"Oh hey Tsubasa" Neo said as his friend walk toward him

Neo felt something different about Tsubasa this time, as if he was determined about something

"Hows everything going?" Neo asked him

"...I'm still unsure, but I am close to my answers I know it." he said.

Tsubasa was certain that he was close to reaching the new strength he wants, but he is still what it's going to take. Nevertheless he is also curious about Neo's situation.

"How about you? were you able to find new strength for your deck?" he asked.

"Im closer then I have ever been" Neo said

"Neu and I had a cardfight, and she told me that Vermillion has an evolution, but the time isnt right for me to obtain it" Neo said

"Also, im not mad at Neu anymore, ive decided to control my anger now" Neo also said to Tsubasa

"..I see, I understand that you may think that your anger may be driving you back but..." he thought, as he began to remember the rage he felt in the past against everyone around him.

"..I admit your rage was putting on a powerful show but I believe that if you found another drive then you an reveal that power again but better." he said.

Tsubasa was never good at helping others deal with their struggles, especially if they fall under the same category as his struggle.

"..I'm still to figure out my drive and my Vanguard." he said. "I'm close but I feel like something is missing.."

"Ask yourself whats your goal" Neo replied to Tsubasa.

"You just need to look deep down, ask yourself: Are you doing what your doing for the right reasons? I always thought stopping Neu right now for the clans and my parents was the right decision, but it never was, and never will be" Neo said

Neo then stood up.

Im sure it will come to you Tsubasa" Neo said. It takes time, but it will come to you"

As soon as Noah got off the train, he immediately went to the park. Something was... calling him there, besides he wanted to get some fresh air. He leisurely strolled through the park, when he noticed two guys conversing. They appeared to be fighters, something stirred in Noah, so he went up to them and asked,

"Would either of you happen to be cardfighters?"

"...I'm not sure to be honest..." he said. "..A friend asked me about the reason for me using gold paladins...I could not answer...I always thought that they felt right for me...even though....."

Tsubasa was always alone, even when he had to take care of his brother he always felt and moved on alone, always carrying the problems over his head and not letting others help him. He never understood why he would be drawn to a clan that opposed his style so much.

"...Neo...mind if we have a fight?...maybe I can figure something out from fighting a friend-" he said, but his words were interrupted by another cardfighter approaching them.

"Sure" Neo replied

Then Neo noticed that same person from before approaching.

"Yes we are cardfighters and we are about to do battle, you can watch if you like" Neo said

Neo then took out his portable cf table and his deck and the fight began!

Noah walked over to the side of the fight table.

"Thank you for letting me watch your fight."

Noah thanked the two fighters, smiling.

"I guess watching fights is one way to get stronger, and I have to get stronger to fulfill Maelstrom's request." Noah thought to himself.

Another great cardfight between Ezel and Vermillion was down to the wire. With both Neo and Tsubasa doing Limit Break twice, and both getting a miracle 6th heal. But in the end Vermillion won this battle, which means both Tsubasa and Neo have one win a piece. But that wasnt the important part. What was important is that Neo woke up Tsubasa. And in the end, Neo was happy to have helped his good friend.

When the cardfight ended, Neo noticed something odd

"His cards.. there glowing" Neo said to himself as Tsubasa put his cards away.

"I wonder what that was about" Neo said as he put his card and table away

"Nice fight!"

Neu walked into the scene from a good distance away. How she watched the fight from that far was unknown but she did. She wore her white button up shirt accompanied by her red and black plaid skirt. She was carrying her black purse like usual. Her long light-purple hair and differing colored eyes stood out in the darkness. She clapped as she approached them.

"So Tsubasa, you're trying to figure something out? Maybe I should put it to a test."

Time passed during the fight and the two lost track of time, once the fight was over with Neo's victory, the two were approached mysteriously by a familiar face. Though her hair and eyes were not as they both remembered.

"...Neu is that you?" he asked. "..Yes I am trying to figure something about my vanguard..."

Neu was impressed by the fight that occurred between the two, but she immediately chose to challenge Tsubasa to a cardfight.

"...Test huh...alright the more fights I do the better." he said, taking out his deck once again.

After the match, Neu stood victorious, bringing back what she had been telling Tsubasa throughout.

All power should be all kept to yourself, you only get stronger by stepping on others, because that's what comrades are, just stepping stones.

"As I said, the winner dictates what is right. So now I'll ask you again, what is your Vanguard?"

Tsubasa  failed to defeat the crossrided Overlord as he decimated his field, he was unable to show Neu just how much trust can help between comrades, friends and units with his current level of strength. He was not sure how to reply to her question, in his opinion he had once stepped on a friend of his before and because of his actions he lost him forever. However, he could not stand to lose those close to him again, even Neu to him was someone important, she represented how fun this game can be.

"...I'm sorry Neu....you may not have the ability to accept others right now or trust them...kind of like how I was years ago...but..." he said, as he took a deep breath.

"I've learned now, I stand by my comrades, and because of them I improve, grow and heal, and I won't stop until I do my part and give them the strength they need in return, all of my friends, Neo, Haruki, Yukino, Tsubaki, Fei, Hazama, and you Neu....and of course my paladins." he said, with a determined look in his eyes. "Because of them, I will gain the strength to show you as well, that you can trust others and become better because of them."

She still looked at him with piercing eyes. She wasn't convinced not one bit. His Vanguard, if that's what he truly believed, then it was incomplete and flawed. There was still something missing.

"I showed you that you have no strength. So do you take your time to obtain it first first despite the fact that your comrades need it now? Plus you're making assumptions about me that could be true, but you're misunderstanding. If anything you should've seen through me by now just by looking at the first two fights we had. So let me ask you again, what is your Vanguard?"
