Satoshi stepped in, unbuttoning his long overcoat because it was warmer in the shop than he was expecting. His main plan for the day was to fight some random people and see if what he spent most of his time learning while he was away paid off at all.
He had learned a new way of Vanguard, since his Vanguard of
Companionship
lost out at New York. It was a bit more unusual, because it focused on manipulating something he had grown to respect, his "devil's luck." It was a Vanguard of
Fateweaving
, something much different than he was used to. While he could still play the clan with allies flanking either side of the Vanguard, he instead sought to turn the tide in his favor by using Fortuna's
Wheel of Destiny
to change the fate of his drive checks. This used a lot of power, and for some odd reason was a bit draining to the farmboy's spirit, but nevertheless served him fairly well in practice. In order to protect Cray and his friends, he had to prevent his own failure to do so, and this would help him accomplish that goal.
Admittedly, it was a bit selfish, because people were capable of taking care of themselves, and he knew this, but it was still essential that he could do at least something to keep his psyche in check...and perhaps even that voice that haunted him.
He noticed Haruka was in the corner, and a part of him wanted to reach out and talk to his Triad partner, but another reminded him that technically, the Triad was on break, because their contact had been limited on purpose by him in the first place. Furthermore, he would rather that Yukino and Haruka had both been there together to interact with. Any time he tried to talk to one or the other one-on-one, there were more pressing things for them to do to begin with. Having them together would be like old times, not that he really wanted to think of Neo Nectar at the moment.
Satoshi instead sat at a different table in front of some other players and proceeded to play some games with them.

Alexander yawned as he walked in with a large cup of coffee, a look of exhaustion resting on him from the work to move all the way to Rijuku. Not to forget that having to work with the burly men to carry all the things, having become a spirit brother of sorts with the workers after having undergone the trials they had, a pact to meet again and take things out of trucks and into trucks having been silently made.
Soul brothers for life.
The young man scanned the place as it seemed to be chock full in both cards and fighters, a vibe of happiness and competition intermingling, tiny hopes gathering together. He smiled, it was a good sight, though a better one soon followed. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a familiar silhouette, catching their appearance as his features brightened more. Hastily he walked there, happy to see a known face right after coming back to Rijuku, especially being able to surprise them with his visit.
He would yell out a"Heya, Harooooka-saaaan!" Loud enough to catch the attention of the others nearby as he approached the table, placing his coffee down as he continued speaking. "Long time no see huh?" Waiting to see his reaction, and hoping he'd figure out who he was.

Haruka looks up after flipping through a few copies of Blast Bark Dragon. Something about his new units seemed awfully strange. They weren't like Overlord in personality, but they held this sort of entitlement. Like a foster family, all sort of banded together for different reasons, but a family all the same. It was comforting to know Haruka was apart of that establishment.
Suddenly, another aroma of coffee conflicted with his own. Looking up he heard his name called, as the man who called it, Alexander, showed up out of the blue. Haruka had a large grin on his face as he put his deck down and called back out.
"Alexander, it's good to see you again! What are you doing here iin Rijuku though?" Haruka was more happy than anything an old friend of his had shown up, but it was still somewhat odd knowing he is now in the same area as, well, almost everyone else that participated in that New York stage tournament. Alex might have more friends than he bargained for soon.
"Nevermind that. You're fighting me, now. I wanna see what your deck does." Haruka already had his placed and ready, and he wasn't about to let Alex dip out on a fight today. No no no. He wanted this fight more than the coffee on the table, and that was saying something.

Shin'en walked into the crowded Card Capital. He had grown so much stronger the past year, especially with the help of his Revengers. He hadn’t seen any sign of this 'Link Joker' but he has always kept his eyeopen.
As he walked in, the manager greeted him. Shin’en went to go find an empty table, and waited for someone to card fight him. While he waited he looked through his deck, “Nothing new”. Shin’en had long waited for Blaster Dark to return to the United Sanctuary. It has been a year since he had left to find the Purple Knight, Mordred, and they have yet to come back. Shin’en never gave up he knew Blaster Dark would be back soon… he could feel it. All he could do is train and wait for their return. While waiting for an opponent , he couldn't help noticing the cardfight next to him.

"My mom moved here and I came with here, a pretty good turn of events huh? Wanted to surprise you and all too, guess it worked out well. No way I wouldn't find you in a card shop heh." Speaking joyfully, though then nodding to Harukas challenge.
"Alright then, get ready to see what me and this clan can do!" Alexander taking a seat and whipping his deck case out, taking out the dimensional robos held inside and placing his starter before shuffling his deck.
"Now if I think about it, you haven't seen me with these guys. Guess it'll be interesting." A small smirk placed on his lips, confidence brimming from him with excitement in tow. He was more than ready for this reunion fight, he even was going to issue the challenge if Haruka didn't do it first.

That was quite the experience for Haruka.. Mostly due to an intense drive check lacking. He has this intense luck swing every other fight, one day getting drive triggers and sacking consistently, then there are days like today... Where he drive checks a total of 3 triggers, one of which was an unusable heal and a critical with no target.
He was thoroughly disappointed at first at the outcome of the fight, being totally swamped under the Daikaiser Breakride and Great Daiyusha's consistent critical hitting. It was painful to say the very least. Alex even hit twice with Laurel... twice. The fight was more than one-sided, Alexander might as well have been playing against an opponent who couldn't draw cards.
In the end Haruka learned a lesson from that fight-
Don't fight Alex.
"Thanks for the fight. Now I know where to proceed with this deck..." Haruka wasn't particularly upset anymore after a brief feeling of defeat. The whole point was for both fighter's to feel successful in that fight, and Haruka still managed to force a perfect guard on Breakride turn, causing him a near win. Actually, he would've won with some basic game knowledge. Haruka was unsure of how criticals in Vanguard worked... not realizing that units always already had a critical to begin with, so when Haruka drive checked a critical trigger, he didn't know it would trigger Blast Bark's second skill, and gave the power to the rear guard on a two pass that he would've actually won on.
Alexander AP+2
Haruka, needless to say, got a lecturing from Sera. Haruka's headache from hearing a voice not outside of his head was so splitting he literally got out of seat, said "Seeya' later Alex," after the fight, and left. He needed to be anywhere that would drown out the noise of Sera giving him an inner beating through words. He was holding his head in slight agony, wanting to cry almost. Sera was brutal. No mercy. Haruka was headed for the shopping district, it was louder there. Maybe the sound of people that weren't in his head would be nice.

Sky walked in, Today was one of the few days off he gets from working in the park, and he was finally going to make it worthwhile. He walked up to the clerk and asked
"Excuse me do you sell champions of the cosmos?"
Sky's eyes lit up as he saw all the different blau cards he had acquired from the booster set. He did not even care that he did not manage to acquire Stern's next stage. This would truly revamp his Blaukluger deck. He hurried and made the changes and turned to see if any of the fighters in the card shop would help him test.
"Does anyone want to see how we Americans play vanguard?!"
he screamed, to excited to care how ridiculous he probably sounded.

Shin'en had won every cardfight that came in his way, but eventually a familiar face walked in.

Sky glanced around the room thinking maybe screaming at the top of his lungs wasn't the best idea. It was then he saw someone he thought he recognized. He had saw the guy when he first walked in to buy cards from the Extra Booster, and thought he recognized him but let it alone. The guy seemed pretty strong and was using Shadow Paladin, really wanting to test his deck Sky walked up to the man and said "Hey I'm not sure but I think I saw you in New York at the Starbucks in Central Park?" "Even if it wasn't you you seem pretty good; How about a fight?" Sky said with a smile.

Card Capital
A year has passed since he had last stepped into this place. With the turf war going on and getting his new cards from his opponents and other near by shops he honestly didn't see the point of coming back here. Last time he was here was when he first met Cosmo lord. This pain, is this what others felt when they lost their Avatars in last year's memory wipe? He doesn't know and he doesn't want to know what others felt. he proceeds inside the store. He walked over to glassed shelf and began staring at the glassed shelf that he had obtained Cosmo Lord. Oh what a bittersweet feeling.

After class,he had left the school and headed to card capital.
He walked through the doors and sat down at the nearest table he could find. Amon took out the book he had taken from his desk in the English classroom. The book was still Dracula. He sat down, continuing to read the book, in the atmosphere of the card shop.

The Card Capital burst open as men from the Bluebloods came in with wooden rapiers, crow bars and shock gloves as they surrounded the manager of the capital.
"Alright listen up, this area is now under the Bluebloods you hear! Now get in line and place your decks and money on this table here." As he tapped on the designated table. "Try anything funny and you'll regret it. Shinji, lock the doors and close the blinds we don't need anymore witnesses." The children began to cling onto an older person out of fear. Then some of them moved forward and gave their decks and the cash they have on them for their own safety.
Smacking the crowbar onto the floor impatiently. "Well hurry up and get to it!." Yelling to the rest of them with his threatening glare with some of the children crying.

"You threaten the innocence due to your frustration, how weak willed of you."
Amon stated boldly for all to hear. He closed his book and stood up.
"You even use a weapon because you are so pathetic, it's the only way you can intimidate people. You're as threatening as the Underground King! and last I remember, I put him in the hospital.... now.... Walk away before you meet the same fate"
Amon threatened the invaders, with the intention of fighting them if necessary. He gave a devilish glare and stood his ground.

"Underground King? You mean that prissy Hikaru?" The Blueblood commander then began to laugh at the platinum haired's declaration of mentioning Hikaru to him.
"That guy is a joke! He left his own faction to fend for themselves to go to the circuit and he lost in the first round! And us being pathetic!? Please this is the real world we don't just use cards to get what we want, were pirate themed for a reason!" He then grabbed the nearest child near him as he held him to his chest. "Like I said before, try anything and i'll hurt this kid badly."

Amon was disappointed at their actions.
"Look at your men... now back to me...
" Amon walked a few steps forward. The Blueblood captain warned him not to come any closer. He decided to do the one thing he wouldn't regret.
"Now look at your men again..."
Amon flew forward, jumping the table, sending his fist towards the captain's face. Swiftly, diverting his momentum, moving behind him and having his fist strike the location of his head from behind.
