  • Clan Mixing is not allowed! (Exceptions including Blaster Dark in Majesty Lord Blaster and Reverse Units & Dragonic Overlord The Rebirth in Glendios.)
  • 1 Mulligan Rule (You're allowed to mulligan ONLY ONCE at the start of the match).
  • Match Types: Best of 3!
  • The results of all matches should be posted on this thread by the winner like this: For Single Tournament (https://prnt.sc/gutwm5) or For Team/Tag Tournaments (http://prntscr.com/ebranm).
  • Any disconnections from a game due to error message (with proof provided) is warranted a rematch if it's the first one. Otherwise, disconnections are treated as a game loss and any further disconnections are considered an instant match loss towards the disconnected player. (Exceptions being if the entire server disconnects and multiple participants have disconnected.)
  • After a round has started, you have ten minutes to begin your cardfight. If you are not present for your fight after ten minutes, your opponent can call Tardiness and you will be given a Match Loss.
    • Additionally, it is encouraged to ping your late opponent within the Cardfight Area Discord Server, but doing so is not mandatory as it is their responsibility for showing up to the tournament.
  • If you do not make any legitimate movements for more than 5 minutes, your opponent can call Stalling and recieve a Game Loss. You cannot be away from your fight for more than 5 minutes unless you inform your opponent that you need to step away from the match. In addition you can only step away from a fight twice. If more, than your opponent can call Stalling and you'll recieve a Game Loss.
  • ** Updated Rule ** A round will be given an hour for players to fight before advancing to the next round. In 45 five minutes after a round has started, if fights are still in progress, at the end of that turn, the player with most damage loses the game.
    • If both players damage are equal, they will go into Time - in which both players will be given an additional turn. At the end of each turn, the player with the most damage loses the game. If both player's damages are equal during Time, both will recieve a Game Loss.
    • If both players were playing their first game during Time, score being 0-0, the player who wins the game will be declared the winner of the match. If both players received a Game Loss, they will start the next game under Sudden Death - at the end of each turn, the person with the highest damage loses.
  • All players must be cardfighting during the round unless your match has finished. If a player has not finished their match and is watching a separate match, then it is considered Stalling and will recieve a game loss.
  • Announce the distribution of effects! (i.e. Any unit that obtains a critical effect or would via skills or critical triggers must be brought to the opponents knowledge.) 1st Offense is a warning, second offense is a game loss.
  • No deck changing/editing under any circumstances whatsoever!
    • If you are caught using an illegal deck, you will be disqualified from the tournament.
  • Any moves, illegal or lack of moves, that alter the game to an irreversible state may be reported. If reported, the game will end and the offender will be given a Game Loss and proceed to the next fight. Any further illegal moves throughout the entire tournament will result in a match loss. (Do note however, it must be reported before the match ends.)
  • Any incident involving drama, bad sportsmanship, or disrespect, with proof, can be looked into and result in a removal from the tournament.
  • Any use of unofficial updates/cards that results in the opponent from disconnecting: will result in an immediate removal from the tournament.
  • At the end of the tournament, winners may submit their winning deck lists to the host for it to be posted on the final results post. This is not mandatory but an voluntary option.
    • To send a screenshot: you need only to press the S key while you're in the deck editor and it will create an image file in your Cardfight Area folder.

  • ** New Rule ** A round will end in one hour (or less, if all matches are completed before the hour) after it's started through an announcement by the tournament host. If there are fights still going on, those fights will go into Time - after an additional ten minutes, the player with the most damage will lose that game.
    • If both players damage are equal, it will go into Sudden Death - if a player takes a damage, regardless if they heal, they will lose the game.
    • If for whatever reason, both players are in their first game with no win on either side during Time or Sudden Death, the winner of the game will be declared the winner of the match and advance into the next round. Otherwise, both players will start a new game and have ten minutes to their match before declaring Time.
    • If agreed upon by both you and your opponent, you may start your next match without waiting for the round announcement once you get your opponent. Remember this is optional and not mandatory, as you may simply choose to wait by taking a break or watching other games until the round has ended.
  • Announce the distribution of effects! (i.e. Any unit that obtains a critical effect or would via skills or critical triggers must be brought to the opponents knowledge.) 1st Offense is a warning, second offense is a game loss.
