The winner of a XHRT Vanguard Tournament gets the option to pick 1 of the rules below to be added to the next XHRT Tournament.
Members may submit new rules to be added to the list at any time. It will be looked at carefully and balanced where needed before being added to the list.
All Special Rules are subject to constant change, so will be updated over time if needed.
Special Rules cannot be re-picked until at least 3 tournaments after its last use are completed.
(Words and names in this are examples helping explain a rule they are by)

Integrated Rule :

8 Damage  (In Use)
Both players place 2 cards from the top of their deck into their Damage Zone after starting hands are finalized, after any mulligans. Damage Count Loss increased to 8 from 6.

Rear-Guard Drive Check (Available)
Attacking Rear-Guard units may perform Drive Checks. Rear-Guards that Drive Check a "Stand Trigger" may not target themselves for the "stand" effect.
Decks may only consist of a MAXIMUM of 4 copies of a single Trigger type. (Ex. You may only be allowed up to 4 Stand Triggers in your deck)
Cards that Rear-Guard units Drive Check are placed on the bottom of the deck instead of going to the player's hand.
Rear-Guard Drive Checks are optional.
Rear-Guard units cannot use Twin Drive.
Players skip the Stride Step, but can have G-Units.

10k Overlords (Tournaments until next available use : 1)
Grade 3 or higher units must have 10k or lower base Power only. (This includes G-Units.)
Players can only use up to 1 unit from a Ride Chain. (Ex. If you use Blaster Dark you cannot use Fullbau, Blaster Javelin, or Phantom Blaster Dragon)
Players can use Grade 2 or lower units with 11k or higher Power.
No Legion Leader units are allowed in a player's deck. (Ex. Secret Sword Seeker, Voltigan)
Players can use Legion Mate units. (Ex. Blaster Blade Seeker)
No Units that gain permanent power increases other than Ride Chain units. (Ex. Majesty Lord Blaster, No Life King Death Anchor, etc)


2 Draw Return (Available)
Players may draw 2 cards at the start of their Draw Phase instead of one, then 1 of the 2 drawn cards is placed on the bottom of the deck.
If you have 10 or fewer cards left in your deck, you can only draw 1 card.
No "Persona Skill units". (Ex. "Phantom Blaster Overlord", "Revenger, Raging Folm Dragon", "Covert Demonic Dragon, Mandala Lord", "Seeker, Sing Saver Dragon", etc.)
Units that simply call copies are not counted as "Persona Skill Units". (Ex. Covert Demonic Dragon, Hyakki Vogue "Reverse")


Reverse Trigger (Available)
Critical Triggers, Stand Triggers, and Heal Triggers can cause negative effects to your opponent based on what trigger is activated.
Critical Trigger - One of the opponent's units loses 1 Critical point until the end of turn.
Stand Trigger - Rest 1 of the opponent's Rear-Guard units.
Heal Trigger - If you have more damage than your opponent, they receive 1 damage.
If you use a Negative Effect on your opponent, you cannot use the normal trigger effect on yourself. (Ex. If you rest a unit with a Stand Trigger, you cannot Stand one of your units. If you give your opponent 1 damage with a Heal Trigger, you cannot Heal 1 damage. If you remove 1 Critical from an opponent's unit, you cannot add 1 Critical to one of your units.)
Players must have exactly 4 copies of each trigger in their decks. (4 Critical, 4 Stand, 4 Draw, and 4 Heal)
Players cannot use units that re-stand themselves ("Revenger, Raging Folm Dragon" and "Dragonic Overlord the RE-BIRTH"), but can use units that re-stand other units. (Dragonic Overlord [Break Ride] and Commander Laurel)
Players skip the Stride Step, but can have G-Units.

Players are NOT allowed to use Limit Break units (Ex. Great Silver Wolf, Garmore and Dauntless Drive Dragon), Legion units (Ex. Seeker, Sing Saver Dragon and Revenger, Phantom Blaster "Abyss"), or units that "Delete". (Ex. Daunting Deletor, Woksis and Squirm Deletor, Rulwerul)
Players skip the Stride Step, but can have G-Units.

Trials of the Vanguard #1 (Available)
Players build Trial Decks using requirements and restrictions.
Units in a player's deck cannot be archetype specific. (Can  be used - Perdition Dragon, Heat Wing Dragon and Seeker of Bravery, Ars : Cannot be used - Seal Dragon, Corduroy and Precious Knight of Nullity, Masquerade)
Decks cannot use Legion Units, Break Ride Units, or Cross-Ride Units.
Decks cannot focus on supporting their G3s directly. ('Flame of Promise, Aermo', 'Brutal Shade', and 'Apocalypse Bat')
Decks can use Ride Chain units, but must contain all parts of the chain. (Zeal, Tsukuyomi, etc)
Decks must be of a single clan.
Players cannot have Grade 4 units.

All Decks must meet the following Grade requirements :
Grade 0 :
Starter must be a 6000 Power blank unit, a Trigger Unit, or the start of a Ride Chain.
(If a clan does not have a 6000 Power blank unit or a Ride Chain starter, then players are given the following options : 1. You may use another Grade 0 Normal Unit with all of its skills negated the entire match 2. Use a Grade 0 6000 Power blank unit from another clan.)
Must have 4 copies of all 4 trigger types.

Grade 1 :
No Sentinel Units. (Perfect Guard or Q-Wall)
Must contain at least 3-4 copies of an 8000 Power blank unit.

Grade 2 :
Must contain at least 3-4 copies of a 10,000 Power blank unit.

Grade 3 :
Must have exactly 3 different Units.
1 Unit must be obvious as the main unit and the other 2 side Grade 3 units, the other 2 G3s cannot have Limit Break.
Decks may only have 1-2 copies of it's main G3 Unit. (Main units have [V] at any point on the card, while side Grade 3s have [V/R] or [R]. Mega Blast Units are counted as Main G3 units if they have CB5 SB8 [V] or Side G3 units if they have CB5 SB8 [V/R] or [R]. The end of Ride Chains, such as Phantom Blaster Dragon and Schwarzschild Dragon, are counted as Main Units. Units that are considered Leaders, such as Dragonic Overlord CEO Amaterasu and Asura Kaiser, are also counted as Main Units.)

Trials of the Vanguard #2 (Available)
Players pick 1 Trial deck from TD-1 up to TD-13. (VG-TD01: Blaster Blade up to VG-TD13: Successor of the Sacred Regalia)
Players build a deck using only the units found in the Trial Deck they picked.
Players cannot pick DAIGO Special Set, VGE-MT01: Rise to Royalty, or Movie Trial Deck 1: Malefic Deletor.
No copy count restrictions.


Fight Till Ya Drop (Tournaments until next available use : 2)
When you damage an opponent's Vanguard, you can heal 1 point of Damage if you have 3 or higher damage.
Players can only Heal from Rear-Guard attacks once per turn.
Players cannot have Heal Triggers in their decks.
Players cannot use units that alter the power of the opponent's units. (Galactic Beast, Zeal and Fantasy Petal Storm, Shirayuki)
Players cannot use units that restrict the opponent's guarding power. (Silent Tom and Echo of Nemesis)
Players cannot use units that increase critical points. (Majesty Lord Blaster and Dimensional Robo, Gocannon)
Players cannot use units that stand themselves or other units. (Asura Kaiser and Tidal Assult)
Players can use units that get benefits from standing. (Beast Deity, Golden Anglet and Extreme Battler, Sazanda)
Rear-Guards that are in Stand Position cannot be destroyed by battle.
