(GS3) Field: Card Capital

[Kuro]

"Nice, I'm Haruki by the way. Nice to meet you," the boy said with a smile.

He tried thinking of where he remembered the girl from once more, but the words couldn't come to his head. She was someone famous and Vanguard related for sure, but no matter. It looked like Kurai was about to have a cardfight with her, so maybe he could figure it out that way.

[Helios]

Hazama walks into Card Capital for the second time today. Why do I keep coming here?

He strolls around a bit to find the national champion, Hana Espoir, fighting some guy Hazama has never seen before. "Dark Irregulars," he mumbled under his breath. "This will be interesting."

After a marvellous bout, with both Hana-chan and Kurai, Kurai emerged victorious due to the Dark Queen of Nightmare Land (A stand trigger).
He felt the eminence passion of Hana-chan during the game. A passion that quelled the other personality that embroidered itself within Kurai.

"You played well, Hana-chan. You are really good." He said with a smile on his face. It was clear that this game had excited him.

"Arigato, Aitsu-kun" She replied back.

[Her fighting ability, it... it feels like I was competing on a completely different level. Perhaps she practices alot... that's probably the case] He was thinking about how she acted in the cardfight. She was having fun;Just like he used to do. She smiled, laughed and overall enjoyed herself.

Whilst shaking her hand in a show of mutual respect: A deathly gaze oppressed Kurai's thoughts as he turned to see an interesting foe

[Kuro]

After the amazing game, Haruki still couldn't come up with any leads on who this girl could be, no matter how familiar she looked to him. As he turned however, Haruki saw one of his friends standing beside him that had been watching the match. Hazama has been bit down in the dumps ever since Haruki saw him again at the slums last night. Maybe a chat would get him back in an upbeat mood.

"Hey Hazama, how's it been?" Haruki asked with curiosity.

[Helios]

Hazama sees Haruki approach him after the fight. Does this person ever leave people alone?

"Haruki," he says in reply. "Why are you so curious about my recent actions I have taken?"

[Kuro]

Haruki was taken aback. He never thought about how Hazama might not want to talk about what he's been doing.

"Well, I just thought it'd be nice to hear what you've been up to since the park. I mean, you've been so down since then, maybe you could cheer up, y'know?" the boy said with a nervous smile, rubbing the back of his head in sudden embarrassment.

[Helios]

"Please. Cheer up? I feel just fine actually. Now haven't your parents told you to mind your own business?" he asked Haruki.

"And why are you so scared to even talk to me?" he proceeded with the questions. "If you are, then why bother?"

[Kuro]

Now there was definitely something to Hazama that was stopping Haruki from making that epic connection that cardfighters have with each other.  He couldn't pinpoint what that barrier was, but he knew that he couldn't back down if he wanted to keep up with Hazama. Now their friendship was on the line.

"I'm not giving up Hazama." Haruki's tone was full of determination. "You say I shouldn't bother, but talking with each other is what friends do. You're my friend so I can't leave this be."

Haruki took out the deck Kurai told him to try. This could be his chance to reach Hazama once again. "Let's settle this like real cardfighters."

[Helios]

"Draw. Vampir's skill, and the two Doreen's behind my two Vampir react. Calling Decadent and Shirley. Shirley's skill, move to soul and soulcharge. Doreen's get another 6,000. Call Alluring Succubus, its skill, soulcharge. Again Doreen," Hazama says as the fight between him and Haruki continues on.

"Fulfil my wish of destruction and despair, Vampir defy the laws of Vanguard, megablast!" Sky High Walker to the Vanguard circle (a 4k, grade 0, stand trigger)." "Boosted by Alluring, Decadent attacks your Vanguard (16k)."

"I guard with Sky High walker and Turquoise Beast Tamer," Haruki says.

"How pitiful, your Vanguard is at Grade 0, so you can only guard with Grade 0's," I reply.

"Tch. Fine, Crimson intercepts."

"Boosted by Doreen, my Vanguard Vampir attacks your Vanguard (30k)."

"I can't guard," Haruki says sadly.

"Twin drive, first check. Nothing. Second check, Critical Trigger, the critical to my Vanguard and power to my rearguard Vampir."

I could see the shock on my opponents face at the sheer power facing him.

"Damage check," Haruki says nervously. "No heal, you win."

"Well, if this is all you got, then don't bother challenging me again." Hazama collects his deck, puts it in his holder, gets up, and walks away from the table leaving Haruki behind.

[Hope]

"Running Man, stop right there!" Hana calls out to Hazama.

[Helios]

"Hm?" Hazama turns around to find Hana telling him to stop in his tracks. "I have a name you know, and you should know it Hana. After all, we did fight at nationals didn't we?" he replies to Hana. "What do you want," he follows up sharply.

[Hope]

"I actually can't remember names all that well." Hana thought, yeah... that's kind of why she makes nicknames for everyone.

"Well, I actually just wanted to challenge you to a cardfight." She smiled at him and took out Cero's deck.

[Helios]

"No thanks." With that Hazama keeps on walking to the exit.

[Hope]

"So you go with big talk and go along disrespecting those who you can easily defeat, but once someone who is actually a threat to you comes along, you run off." Hana stood up, with her dog in her arms.

"Woof." This was an angry woof.

She walked past him, her voice,  deeper and more serious, "kimouchiwarui."

[Helios]

"Don't assume things you don't know about other people," Hazama replies a bit angered but keeping his cool. "There are other things I have to tend to tonight other than cardfighting.

"Now if you will excuse me, I will take my leave. Oh and besides, your dog doesn't scare me if that's what you are trying to do."
