. He places his towel down on the beach chair and sits on it's edge, a bit jittery, allowing Hana, Yukino and Miyuki to chat up for a bit.

Satoshi recognized that voice while he was munching on fries. It was that kid he met at the regional hall...Noah, was it?

He spun around on the stool. "Heya. Didn't think you were that much of a beach person." He popped another fry in his mouth. "What d'you mean, 'all of this'? It's just fries, man."

Now that he thought of it, he may have noticed the large party of people here that stuck out like sore thumbs, since Yukino, Haruka, Hana and Miyuki were all here. Still, he didn't really have any reason to believe Noah knew he was connected with these people. Especially since he was too hungry to hang out with them at the moment.

He rubbed the back of his neck. Having already changed into swim trunks a while back, he was pretty comfortable without a shirt. Some girls had apparently squeaked about his abs, but he didn't pay it any notice.

After leaving the regional hall, she decided that hhe beach would be another good place to explore as the location is lively enough for concerts too, seen from last time's summer festival. However due to the open-air nature of this beach stage, she'll have to see the weather beforehand but luckily today seemed sunny enough, a bit more than enough, hot. She then realized a few familiar faces, recognizing them as soon as they turned around. It was Yukino and her friends!

"Hellllloooo what are you doing here!" Ighanna shouted happily as she skipped on the white powdered sand towards the gathered people.

Cero was awakened by the racket of some absurdly irritating voicing shouting in an equally irritating tone.  He shot up, and looked towards the voice, glaring with a rage that only the father of the Espoirs could rival.  He walked slowly and methodically towards the unfamiliar person who had caused him to awaken.  With his back to the sun and his head tilted down just enough that most of his face was covered in shadow.  In the distance, storm clouds began to form...  When he reached the person who dared interrupt his day of relaxation, he spoke in a tone that was quieter yet far more terrifying than any Cero had used before, "Are you the one shouting like this is some college party?"

Haruka had just made his way over to make out with Yukino. Ok. Ew. Iguana-chan seems to have made her way to the beach too.

"Hi Iguana-chan." Hana silently greeted her.

She walked past all of them and went over to the shore with the crashing waves. It was nice, so Hana walked in deeper until she was knee deep. The waves crashed on her and it felt as if she was getting pulled into the water. She just smiled to herself and bent down, grabbing the water in her hands It felt nice and calm. The natural breeze was also coming in with the waves and bringing in the fresh smell of the ocean. She waited for the waves to keep coming and they did. All in varieties of shapes and sizes, they crashed onto her rhythmically, creating a music of her own. The rest of the noise was flushed out by the ocean's music and Hana closed her eyes and hummed to herself.

Noah sighed, he wasn't very good at dealing with people.

"Sorry, I'm not good at talking with others, but people gathered together, most if not all of which want to unseal the lost clans. That doesn't seem like a coincidence, so what are you guys planning?" Noah truthfully told Satoshi what he was trying to figure out, as Satoshi was clearly getting irritated. These people trying to unseal the clans, they sure weren't the friendliest of people. Well then again, most people weren't particularly friendly towards Noah.

Satoshi shook his head, still turned away. "Search me. You're acting like I know these people."

He did, but acting like they were up to something instead of just maybe being on the beach for a day was kind of an obnoxious thing to think. It's not like world leaders went to the beach to advocate some kind of plan for their governments.

Well, some did. Actually, not too far off from the snack bar, the prime minister of Japan was rambling about changes to the city and the surrounding area in a pretty casual setting. Satoshi had been eavesdropping for a while out of curiosity while waiting for his food.

"I guess if anything's going on, it's over there." He pointed in the direction of the crowd listening to the prime minister to Noah.

With the lack of response from anyone nearby to his question, Cero raised his voice to the absolute highest it could go, "WHO DARED DISTURB THE KING'S SLUMBER!?"  His rage was at its peak.  Not only had his one day of relaxation been disturbed, he was now being ignored by those present.  This was absolutely unacceptable for the King!

Haruka was busy nursing his anxieties down. Normally he wasn't so freaked out but it happened so suddenly.

Soft.

As Haruka's mind drifted in far off directions, he noticed that boy from the regional hall, talking to Satoshi. And Cero. Ew. He looked extremely angry too. Maybe they were being loud again. Haruka shrugged, leaning back in his lounge chair. He eyed over towards the shoreline.

Yukino was gorgeous as ever, and then he noticed Hana playing by the edge. Well, playing was used loosely. She was simply in the water, somewhat enjoying herself. She seemed content at the very least. Haruka ended up smiling too, under his scarf. Considering how thin it was, veil was a better word for its purpose at the moment.

Satoshi sighed and shrugged. He wasn't necessarily lying. He had no idea why Yukino had suddenly decided to go to the beach and invite everyone to come along. If anything, he assumed they were all going to get in touch to catch a flight to New York, but that wasn't for a couple days. The fact that he was trying to be pressured into having something he was "up to" when there was really nothing to do...

He heard Cero yell at the top of his lungs. A sweatdrop formed on the back of his head. Somebody pissed off King Europe and was going to get it. He wasn't really interested in going over there while things were acting all hectic. That wasn't really the reason he came to the beach in the first place.

He turned on the stool and looked out at the waves. It really was a nice day...maybe he'd go surfing.

"Hello" Ighanna replied to those greeting her with a bright smile. Today was quite a good day to relax after all, everyone seemed to be chilling their own ways with their souls blank in order to relax. Wave by waves, the salty seawater splashed up ashore, dragging the snow white seashells back into the depths of the ocean.

Haruka was busy nursing his anxieties down. Normally he wasn't so freaked out but it happened so suddenly.

Soft.

After looking at Haruka's maiden-in-love eyes staring intently at Yukino, she began whispering Drake and Rihanna's song.

"I heard you good with them soft lips. Yeah, you know word of mouth. The square root of 69 is 8 some, right. Cause I've been tryna work it out" Ighanna whispered into Haruka's eyes then ran off with a cheeky smirk. She then noticed that someone was quite disturbed by her appearance and so she approached him and apologized for the havoc she caused.

"Oh dear, I didn't know my voice would come out that high of a volume. I apologize for your inconvenience" she said to the mysterious man, 'gosh he was acting like an old man is he 50 or something' she thought. After that she bowed with courtesy and said sorry a few more times even though technically the beach is a public place. Old people theory, she thought.

Sooner, Hana became lost in the soothing crash of the waves. The horizon suggested a world that expended endlessly, with many more mysteries behind it. The water that crashed upon the shore have traveled so far to meet with her. If anything were to be destiny, it would be this moment. With her eyes closed she pictured it, the Bermuda Triangle in the oceans of the Magallanica Nation, they've felt this very feeling. They lived along with the ocean water, the calm that it held, the chaos that it hid, and the infinity possibilities that it was capable of. She opened her eyes once again to see the waves come towards her again, never breaking its rhythm, the endless crashes creating the song of the world. Eventually, Hana's humming became singing as she got lost in the crashing waters. Can they hear her right now? When its like this, it feels like they were right next to her. So the noises were once again just blocked out and she sang...

I was forever a coward,
You were always reckless

Move forward?
Or just give up every thing here?
I wonder, who am I
to have rights for deciding that?
It has been decided from the beginning
that we'd keep moving forward
I begin to ask the God
This isn't a wrong decision, right?

I wonder, since when
has my view towards you changed?
I'd like to be mingled as one
with things reflected in your eyes
Even tough, I also become afraid
about how much difficulties we'd face
But things you've entrusted to me
Those alone, I promise never let them go

I wonder just who am I?
Why do a mere human like me,
must bear a great role
that equals to the God?
I even become fed up
to move forward
Spit out the truth to the God
that I'm tired, and just want to rest

The sudden appearance of Ighanna,... And what she had said, caused Haruka to jump out of his beach chair into the sand. He landed head first, causing a bit of a headache to ensure

"E-Ehh... Hi to you too." He rubbed the back of his head, suddenly hearing a sound. No, not a sound. A voice. It was singing.

At first he thought it was more of Ighanna causing him trouble, but learned quickly that was in fact not the case.

Hana...?

It was faint, but he could hear the voice from his now fallen position. Her voice was in time to sounds of the sea. It was truly a beautiful sound. At first he couldn't make the out the words, but they eventually started to click after awhile. They weren't particularly joyful lyrics, or at least the faint bit he could make out, but the voice singing the song seemed to easily mend the dark mood behind the song.

"Hana..."

He whispered her name, like he normally did when he sort of had something to say but didn't want to disturb the person. Instead he allowed his head to fall back into the sand, laying there. He was tired so here was a decent place to rest until he was needed. He never liked the water anyways.

...

Yukino stood in silence, scowling. While formulating something to say, her phone rang.

"We're ready, Mistress Yukino."

The queen's aggravated trance was broken, finally with the last of the preparations complete. Clamping her phone shut, she called out to Hana to come back to shore.

Before she knew it she was called by Yukino. She wasn't able to finish the song, but it felt nice to let it out. The waves continued regardless of whether she kept on singing or not, their song wasn't over, not by a long shot. As long as the world kept rotating, the winds kept blowing, and the water kept moving, the song of the world would play continuously.

She made her way back into shore, her feet still wet from the water. Feeling the roughness of the dry sand, she took careful steps.
"What is it?"

A cameraman approached Yukino as Hana came over, and the queen smiled. "Good song, but I'm sure you'd want a proper audience", the queen complimented, suggesting that there's more to be had. This was going to be on the fly and the princess would have to improvise, but there was faith in the ability to manage anyway. The employee followed up by speaking of a stage and a prepared stage costume, going on to mention some fans from two months ago waiting to see Isabella again. He pointed out to it and a crowd as the sun was going down.

Yukino wanted to tell her sister that they managed to get this broadcasted to the manager she met, but best not to apply heavy pressure. Hana enjoyed being an idol, so the elder sister wanted her to focus on that: enjoyment.

A man with a camera appeared, talking about something with the Espoirs. As Haruka widened his view a bit from his position, he noticed a crowd. And a stage-

Oh boy.

BELLA was gonna make quite a debut it seemed. Haruka lightly cheered in anticipation. He scooped himself up into the lounge chair to watch, wagging his head like a dog to sand out of his hair.

A dog he was, sometimes. Rustling the last bits out of his hair, he sat patiently waiting for the show to start. He even grabbed candy from his bag, nibbling on a bit of strawberry chocolate sweets.

Hypeeeeeeeee.

Neo was walking toward the beach

"No better place to go then here" He said to himself

Then he noticed Hana and everyone else and a stage being setup so Neo walked up to everyone.

Hey everyone!" Neo said. Whats going on?" Neo asked

Taken to backstage she was quickly escorted into the dressing room. She recognized these workers too, they were the same one from the Summer Festival. All of them were here cheerfully working, but now for her show, where she was set to perform. It was a strange feeling that two months ago she was more or less just a nuisance to these workers as she was a crazy fangirl who was running around the backstage. Well that was, until the end of the show. They all greeted her like an old friend as she walked past them, remembering her closing act from months back and her bravery in standing up for another performer's sake and saving the show. A lot has happened since then.

The dress looked awfully familiar, or rather, it looked like the exact replica of certain Vanguard unit's dress. Well, it was pink frills and ribbons. Penguins everywhere, just like what she wears to the formal Cray Council meetings. It was the dress that was made for her as the Princess of Cray modeled after that worn by Top Idol, Pacifica. The sight of it put her in awe, and then one of the other workers approached her, it was a strange looking object, he held with great care in his hands, but she couldn't tell what it was. She looked onto the mirror as he placed it over her head. It was her tiara, the one that had shattered apart, not put together and placed on her head again.

The make-up crew made quick work and eventually she had changed into the stage costume to preform her role. She stepped out of the dressing room and there he stood, Drake. Drake had flown all the way from the states to come and watch this show, thanking her for the comforting words from last time. In his hands, he held her hat. He gave her a hug and wished her good luck.

Affinity:
Drake: +3

The stage was set and the sound crew gave her a microphone stand as she requested. She wasn't in the mood to dance, at least not as she currently was. She wanted to pierce crowd's hearts in a different way tonight than what a standard idol would do. It's not that she wasn't ready to improvise a dance, but being out in the sea, she realized what would go well with this night, one where waves crashed rhythmically onto the shore and the world felt as if it were standing still. The stars in the sky were in stasis, and the moon that overlooked the beach put a spotlight upon the entire world. If she danced, she would ruin the balanced, but if she sang with all her heart and merged her voice with that of Earth's song, that would be true harmony.

It was the fact that Hana loved the song of Earth played by the sea.
In Cray it was the same, the sea played the songs of that world through Bermuda Triangle, though unlike on Earth, the song of Cray's seas have temporarily come to a hiatus.

The curtains opened and a single spotlight was set onto the center. Last time she performed here, she let out an emotion of happiness in order to keep her sadness, fear, and anger hidden. This time it was the exact opposite. She planned to express herself to this crowd, the convey her emotions through her voice, to share a tale of sadness to them, but it wasn't to hide a single thing. The song would let the crowd dig deep into her heart, the happiness that truly lie within it.

She grasped the microphone in her hands and closed her eyes.
"Hello minna," she waved at them, and said in a quiet voice, "I appreciate you all coming out today, and I remember you guys from last time. My name is Isabella or BELLA and I want to be an up and coming idol."

There was a murmur among the crowd, of course, they recognized her as someone else as well.

She began to look back on her experiences since the last time she took the stage here. She let out a faint smile, "Haha yes, if you guys play Vanguard, I am a fighter for that too," they let out a clap as that's what she showed them last time, a Vanguard fight with a brilliant idol performance.

"I've encountered a lot because of it, from when I first took the stage here, to nationals, to losing and gaining new friends, learning new things, leaving things behind, and eventually ending up here.... I'll sing a song for you all that is from my song... from my kokoro. The experiences I've had and things I've seen and desire to overcome."

It was the song that she sung out by herself. It was what she had sang to the world and now the world will sing with her as she takes the stage, walking the first step towards her dream.

The instrumentals started playing. The drums, the piano, the bass, and the guitar, all in perfect sync with the world. The stars glimmer with the piano's high pitch, the waves crashing on shore matched with the bass guitar's lower octaves. The drums reverberated with the beating of everyone's hearts and the guitarist's strokes traveled with the wind. The one to mix this all into one would be her voice, so she closed her eyes once more and prepared to mix the elements of music together into one. The song of the world played on.

This world would crumble, meet its end
It informs us about that mercilessly

What were you hearing, all alone?
I was dreaming a distant dream

What would you select for the best?
What would you give up?
I wonder, who am I
to have rights for deciding that?
The one I'd choose
has been decided from the beginning
I begin to ask the God,
This isn't a wrong decision, right?

I wasn't all alone
You were always by my side
I'd reach out my hand to you
I've nothing to fear
Even if we have become a monster,
we shall make it through the end together

That day was supposed to be the end.
Yet, have you become even stronger?

I was forever a coward,
You were always reckless

Move forward?
Or just give up every thing here?
I wonder, who am I
to have rights for deciding that?
It has been decided from the beginning
that we'd keep moving forward
I begin to ask the God
This isn't a wrong decision, right?

I wasn't all alone
When I recalled that,
I also found the meaning of life
No matter how much, I'd take it back
Because I've gained courage
the moment I trusted both of my hands

I wonder, since when
has my view towards you changed?
I'd like to be mingled as one
with things reflected in your eyes
Even tough, I also become afraid
about how much difficulties we'd face
But things you've entrusted to me
Those alone, I promise never let them go

I wonder just who am I?
Why do a mere human like me,
must bear a great role
that equals to the God?
I even become fed up
to move forward
Spit out the truth to the God
that I'm tired, and just want to rest

I heard a voice, was asking me
that a person I've been trusting
is a person with such attitude
Because I heard it,
as if someone else's matters
on the contrary, it has led me to desperation

I wasn't all alone
It seems that thing I've grasped
within my hand is the actual proof
Throw this weakness off,
Even if we have become a monster,
we shall make it back home together

Hana's song was gorgeous.

Satoshi was still sitting at the snack bar, but he had noticed the crowd gathering at a stage that got assembled. Hana got to sing, and her voice was absolutely beautiful. As the rest of the audience cheered and clapped, he too clapped. Maybe this is why Yukino had everyone gathered: she wanted to give her sister a great audience, in addition to enjoying a casual day at the beach.

Sweet of her, really, considering what had happened recently---

Thinking of the lyrics in conjunction with those memories made his mood drop immediately. Was Hana still struggling with the fact that so many demands had been placed on her because her older sister had failed in some regards? How was it that Yukino had gotten out of her depression so strongly? He hadn't really gotten the chance to talk to either of them since the younger sister left while her senior had been briefly stuck in the Rift.

Satoshi sighed and ordered another basket of fries. Despite the concert, everything he was trying not to think about had wound back and made him feel rough. Hopefully this funk would leave soon, but he really didn't feel like he could go over to the group at this point, even if they felt he belonged.

Satoshi looked out over the water. The past 24 hours had been ones of reflection. Going to dinner with Hana and Haruka and their friends wasn't too bad. Even the Floor Monkey, the person who had given Yukino an awful time, seemed like a pretty reasonable and nice kid, for what it was worth. It was kind of unfortunate the whole group didn't go together (he had been interested in meeting Seifer's companion a bit), but nevertheless, the steak he had was pretty decent. He would've ordered more, but most of the dinner was conversation and good tidings, something that wasn't very frequent with him as of late.

He sat cross-legged in the sand in his old tanktop. The coat was still very much a thing and more of a permanent part of his attire, but that didn't necessarily mean it had to stay on all the time. This was what he used to wear consistently when he played Neo Nectar, and even though those days were gone, it felt nice to relive the good memories at the beach, at least just a little bit.

He sighed. Well, yeah, it was only a little bit, because the past also brought a little pain with it. He wondered what Yukino was up to, but he felt like texting wouldn't reach her. He also felt like maybe prodding at Hana or Haruka, but their days were probably up as well. So he sat and waited. Maybe someone would show up, who knows.

Flat on his back at the beach, Satoshi's head was throbbing. What in the world was going on with him? Why was his mind so incredibly unstable recently? Why did he not trust these people to know him?

...But there wasn't anyone he could turn to. Hana and Haruka were far from caring these days; they had their own friends. Yukino was on a mission. Seifer and Rosalia were doing their own thing, and putting his problems on new friends, like the voice had said, wasn't good. Locking them away...

But keeping things bundled up were only making him convulse more on the ground. This wasn't right. What was happening?...He couldn't take it anymore.

Satoshi whipped out his phone and sent a message.

Snow Flower, I'm sorry. When you're done interacting with Seifer...can you come to the beach? Something happened recently that I can't tell him because he wants nothing to do with it. If you can't, I understand...

He put his phone on standby and let the arm flop back down. Tears were in his eyes. This pain was unreal.

"Satoshi?"

Satoshi sighed. Good, she got the message. There were a lot of things he could think to say. Like, "Sorry, I'm an idiot and left you and Seifer back there," or, "Sorry for the super awkward dinner, I know that things aren't the same as they used to be," or anything.

But instead...

"A black ring." He closed his eyes, recounting the experience once again, shaking a little before breathing out again. "A little more than a day ago, I saw a black ring, I went unconscious, and the next thing I knew, I was on my floor, and I had very nearly destroyed my room." He held a hand up to his face. He was wearing gloves today specifically to cloak his broken and bruised knuckles. He slipped one of the gloves off and showed his damaged hand to Yukino.

"Tell me why the hell this is happening to me."

"Invaders are coming to kill us all, and they've marked you for some reason", Yugure was rather blunt with her warning. She desired to avoid the subject entirely since Satoshi didn't seem emotionally ready to deal with it, but seeing what he saw and destroying his room wasn't a good sign. A bad sign that linked with what was coming.

"I'm marked?..."

Satoshi should've been scared out of his mind. To hear that from his friend...he was likely going to be on the wrong side of her mission if this was the case. Did it really have to be this way?

He closed his eyes again, thinking it over. He wanted to run away from it, but the phrase he heard and had kept hearing, over and over, suddenly made him change his mind. Locking away his fear, another problem of his, he, turned his head and looked up at Yukino.

"What should I do?"

Being blunt about it was most likely not the best way to have gone about saying it. Yugure was actually expressing shock and had no idea what in the hell was happening to Satoshi. A black ring was a mark of an enemy, and she'd stab herself in the foot before turning a sword on him. When asked what to do, a solution wasn't present in mind. Folding arms, the brain of the Chosen Sword raced through possibilities. They all ended up the same: they wanted him. They were reaching out to Neo Nectar's champion.

Why?

"I'm..."

Could she even be honest in saying she's not sure? That'd just make things worse...

Shutting her eyes, teeth were clenched, hands balled up into fists. There was no vocal answer beyond an infuriated growl.

Satoshi saw Yukino's face contort at that question. That face of a soldier with the heart of a maiden, deep down somewhere. The same sort of reaction came out of Fortuna, so to see that she was reacting that way wasn't uncommon, either. He sat up and extended his hand to her.

"Listen, it's okay if you can't tell me. Fortuna couldn't, either. I feel like I'm not being told something huge, something beyond me." He gave a weak smile. "And it's frustrating to know I can't be told, and watch decent people stuck in hesitation over it. But it's fine. Just for a bit...sit with me, though."

He couldn't be alone tonight, even if he wanted to.

"... I'm sorry", was all she could offer. Staying here with him was something still within her power. Yugure heeded his plea, walking past him to find a place to sit. Though, her thoughts still focused on trying to find a solution - anything possible.

He stared out at the water, thinking of things to talk about that weren't the situation, maybe to clear both of their heads.

"So, uh...have you seen Haruka and Hana since you've been back? I meant to ask you at dinner, but I figured you hadn't been home long enough."

It took several moments for Yugure to respond, as she was lost; staring into space. When hearing him, the soldier responded immediately: "I've seen them both and went to the park with Hana today. I still haven't spoken to Haruka in private yet."

Maybe tomorrow, Haruka will see her...
Title: Re: (GS3) Field: Beach

Satoshi bit his lip a little. Actually, those two were people he hadn't spoken to in a while, which is why he was curious about a bit more detail than just the monotonic responses Yukino was giving.

He tugged at her arm a little. "Hey. I know you're worried now, but I'm still here. As long as I'm still here, don't let this bother you, alright? Maybe Fortuna will report something at the next Council of Cray meeting that helps getting better preparations together."

He went from tugging to a gentle touch. He didn't want to give a romantic impression at all, because Haruka was too ingrained in her for that to be the case ever---

Actually, another thought crossed his mind. His brows lowered a bit as he thought of it, and he wasn't intending to speak his mind out loud, but...

"They've been around each other a lot recently. They seem pretty happy." He sat next to her, still gripping her arm so she knew it was still him that was there. "I know they both missed you."
Title: Re: (GS3) Field: Beach
Post by: Cherry on September 21, 2015, 05:16:02 AM
Yugure gripped at her arms, seeming a bit furious with the comment "I'm still here". Telling him why that gives no comfort wouldn't make sense, and she just kept it to herself. Giving a sigh, "It's my job to let it bother me" came out of her mouth. A warrior and a friend - both of these roles meant dealing with this problem fell under assigned duty. If the Cray Council could figure something out this time, she'd sure love to hear about it. Possibly restore a bit of hope in winning.

Haruka and Hana seeing each other so much didn't cross her mind as anything odd. The woman enjoyed knowing her boyfriend took care of the princess and bettered his relationship with the family.

"Missed me, huh?" Yugure said, tone filled with distant disbelief. Despite looking as if she had fun, Hana rushed off quickly after their day in the park. Haruka... was busy. Just busy, they wanted to believe. Unlike them, she was more of a realist - a pessimist.

"Yeah. We all did." Satoshi noticed her distance in matters was making Yukino cold to his touch. He sighed. It's not like he could really convince her things were going to be fine otherwise. Last time he had tried, she had severed himself off from the rest of the world and had almost killed herself jumping off of King Europe's structure.

"Though, I guess I'm no expert, either." He gave the best little laugh he could muster. "I haven't spent much time with either of them since I've been back...they've seemed so happy, they don't need me anymore." To a degree, he could understand some of the pessimistic "I shouldn't be here" thoughts that Yukino was likely experiencing. Maybe she didn't think the same because they had different experiences, but even so.

"They made it through the year with moving forward. That's admirable in itself... Doesn't mean I have to be okay with it", Yugure mumbled that last bit to herself. It's to be expected, but it was hard accepting those two in particular felt far away. She herself was far away as it was. ... Maybe they simply moved on to the point of not caring? A departure with or without silence could result in that, especially considering how she acted toward Hana.

... The past Yukino was a prime example of human scum, so Yugure had to be better. As far as the soldier was concerned, not saddling a multitude of personal problems on others is a step in doing better already. A little smirk of pride in this progress was given.

"You can move forward without leaving people behind."

This whole "moving forward" thing had been bothering Satoshi, and that was what he had come to regarding it. It's not that it was wrong to go towards the future, but to completely leave people down and away...how was that remotely fair or reasonable?

Satoshi sighed at her uncertainty. Best response he was going to get out of her, considering the circumstances.

He stared out at the waves, mind traveling back to the whole "being marked" thing. It was a situation he couldn't avoid, and there wasn't much he could say to the contrary that would escape it. He figured he may as well just say some more details about it.

"...I've been hearing a voice since last year, since we were at PSY Shop and saw what Neu Edelweiss did. This voice was the same voice that spoke to me when I saw the black ring. It told me to 'lock away my problems.'" He shook his head. "Odd as it sounds, I've been putting stuff on others as if it's really their responsibility, but it isn't quite that way, is it?" He knew she was likely to say that as the Chosen Sword, it was her duty to protect those she cared about, yadda yadda, but honestly, had she given a damn, even if she called him his friend, that what happened to him happened? Did it change her outcomes at all?

The voice spoke again, trying to dissuade him, a soft hiss in the background. "Leave her..."

"Do not heed anything the voice says. Putting off responsibility on others only adds on to what you'll have to do yourself eventually."

While Yugure was content with trying to help Satoshi's problems beyond the dream, that voice was going to have to be dealt with. A number of paladins forewarned her that a sword won't be able to stab it, but the bloodthirsty knight didn't believe them for a second.

Satoshi blinked. "That's...not what I meant. I meant that the voice was telling me not to put my problems on others." Come to think of it, if that was the case...was the voice actually giving bad advice?

---

At some point, he had fallen asleep on the beach, and Yukino had left. He rubbed his eyes, only to yelp a bit because of the sand he accidentally put in. While he felt like he didn't really get through to her very much, which seemed like a pretty common trend between the two of them, it was good to know that underneath that somewhat robotic demeanor, one of his best friends was still very much his friend and wanted to help him, even if she couldn't explain how.

Slighly reassured, even in the light of knowing he was marked, Satoshi got to his feet and started to walk back home. He had some thinking to do before he proceeded with his day.

It was always the beach when it came down to it, wasn't it? Today, Satoshi stared out at the ocean, arms folded. The past several days had been ones of observation and getting Reversed fighters to start the push for a world dominated by the disciples of the black rings.

That wasn't really the goal, though. The goal was to determine who the Seed was and fall behind him or her, as was per the directive of the invaders. The problem with that goal was that the Seed was much more elusive than expected; even with the dwindling number of sane people in Japan, the Seed was nowhere to be found. Further indication from other countries beared no results, either.

It was a real struggle. The Seed was the true general. Cheru---and by proxy, Satoshi--- was just a captain in charge of informing the Seed of their success so that the invasion could reach its greatest potential. But when the seed was hard to find, matters had to be taken into their own hands.

Luckily, the number of Reversed lieutenants was rising at a steady pace, and the world was mobilizing in acceptance of this fate. Bar a select few, of course, but there was always going to be someone who rebelled against the direction of the world.

Even so...Satoshi looked through his phone. It had been a while since he had contacted any of these people, and it was likely most of them would no longer wish to stay in contact when they found out what he was to this whole thing. Yet, the intense aura most of the bearers of Link Joker and the Reverse had wasn't shared by him. It would of course start to build up once again when the invasion was on the cusp of being a full-fledged success, but for now...Nebula Lord gave stability.

Emotions Satoshi was set to feel at times were not exactly intense, even if they appeared so. This was due to Nebula's influence; it was an emotionless being, who was following directives as necessitated, despite being placed in a position of leadership. Cheru was the yang to Nebula's yin; she was instructed to tie herself to Nebula as a full package, so that the robotic intonations of the dragon did not cause stress within its bearer.

Settling attention back to the phone, Nebula's vassal passed over Yugure Espoir's contact information. She would be important to negotiate with, considering the situation. He was about to type out a message, but then...

He scrolled over to Seifer Leo instead.

Is there a chance I can talk to you? I'm at the beach. If you're worried about a safe route through all of this, don't worry. I've got it.

Summoning the bartender of the snack bar on the beach, who was also most certainly reversed, Satoshi gave his order.

"One order of fries, please. And when you're done, I need you to direct the Reversed on the path to the beach away. It's important."

The bartender chuckled and nodded. "As you wish, Sir."

Well Seifer made his way here. Odd enough it was clear as day on the path here, though he was told it would be. Still, didn't hurt to be cautious at all. In any case, the brunette made his way to the bar shack that was settled so perfectly on the beach, waiting for the person who called him out here to show themselves. It was rather quiet as well, same eerie feeling as a horror movie. Sad to say though, Seifer was starting to grow accustomed to the atmosphere of it all. Leaning back against the bar he waited with eyes half shut, the mark glowing a bright crimson.

"You sure it was a good idea to come alone?" Mordred's voice rang out in the silence of his mind. Seifer gave a soft sigh just nodding. "I couldn't very well just involve Rose in this. And I just hope I got out without anyone else seeing me. It'd be... Difficult... To explain my reasoning for this, a-" "It's fine, I just wanted to be sure you thought you could handle this with that... Thing... Still there in your heart." Mordred cut him off mid sentence, and Seifer stayed quiet. He really didn't have an answer for him.

Satoshi was right there, eating fries. Maybe it was the sunglasses that made him not stick out so clearly.

Seifer gratefully, albeit hesitantly, took some, nodding his thanks before standing and putting his hands in his jacket's pockets, staring at Satoshi. It was pretty easy for him to tell who it was, even with the sunglasses, though didn't notice him right off since he didn't realize the other male would be sitting there at the bar waiting for him. That and his attention was on Rosalia for a moment, so he kind of just... Zoned out bad but... "Sorry I didn't notice you at first. And I guess sorry I'm late. It was a pretty long walk here." he commented, taking note of the shades. Odd. Why would he? While it was a nice day, it was still kind of cloudy.

"Peaceful, I'm guessing. Good, I wanted to make sure of that."

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the crimson mark on Seifer's face. A second mark didn't mirror it on the other side...was he somehow only half-Reversed? Strange. Then again, he wasn't exactly reversed in the same fashion, either. The Heart Lock imposed on him had made his hand burn with the twin black rings, and his eyes were marked similarly to demonstrate his tie to them. That was primarily why he kept his eyes covered except mid-game, when Nebula Lord came out to impose judgment.

That said, it was fairly clear that his companion's mind was elsewhere, so he turned on the stool. "Is something troubling you?" His marked hand now sat next to the container of fries.

"Mostly just sorry that I left where I did, but I felt this necessary to come out for. Which begs the question." the brunette trailed off staring at Satoshi out of the corner of his eyes. He seemed normal but that was just a facade. He couldn't put his finger on why and yet, he just felt he knew his current companion was doing a charade. "Why did you call me out here??"

The ever-important question. "Well, I wanted to ask you if you knew the location of something I'm looking for. But before that, I may as well do you a favor, first."

He slipped his sunglasses off of his face and into his fingers with his eyes closed for a moment, opening them to reveal the symbols within the irises. The twin rings glowed gently.

"I'm looking for something...or, I guess someone...known as the Seed. That's been the purpose of most of the Reversing that's been going on recently." He gestured with his hand sheepishly. "Some of them turned out a bit more violent and aggressive than anticipated, but that's just how Earth's population works, isn't it?"

He shook his head. "Cero had some sort of assumption that the Reversed are out to harm everyone and potentially even kill them. It sounded familiar to something Yugure said a while ago. I'm going to guess you all are working together. That's grand." His brow furrowed. "With that said, I gave you a simple path to me to ask you if you knew of the Seed. If you do, I must make contact with it. If not, that's okay. Either way, you're free to go. I'm not going to keep you here for anything more than that."

Seifer stared back at the male, keeping eye contact, his own eyes turning crimson through Mordred's influence on his physical body. That and they were pretty much the same person. He wasn't intimidated, even if that wasn't the intention of the gesture. Quietly though he shrugged shaking his head. "If you think I know based on this..." Seifer traced the mark down the side of his own face. "You're mistaken. I don't remember anything from that night sad to say. Well, that's a lie. I remember four voices, though I can't place who they belong to." he placed a hand on the side of his head looking out at the ocean. "Every time I try to think about it, my head just starts hurting. ...I'm not sure what your intentions are, but investigate the park and train station I suppose. I vaguely remember those locations for some reason." when he turned his attention back to Satoshi, his eyes had reverted to their regular blue.

The train station...that was a place Satoshi had put off observing, if only because there was little need to from what he understood. Still, perhaps some details required observation. He nodded.

"I merely asked because of the people in my contact list, you were the most likely, in my opinion, to not respond in an aggressive manner." He waved his phone in his hand. "I was considering messaging Yugure, but revealing something such as this to her would likely not bode well."

He scratched his chin. "Then again, I'm not exactly bothered if you tell her and the others where you've been. If anything, finding the Seed is key to your success as well as mine." He chuckled. "Funny, I guess I'm sort of giving away the grand scheme of things by saying so, aren't I?" Shaking his head again, he returned to a more serious look, getting up from the stool.

"When I find the Seed, and it awakens or has already awakened, the invasion will be one step away from being a complete success. Keep that in mind." He turned, then paused for a moment. There was something else he was thinking of...

Oh, right.

"There's one other thing you should know, and it's about the Reversal of Cray." He pointed up to the sky with an arm, mostly to stretch but also to gesture. "Humanity's unreversal is one thing, but Cray's requires the cleansing of this same Seed. So if you were wondering why some of the Reverse lingers in people...there you go."

He placed his sunglasses back on his face and walked off. "You'd better get back soon. My manipulation of those Reverse fighters isn't going to last forever, you know."

Seifer gave a soft but confident smile. "Appreciate the concern, but whether or not they can stand a chance against me right now isn't a question. They'd all fall like flies." What was that just now? Seifer didn't understand his own response but it came out that way. And that's now how he'd usually talk. In any case, he gave a casual wave before turning on his heel to walk away. "While our end goals may be the same, let's just hope you don't cross me on the battlefield Satoshi." It was both a warning, and speaking out of concern for both of their well beings.

"Are... You okay? You seem kind o-" "Crazy?" "N... No... Just, off..." "Oh. I'm fine. ...No need to worry about me at all."

The waves were crashing, gently, in and then out. The ebb and flow reaching the orange-glowing specks of sand that encompassed the entire shoreline. Haruka sat on the shoreline in his trunks and white t-shirt, feet in water as it raced back and forth. The sea foam left traces around his feet; a bubbly white.

"You really are a piece of work Sera."

And you aren't?

"You killed me, you know? I wonder how I can't hate you right now..."

I wonder that myself.

Silence. Haruka and Sera sat on the beach staring at the horizon line. The sun was setting so peacefully, despite that beyond the horizon laid masses of invaders and creatures ready to rain hell on this world. Only a few days left before they showed up. Haruka was torn. Not that he wanted to help Sera and his forces but he quite literally was the weaker half at the moment, and unable to completely stop him. It was a problem he had developed after, well, dying. These things happen when you die, you know.

He shook his head, laying back in the sack, letting his toes sink into the wet sand and reveling in the cool breeze from the sea, amplified by the thin warmth setting sun had provided. Night time was well approaching now... Best to get some rest soon. But something was racing through his head

The Raven, Hana. Sera knew she was reversed, but why? How? These thoughts ran through a few times before deciding that he wasn't going to find the answer by running in those circles. Didn't matter now anyways, she was on their side.

Haruka was on the opposite side of the spectrum, missing Yukino over and over as his heart kept the cycle of grief moving. He couldn't just go see her, or Sera might take control and cause trouble with her. Even arms' length was too close. Shouting distance? Maybe... But he was fearful. This was far enough. Where she couldn't just find him like 'that.' He stared up, shakily breathing, dialing a message to everyone he had in his contact list.

Re: I'm So Sorry - Darren, Rose, Hananana~, Noel, Sky, Yukinoms<3, SeiferBoysss, Tsubaka, Butler-san, Kingoftheunderground, Neo-bodyguardstatus, HeyYoShiki, Uncle Toshi-ki(?)

...

Haruka couldn't find what to write in this message. His hand shook. So instead he just gulped and sent the empty message, leaving only the tag-line open. He proceeded to stare back up. Darkness had consumed the sky all too swiftly. The falling sun was all too gorgeous to remain anyways...

The distorted figure, along with his hazy "partner" - Chaos Breaker Dragon walked down the beach line, and one after another people dropped on the sand unconsious only to rise shortly after as part of the Reverse. A suprisingly large amount, given the state of chaos most of the city was in and yet there they were, enjoying the beach as if it's just your normal everyday life.

After a while, a large group of the Reverse was formed which upon being given an order from the Figure, started to cause utter havoc on the beach, destroying poor sand castles and knocking everything over. It didn't take long for the beach to turn into a place of complete destruction too.

Pinpointing Chaos Breaker was simple - look out for a concentrated amount of Void, and then determine how many power sources it came with. The Clown always seemed to work away form the other commanders, cackling as his presence reigned death by himself. The reason why the other generals didn't go near him? Who cares? Yugure saw him as one of the titans of evil that had to be slain. More and more infected readings came off from reports at HQ, figuring the Beach was under the jester's control.

Yugure, entering the scene, witnessed the zombie apocalypse. While Reversed mobs acted like the undead of movies, these people seemed legitimately the exact same. There was barely fighting with cards, just destruction of the area. Snack bars were trampled over and stolen from, beach equipment was being wrecked, and sand castles born of bonds and friendship were decimated. Such evil could not be overlooked.

Well okay, the sand castle part doesn't actually matter.

A group witnessed the girl, and didn't hesitate in trying to swarm a candidate for the clown's growing puppet army. Summoning Blaster Dark, the claymore slashed forth, conjuring a gust of wind that blew the people out of the way without touching them. Dealing with these masses can wait, the ringleader needed to die first.

Raging Form popped up behind her, roaring a challenge: "Chaos Breaker!! Vile scourge, I have come to duel with thee to the death!"

The Figure was just about to leave, literally prepared to do one of those super-human long jumps people seem to pull out of nowhere until he heard what sounded like multiples of his grunts screaming, and as he turned around what he saw was exactly that, they have been downed by a single person wielding an actual sword.

He turned around to face her, not even flinching at the sight of a huge dragon appearing out of nowhere. The Figure started to walk forward the girl, his arms spread out with one of them spinning his scythe as if it was a simple stick.

"Oh? Are you yet another of those wannabes who thinks they can just win in a cardgame and make a difference? If you also live in that big lie, we can have a game if it makes you feel better about yourself. Not like I have anything paticulary important to do at the moment."

Neu walked into the beach in order to end her day in a relaxing way. The and people getting blown away were just what she was expecting. Two figures a few feet or so away from her had actual weapons out.

ACTUAL WEAPONS!

She set up an umbrella in order to protect herself from the blood splatter, taking food from a reverse fighter who just stole from the snack bar and just so happened to run by. She also build a sand castle while she was at it before sitting down under the shade and hoping that someone dies here.

Chaos Breaker's wielder made himself known... itself...? Herself? Yugure could barely make out the figure being human. Seeing the distortion... this Void was beyond what they had ever seen. Was it even Chaos Breaker doing this? Such warping was only thought possible by Sera, judging by how Overlord destroyed soil with its presence alone. ... This wasn't the time to start making inquiries, as the soldier was out for blood. The clown's owner will simply revert to a normal state once he himself is dead.

"Card... game...?"

It was obvious the figure spoke of Vanguard, but nobody even brought up the notion of fighting with the game here.

"You sound as if you want it more than me."

They did have a massive Abyss Dragon and a heinous Cyber Dragon here. Not like she was against it to utilize the Reality Bangle, but why did the figure talk about it like that?

Wait, did they have Grade 3 units out without playing the game? It made sense for the evil looking guys since that's pretty menacing and evil.

Anyways, Neu chewed on a taco and tuna sandwich while sipping on some vodka. She threw up her fist in the air.

"Play the f@$&#ing game or put the units away!" She screamed like an angry audience member, but also because it might have been a rule, maybe one that had been restated multiple times.

She added to her memo book:
"Write the commandments when get home."

There.

The Figure stopped, he was now standing close enough to be within the reach of Yugure's blade, and she was within the reach of his scythe (Because we all know those are longer).

"A Tsundere type character huh?" He asked.. well, himself as his head was invaded by flashbacks to the District and the person that seemed like he was ready to fight, yet still chose to resort to a card game. A real disappointment.

"I already got a taste of how you people operate. Even if you try to look tough with that sword of yours it's not like you can handle real combat."

A platform manifested itself between the two and split itself in half, each of which moved closer to the figure and Yukino to be within their arm's reach. And ofcourse, it was a platform to play Vanguard on.

"Put your tsundere-ness aside and then put that deck of yours on this platform. If you defeat me in this cardgame surely all this evil energy will go away and you'll be the savior of all those poor innocent people. Right?"

Yugure and Raging Form felt alike in terms of anger right now. The Clown was clearly having his friend make fun of them. Tsundere-ness? She's not even the one making the challenge for the game. Something about this distorted being pissed her off, something familiar too. The knight very much had real combat and would've taken a jab had Mordred not calmed her down. "Just humor him", the phantom suggested. "Regardless of how you do it, you'll get the blood you want if you win anyway."

That's right, the Chosen Sword was out to kill. Being a savior had nothing to do with it, it was simply her job to have humanity survive. Along with having Link Joker pay for what they've done to both planets.

Submitting to this ridiculous farce of a challenge, Revengers were placed down on the void-powered platform.

The game was fine... Why was he so condescending about the challenge, when she isn't even the one who suggested cards though?!

Once again, his opponent used Revengers, however this time the figure wasn't at such amazing advantage from the very start, even if it managed to stay at the lower damage for the entire fight and never take any damage after the fourth enabling Chaos Breaker Dragon's Limit Break.

Even if Yukino managed to defend herself turn after turn and went as far as to pull a miracle heal her fall was unavoidable.

"Oh man, I got you good. You people can't accomplish anything even with a safe card game. But I guess luck is a factor too eh? Well whatever, my job is done." he declared, and quickly grabbed his scythe, swinging it at the distracted girl, going straight into her heart and infecting the poor girl with the Reverse.

"I won't lie, I hate this game.. but it's a really wonderful distraction, don't you think? Works literally everytime. You guys just sit there, thinking you're safe from harm behind that table, and then boom." after pulling the scythe out of Yukino's body he started to walk away from the Beach, probably towards his next target.

Revengers fought against Star-vaders, and the most unexpected thing happened: they never got to retire one another. Raging Form fought with his might, and yet, his Persona Burst never came. That was no reason for anyone to start giving up, however. The Star-vaders got a massive lead, and the assassination corps found themselves struggling. Blaster Dark, who was usually cocky and prepared, actually found himself in a pinch with everyone. Yugure didn't allow Chaos Breaker's Limit Break to happen for as long as possible, and taking advantage of how his fighter was lacking in hand. Unfortunately, the clown kept laughing, triggers flooding in, and even heals that couldn't activate.

The warning Darren gave came true. Chaos Breaker's lock was unlike any other invader. When units were locked, they never resurfaced. His Limit Break broke the lock and the one who was locked. An absolute horror for Cray's resistance, seeing their comrades never come back out in one peace.

Even Yunos was subject to this wicked power, being stabbed by the jester's scythe.

Yugure managed to successfully activate the Reality Bangle, however, calling Healing Revenger as her sixth damage check. It functioned properly enough to force a miracle instead of hoping for one. Even so, as a prototype, it's prowess wasn't able to carry through the entire game. The jester couldn't reach, the Chosen Sword didn't know how to give up. A Critical swing didn't either. However, being short on guard, the last of three attacks got her. Raging Form was gone.

Yugure couldn't even say or react before the scythe hit. No blood, no death, but it may as well have been. Void seeped into the girl's heart, corroding her. There was laughter echoing in mind. This time for sure, she was done for. Unlike Hana, this joker had no mercy nor pity. Being Reversed was possibly one of the worst things that could ever happen, seeing as not only was her soul connected to a human being, but she had another name.

Exculpate the Blaster.

That was now in the hands of the invaders. Yugure let loosed choked coughs and screams of agony as markings appeared under her eyes in the shape of swords. "Aaaaaghn!" The woman flashed into an image of that very Vanguard unit, and the black ring formed itself onto her. Internally, she begged it to stop, as she couldn't speak actual words. Everything was beginning to go dark, the sights of fallen and locked comrades being drowned out by the black and red sea of void.

No...!

They got her-

"Holy Dispel Scissors."

Arms reached out from behind as if pulling in for an embrace. However, said arms had enormous, steel cutters equipped. These unusual weapons clamped down onto the Black Ring, and then proceeded to keep doing so in a flurry. Crack, after crack, after crack until the spell cast upon her was undone - the ring exploded. Exculpate's Reversing was halted, by the appearance of... of a lion.

"Ezel?!" The king, conscious knights, and Yugure called out. The caped, lion hero had returned, successfully keeping his best friend out of the hands of evil. His cape renewed, armor redone, and glorious mane shining more brightly than ever before... Responding to all his allies with a smile, he proceeded to roar. A roar reached the heavens, blowing away clouds that blocked the future of the sky. The warrior's hair emitted a blinding light, showering the beach with his awestriking majesty. Reversed masses... felt warm. As if the heavy chains of Link Joker were being pulled off very gently and harmlessly.

"Be free! And you, get lost!" Ezel shouted at those who got back their own consciousness. Then, yelling at the clown, plating of his armor began resonating with the light of his mane. Puffing out his unrivaled, defined chest, all of the holy energy launched itself at the scythe wielding duo. During it, the lion clutched onto his best friend, who was still in utter shock and disbelief that he returned to her.

Neu looked at Ezel and was pretty sure that her whole development in New York was for this one card. Better go get Monarch too, maybe pick up a Kagero deck and get Nouvelle Vague while she's at it. No blood was spilled so she gave the show a solid 2/10 and walked off.

Their back was turned towards the fallen Yukino, fully expecting that she'd simply rise as another of the Reverse. Sadly, that was not the case. They didn't even realize it untill a beam of pure light pierced Chaos Breaker's chest. Even with the distortion covering his figure, it was easy to figure out the expression on his face - pure shock and disbelief, Chaos Breaker wasn't even there in person, it was just a simple ghost hovering over this mysterious figure, as if he was a puppet master, and yet he got hit and harmed. Both Chaos Breaker's ghost and the figure stood there frozen in shock, reacting only after the beam fully disappeared.

They both moved in exactly the same way, as if one entity, grabbing the spot on their body where Chaos Breaker took the hit, in the dragon's case there was a hole in his body and some blood leaking. In the Figure's case, the distortion in that region started to shatter, falling off like pieces of glass revealing a part of a human body and what seemed to be a black uniform, in panic they looked back seeing that Yukino wasn't even Reversed.

"But.. you.. how.. I pierced your heart.. this shouldn't be happening!" the figure yelled at her in confusion and anger. The distortion covering his body quickly regenerated followed by him running off.

The Reverse face-marking slowly vanished from Yugure's face. Breathing heavily in a waning panic and shock, even sweating, the queen looked up at the lion. The confused masses were in a daze, so no one really paid attention to them. There were a mountain of questions to throw at Ezel. A lot of which the King and Yugure shared. However, Alfred stated that a massive number of knights that had been locked in the battle against Chaos Breaker... were still alive and unsealed.

"What... did you..."

"A little trick I picked up from the Messiah."

That was definitely the same lion from a year ago. The cocky one who discovered friendship came over duty in terms of drive, and fought to bring back everyone lost. This same idiot that started getting carefree when he began getting close to people on Earth. There were hugs. Lots of hugs from Yugure and Ezel.

"You... Where have you been?!" The queen cuddled up to the strong man of a friend holding her up. Beaming and grinning were plastered over their faces.

"Nowhere in particular. Just snippin'!" Ezel responded jokingly, his scissor weapons pinching the air to emphasize his stupid pun. Dumb giggles and laughs were had over this buffoon of a knight. Even the king found himself chuckling. The lion placed a card in his friend's hand: Nation Saving Lion, Grand Ezel Scissors. Using her power would have to come in a little bit. With a big smile, Ezel lifted up his queen, carrying her bridal style.

"O-Oh..."

"Seeing everyone suffer when I couldn't do anything... I took a leave of absence, which is why you couldn't hear me. I didn't leave to run away. I left to find an answer. And thanks to the Messiah, along with my belief in the future Tsubasa summoned... and of course, my desire to help you, I found one. The same power me as the Lion Emperor and the Messiah of the future used to free the heroes: Unlock."

Ezel jumped, leaping away with his vanguard in arms.
