First, I am not Officially involved with BF Area at all.
Quite a while back, I began to make a Port of the BF Area for personal use. One of my kids told me that someone else in the Buddyfight Wiki Community needed to use a Mac in a Tournament so I put up a few Tutorials on How to make a Port on your own on YouTube.
Later, it proved easier to simply make a Port as a Standalone App so that people didn't have to go through the process on their own. Below is a link to download the Zip file. Basically, you treat it as a standard Mac App. Unzip and Open it Up. If you receive the "Unidentified Developer" error, then you can override that by holding the Control Button Down and then Opening the App, or Right Clicking and doing the same (for Trackpad 2 fingers). I run El Capitan on my Macs and the only time I have heard of it not working is on 10.5, which I am seeing if I can remedy, but as we are now at 10.11 and I have heard of no other issues, I'm cautiously optimistic that it will work on the other OS X Versions. I am currently working on a way to make Updates automatic for Mac Users so that they can keep their decks from one version to another without having to Show the Contents of the App and find the right files. It's not a big deal to do if you're used to it, but faster is always better anyway.
Also, please note: The Mac App is a little larger than the Windows Version as I had to include Windows Components in the Port. I was able to strip it down from 750MB to around 500MB, but that's where it stands now.
