About the Setting:
[ This is a separate timeline that cuts off from the end of CFV Season 4. The characters from the original 4 seasons all canonically existed in this universe. This is a separate branch taking the place of Cardfight Vanguard G. (Cuz fk Chrono tbh) ]

In his adult years the champion of the Asia Circuit and pioneer of “Stride,” the Legendary Aichi Sendou would come to discover technology which would allow instantaneous travel between Earth and Cray. Through small disc-shaped devices called “EXDs,” any human or inhabitant of Cray would be able to transport themselves to and out of their own planet into the other planet much like theirs. No one knows what EXD stands for or why that was name chosen for the device, but regardless, as time went on, the EXD’s influence grew and like many devices, it evolved.
Now begins the story, hundreds of years in the future. Technology is at its peak and the influence of the EXD is widespread, but also limited by law. While the device itself allows free travel to both Earth and Cray, inhabitants have limits on where they may stay depending on their place of origin. After all, it would be troublesome for a dragon from Cray to come and spend large amounts of time on Earth, though there have been instances. Dragonic Overlord’s seat at football stadium is a famous monument. Similarly, humans are not allowed to spend far too much time on Cray unless for diplomatic purposes as the habitats there similarly have a fragile balance. Vanguard cards are all distributed with small EXD disc chips attached to the top right of the cards. These chips enable the owners of the cards to speak with their units as well as call them for assistance in times of need. The secondary function however is only for self defense. Usually Vanguard is played for fun and entertainment where units and humans alike are able to bond with one another by training in battle, synchronizing their attacks and strategies it is a form of sparring done with mutual respect. Live television broadcasts of them are often displayed, giving rise to many celebrities.
However in this futuristic utopia, darker deeds exist within the depths of the societies of both worlds as the laws prohibiting uses on the EXD hold no power over those who do not follow the law in the first place.

- Also real quick, when coming up with characters, if you take an avatar or clan, that avatar unit along with any significant units in the deck lorewise also count as your character.
- Since Season 1-4 has existing lore on Vanguard units, those apply. Any afterwards (especially for units that are entirely new like Ahsha, Altmile, and Gurguit) are entirely fair game to write however you see fit.

This is an rp, and not a competition. If only player disconnects, the resolution will be decided by a mutual agreement to let one win or to have rematch. If no agreement can be made, I’ll literally flip a coin.

Aichi pioneered the technology for the EXD
Known cards in Aichi’s deck ends with the seekers. No one knows Legend Deck units like  Alfred Holy Saver and Blaster Blade Exceed exist, hence why no one knows where the name EXD came from.
Roombas are the hype.
Galahad is the name of the most popular flying car brand.
Cardfighting is the most popular spectator sport.
2 days is the maximum monthly time limit spent on the other planet for vacationing. Vacation spots only exist in Magallanica and United Sanctuary. Cray’s atmosphere and gravitational pull are radically different from that of Earth. The humans of Cray have evolved to handle the environment and are radically different in body make-up from Earth humans despite having a similar appearance. 2 days is the maximum limit for the sake of health and the law.
With help from an association formed by King Alfred, any Vanguard unit is also only limited to spending 2 days on Earth and are to show good behavior, otherwise the organization would have to interfere.
Use of the EXD is common knowledge as well as the fact that it has a hologram function which enables casual sparring. It is a small microchip on the right of the cards.
EXDs respond to a contract seal placed by avatar unit on the human’s body. A person cannot use another’s deck. These contract appears as tattoo’d designs, personally created by the units themselves.
Those whom formed a mutual contract are known as “Bearers.”
The contract-making ritual is done in childhood with the child’s favorite card and the unit often becomes their guardian angel and faithful companion throughout their lives.
Outside of those who work in law enforcement or military, very few know how to use the EXD’s offensive function but know that it exists. In this case, Vanguard units can often be relied on to communicate how to use the function.
Terrorist attacks have been reported, but they aren’t common enough or have had a big enough impact to tamper with everyday life.
The most Popular Pro Vanguard Fighter is a worldwide celebrity, looked up to by many.

The Link Joker Invasion was wiped from the memory of all humans on Earth and thus never passed down in history.
Units on Cray know of the invasion but do not tell anyone.
A select few who are against the integration of outsiders (like Link Joker and even humans of Earth) have manipulated humans into forming contracts with them.
Those whom are manipulated or forced into their contract are known as “Hosts.”
Hosts can be identified through their rough scars rather than designs as their seal. These inspections are done when creating IDs as well as applying for work. Units which have hosts forcibly place the seal and have done so with no care for the human’s well-being.
Due to this, anyone who becomes a host is marginalized from society and is left with no choice but to rely on their units.
Hosts are often part of terrorist organizations which look to break the relations between Earth and Cray, going as far to simply try to destroy Earth as a whole.
The most popular Pro Vanguard Fighter is someone who was originally a host, eventually agreeing with his unit’s ideals and becoming a bearer, allowing him to climb upward in the world and gain influence.

Name: Ahmes Spencer-Stanhope Clan: Royal Paladin Avatar: Altmile (All Forms) Age: 32 Personality: As a world-class celebrity and Cardfighter, Ahmes is a very well-mannered gentleman with a tendency to act with kindness. Though, this kindness is described to be something that gives others a feeling of discomfort as the man is often far too giving to the point that he may as well not have no worry for his own well-being. Those who interact with him can't understand if he is just naive or extremely deceptive. Regardless, the fans, and the media love it. They all bite into this model of a philanthropist champion of a Cardfighter. The best in the world in both fighting in the Vanguard arena and in business negotiations, he is a man who only tells the truth. Half-truths, at the very least.

Backstory: Spoiler "Ahmes."    He was given the name by his biological parents whom to this very day have whereabouts which are unknown. What was known was that they had high hopes for him, naming after the legendary knight, Blaster Blade. Spending his early days as an orphan, he often played with other children's cards. He grew fond of them, but never got close to them. For  a long time he had no avatar, but what he did have was a deep love for Cray and all of its inhabitants.    At the age of 9, the Spencer-Stanhope family adopted him for the sole purpose of giving him the unit, Altmile which appeared to have chosen him. Along with the unit, he was to be trained as the successor of the successful Spencer-Stanhope group, the leader of entertainment the worlds over. While he finally had a family, the family was no family at all. Hours of studying, working, and training turned Vanguard into more of a pain than a game of enjoyment. Altmile was nothing like the cards which he had played with, it was a unit which he didn't choose on his own, that was constantly pushed onto him, and one that spoke words that he absolutely refused.    After many months passed, Ahmes was finally told that due to his hard work, he was finally able to be admitted into the family formally. He was glad, thinking that it meant the work was over, but it was quite the contrary. He was fooled into proclaiming an oath, signing a contract with Altmile, and when the unit with the EXD chip was handed to him, Altmile with a flash of light emerged from the card and stabbed him on his chest. That was his seal. "You stabbed me in the chest!" "It was part of the ritual, now let me be your friend." "I wanted to be a Megacolony main fk you!" "Look, I'll make it up to you. I know that you may not like me now, but I really did choose you to be my Vanguard."    It took time, but eventually Altmile was able to get into casual speaking terms with the boy. He really didn't have any choice at this point. The unit would tell him stories like, "Hey, did you know that Link Joker wasn't originally part of Cray?" They were just the casual stories. Somewhat. Either way, Altmile I appealed to his deep love of Cray, eventually having him to agree with his ideals. The stab wound on his chest turned into a formal seal. A gem was placed in the scar, a gem similar to those on the armor of Blaster units. When his adoptive parents saw his seal, they appointed him as the head of the family. "Altmile, let's save Cray. I'll join you in the next life."    Often questioning the limits of his own body, he no longer wanted to be human, but instead wished to be a Vanguard Unit. By destroying the Earth along with himself he thought that we would be able to be reincarnated as a Vanguard Unit since there were no more humans left on Earth that he could possibly be born as. Altmile didn't really know where he got it from, but the wild imagination worked in his favor.    Small scale terrorist attacks by "hosts" didn't work so he took all the organizations under his control with the use of his family's power. Then, he won numerous championships with ease, rising to popularity. He would often enjoy himself with the offensive capabilities of the EXD, killing any terrorists that would conduct attacks and fail. "Kneel before our sword, criminal. Any last words?" "You hired u-" Then he ended them. "Anything but that," he shrugged.    These acts of heroism further threw his popularity upwards. Altmile's reputation as a knight also skyrocketed within the ranks of Royal Paladin in Cray. He was seen as a leader who maintained the peace along with his Vanguard.    The two could care less about the peace between the worlds. What they wanted was to be rid of Earth before it could infect Cray with its impurity and human weakness. They slowly move towards their plan, undetected, wearing the mask of a world class fighter and a loyal knight,but the blood on Altmile's blade puts Claret Sword Dragon to shame.

Name: Luxanne “Lux” Dominus (lit. “Light Lord”)

Personality: A kind individual, seeking to aid others in the quests for their dreams instead of furthering her own agenda. Though her machinations lie undetected, Lux carefully plans for herself after giving comrades the boosts they need. However, in reality, she helps others for the sake of her own ego and to fuel her obsession with control. Despite her pleasant demeanor being genuine, a lust to control and conquer - everything will move because she orders such. People will breathe because she allows it. Many will eat when she gives permission. All will bow will she demands it. A leader who is constantly struggling with her conflicted nature to keep everything in her grasp, almost panicking when something is completely out of her control. In a way, because of this, Vanguard fills her with an unnatural freight, for she cannot control the luck factor of the game.

So one asks: "Why even play the game?" Any drive to do so comes from a contradicting excitement of handling that which is out of her control, and at the same time, the masses who love the game while its popularity thrives is a gateway to subjugate the masses.

It's no wonder she synchronizes with Link Joker so well.

Backstory: "I will control Cardfight Vanguard."

The sudden declaration to a group of extremists breaking the law by jumping back and forth between Earth and Cray was given by the "lord". Her vow shocked them for two reasons: one, it was not an announcement to dominate the game, but instead the people. Two, because this also stretched to Cray itself. At a young age, Luxanne was exposed to a dangerous organization which utilized "EXD" for their own gains, granting themselves an easy life through connections to their units and the ability to illegally bring their units into the world for crime. Naturally, she was molded by such repulsive behavior, becoming a criminal herself. However, growing up and obtaining knowledge through the flourishing technological era, she discovered a horrific truth. "These lowlives have no idea what they're doing or why." Money? Fame? Luxury? Thrills? It just came down to "I want something" for these crooks. "How wasteful." Lux believed, and began to adopt an egotistical mindset. The fools who stole and killed, who jumped back and forth between planets, those who used Vanguard as a means of satiating their hunger for absolutely nothing - they could all be used.

They were tools.

With a kind yet callous smile, the youth began plotting heists and terrorist-esque assaults. It was so, so easy to guide pieces that aimlessly ran about without a commanding shout. "Go that way." or "Do this." was all it took. What was her endgoal for it all? Nothing but the fulfilling achievement of knowing she could hold so much power over a band of losers and thugs. "We can't do this without you!" They would cry out when she feigned exhaustion, simply wanting to hear them beg her to lead. Her sense of justice was not twisted, knowing from the beginning it was all wrong - against the law. That wasn't the point, she was only using this for experience.

With such experience, two argumentative voices called out to her from another planet. One of holy, genuine warmth and the other cackling endlessly with wicked glee. The former believed in her ability to lead - controlling the masses for the better, she did not wish to continue aiding a group of terrorists and most likely wouldn't. The latter was ecstatic over her fetish to dominate, attracted to her unquenchable thirst to simply be in power. These two units formed her contradictory persona and gave her real goal - true ambition beyond playing with toys.

Bring two worlds under her heel, for the good of all or for the devilish satisfaction of herself.

Name: Almas, Godric (Diamond with the Power of God)
Clan: Dimensional Police
Avatar: Bravest Rush, Grandgallop/Great Cosmic Hero, Grandgallop
Age: 18
Personality: “Evil must be crushed under the burning heel of justice.” He feels that anyone committing evil should be punished. No being is above the ever watching gaze of justice. Only fools would dare to trespass where a soldier of righteousness resides. He assisted the police enough to become a detective and assigned to a special unit that dealt with cray.  Godric believes he must be rigid, perfect, and a shining example to all. As a young man gifted with the power of god, it was his duty to uphold justice in any place he should roam.   This leads him to forming strong bonds with the dimensional police of cray. Such is his bond to someone he yearns to be like the Cosmic Level Hero “Gallop.”  Right now nothing burns brighter then his feelings towards helping Cray. A white flame that erases the darkness.

Backstory: With any great new technology comes those who seek to abuse its power. The “EXD” system made something only thought about in children’s dream. However for adults it was the stuff of nightmares. People found ways to link up and join with criminal units called “Rogues.” Wielding strange abilities and flourishing new alliances for crime sake. With the changing of times came the need for order.

His parents came from not so humble beginnings being both from families who invested in the technological sector while it was young.  As their wallets bloomed, so did their involvement with different facets of society. With those constantly changing and growing along with the popularity of Vanguard. It was only a matter of time until they would need a proper heir to assume the money making throne.

What they got was a son who had no interest in business. He had no flair for making deals or connections. He spent his younger days playing cops and robbers. Chasing imaginary bad guys with his made up friend “Gallop.” Those were his happier days, the days he spent chasing justice and defeating the imaginary bad guys. Sure he didn’t have any friends or siblings, but a true do-gooder only needed his sense of right and wrong.
 
Godric’s parents were more worried for his mental development. The child would often keep praising his invisible friend Gallop for whenever he did well. Ignoring common sense and often speaking about “Justice” and “The true way!” like some kind of moron. Being a Tycoon was to be taken seriously and this boy had the audacity to ask to visit the police force on his birthday no less.  So looking out for his best interest, they shipped him out of the country to boarding school. If the home-schooling, tutors and resources they invested were being squandered he didn’t need to be around anymore. That would be bad for business after all.

It was overseas that he made friends, learned languages and got top marks. His parents would often send for status reports. Everything seemed to be fixed! It was a miracle that Godric became the model son in such a short time. After all it had only been about ten years or so. It’s not like a child goes through anything alone in a strange place without his parents with him or for him. So just like that they sent for him back around the time of his seventeenth birthday.

Upon his return he locked himself in his room and began doing his research. He would work into the long hours of the night, by himself. The servants would leave meals outside his door, and only the strong sounds of typing and clicking echoed. When they returned Godric’s food would be missing and the dish was clean. His parents thought nothing of it and let their newly revived son do as he pleased.  They rejoiced when their accounts and stocks skyrocketed. He was amazing at analyzing then reacting to the ebb and flow of the markets. Godric even did their taxes and other important documents.  His folks even disregarded his purchases of vanguard cards, and trips to cray for relaxation.

Godric was the perfect son now, he always completed any given task as long as he was allowed his alone time. Except this one last time after his parents gave him the gift of “anything” he wanted. He finally had gained what he was craving. Once his deck was in hand he snapped his fingers. Police sprung from every corner of their opulent housing.  Some backed up by strange beings, others with weapons. Godric looked back at his shocked parents and smiled subtlety “Justice always prevails over Evil. Hopefully when you get out you'll have learned to be proper citizens.” A glowing silhouette of Grand Gallop appeared over top of him, being created from his personal EXD “Don’t worry everything you own is in my name. Toodles.”  Godric was oddly mirthful when they took away his stammering parents who swore up and down they did nothing wrong. The young self-proclaimed hero had sent files of their wrong doings directly to the authorities and companies for amnesty and the ability to keep things with him.

Godric just looked at his Heroes deck, once at his parents as they were taken into custody and walked back inside his new home “Evil must be crushed under the burning heel of justice."

Personality: A lost, lonely boy who lost his family and friends as childhood, but as he open the Red Destiny Door, he know what he doing, he must fight on and on with Light and Destiny until the war end.

Backstory: The war between Light and Darkness, continue to fighting. My Dad is a knight were die in the war, I survive as a children, and the war still continue. My Mom and friends... is dead alongside me and their parent too... there no one survive. As I struggle, walking though dead body, I feel all alone, but there a light floating as i watch so i follow it. At the end of path with no dead body around me, the light stood here... it talking to me. I can't remember he/she saying, but all i heard is "...i'll join your adventure to seek the truth." The light is going... inside my body. This light... i thought Could this mean the path is going on my...?As i continue to walk, there a path between hope and destiny. When i look back, nothing there, just black all over him. There no way out. The feeling of myself have to walk on.

He make his own choice, but his flashback continue to haunt him, bloody of murder friends and family. He walk to Red Destiny path and open the door. As he wake up when the sun shining at him as he laying down the ground, receiving a fire future sword and black long jacket with hoodies. He know what he doing, he dressed up and carrying a fire future sword. His eye changed black eyes into red firing eyes, feeling changed emotion into lonely, and voice turn into deep voice.

Personality: "So this is the place...huh?" She absolutely loathes the world after what happened at the orphanage she was on, she works in a bar and occasionally cardfights with some people once requested, she really hates working there but she does it for the money. She also has the curiosity of a kid, always getting interested in little things then after a few minutes gets bored of everything but cardfighting.
Backstory: She's always been the ignored child, even when being given the highest honors, it seemed that if she didn't exist to anyone else back in the orphanage. As this grew on she developed this laid-back character and proceeded to hate everyone in the orphanage. She then got to the point that she liked to gamble and went to casinos and shady bars, she's been on a roll until an old man stopped her on her tracks and made her work in a old, run-down bar despite her saying he cheated. She saw this as an opportunity and as a curse for hating the people back in the orphanage, she soon saw the card game Cardfight!! Vanguard. Seeing as though it reminded her of the gambling she did back then, she picked up Genesis, a clan that is all about business and made her avatar Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer, Luquier seeing as though she means business. While lacking the money to even want to get involved with the technology known as "EXD" but she plans to use it against the world if much research is gained. "They'll pay for what they did to me...literally."

Personality: "The nicest prick you'll ever meet." There's a lot of things that can describe Barry but what most people agree on is that he is an asshole, but he is the rational kind of asshole. You can say he's the only sane man on some occasions. Despite for his rather unfavorable qualities he loves to do gardening in his spare time and works part time as a florist. He hates being called by his full name, it makes him feel old for some reason and prefers to be called Barry or Bart. He loves to have fun every once in a while which usually involves offending someone in someway so that means he doesn't have a lot of friends but he doesn't mind to much.

Contrary to belief, Barry is quite private with his more personal matters and his quite calm with people he is familiar with. He also doesn't like it when people try to pry into his business when he likes to be left alone.

Backstory: "Barry or Bart is fine by me but never call me Bartholomew, that's a line you never cross." Ever since he was a kid Barry had been enthralled with the world of cray or at least when his brother introduced him to the game of cardfight vanguard. Back then he had a few of his less than favorable qualities but his parents stated that it's probably a phase and get move on but he never did. With the EXD's he was able to visit Cray but he didn't like to go to the vacations spots of United Sanctuary or Magallanica siting them to be boring. Instead he would venture to the wild lands of Zoo and there he met Sephirot and his Royal Guards as well as some Musketeers.

He was initially stopped from coming furthur by the guards due to Barry tresspassing even if by accident. Sephirot however did not mind in fact he was delighted at seeing a human for so long and told his followers/guards to stand back and let him talk to the young Barry. Barry snidely remarked at the guards as they backed away, he couldn't resist doing it. Then both the dragon and barry began to talk about the way of living on earth and cray. Exchanging some info with one another with Bartholomew snidely remarked at some of the controversial debates and battles on Cray which the dragon agreed with on some level.

That day is when both of them made a mutual pact with one another. His tattoo is located at the back of his left hand which takes shape of a two green swords crossing with a silhouette of a dragon head at the back. Since then he was granted access by Sephirot and Alfred to visit the wildlands of the Zoo teritory while he is accompanied by a family member and a member of the royal guard of Sephirot. Currently he is now studying in Japan for his one year overseas studies.

Personality: At his core, Liro is a laid back individual with little concern about most of anything in his life. Make no mistake; his cover of nonchalance hides a storm of glorious ambition and he is far from spineless. Due to the fact that his carefree personality is mostly a facade, certain types of people can very quickly and easily get underneath his skin; even if they don't intend to. Valuing honestly above all else, those who manipulate or lie quickly lose his easy-to-earn respect, though he is (arguably much too) quick to forgive. He dislikes thinking too much about things or complex plans, but will happily engage in a battle of philosophy or values if prompted (and if he likes the other person enough). Fitting with his distaste for lies, he is quite slow to trust and easily fooled through his own panic; often skeptical of every moving shadow around him, though he hides it well. Friends of his would likely describe him as a sort of big brother, due to his warm nature.

Vanguard, to him, is mostly a way of having fun and getting to know people. He strongly believes in the game as a sort of tool, helping him feel more comfortable around people. During a fight, he loses his blasé attitude near instantly, the excitement and the adrenaline quickly becoming too much for him. One time, he flipped a table from Striding his card too hard. He was disqualified from the tournament shortly after. His avatar, Gurguit, often finds him a bit overwhelming, though the two get on very well with similar ideas and a zeal for friendship. Unlike Gurguit, he is very competitive, adding into how quickly he loses his front and how he values his heart over his head. Gut feeling and intuition is worth far more than complex theories and estimated guesses in his book.

Backstory

"¡No perderé!" The boy with sandy blonde hair muttered under his breath. The boy in front of him tilted his head, clearly confused.

"What?" He practically spat. "Hurry up and take your turn," the boy said. His words were laced with venom. They stung more than any slap or kick or punch Liro had felt. The pit in his stomach deepened. A shaking hand gripped the top card of his thinning deck, when the world seemed to stop and stare. The boy, Daniel was his name, looked straight ahead with eyes that saw nothing. The spectators that cheered for his defeat, for the new boy in town to get shown his place, were frozen in animation as if caught in a picture. The world faded. Nothing but black. A single light broke through the darkness similar to the first rays of light spilling onto the dark night sky. It was coming from his Vanguard. It vanished. He stared. Gurguit stood before him, sword drawn and with a face of steel - yet eyes of warmth. Taking Liro's hands into his own, he knelt down to the same level as him. They were somewhere in between Earth and Cray, existing in both and yet neither simultaneously.

"You can't give up anymore," Gurguit spoke to him. Liro gazed at him with eyes full of wonder, a blazing knight the way Liro had always envisioned him.

"I won't." He spoke, and never before had he said words that would stay with him as long as these did.

"Then draw your sword. We'll finish this together." At his words, he felt a warm glow like nothing he'd experienced before. It was like the warm grasp of his mother on their last day together; or the smile his father gave him the first time he scored a basket. He felt tears well up in his eyes; the darkness of loneliness eradicated by the warmth of the sun. There, on his back; a yellow sun, a symbol of hope. Their bond was sealed.

And as quickly as it came, the world returned and exploded in colour; Liro gripping the edge of the table they were playing on. His mind drifted to his grandparents. For their sake, he couldn't let himself be dragged down. He couldn't spoil his new chance. He stood his cards, and drew a card without saying a single word. But then he raised his eyes, and let them meet Daniel's own. The other boy had weak resolve, and little in the way of passion - Liro's were a blazing inferno, glowing with a spirit so strong that the boy seemed physically shocked. Roaring, he drew the top card of his deck.

Knight of Rising Sunshine, Gurguit. "Stride, my Generation!" He declared, slamming his card down. "My victory is as certain as the sun rising. Salvation comes, eradicating the darkness! Come, my avatar! Holy Sword of Heavenly Law, Gurguit!"

Backstory:     She was a little girl with big dreams but always fell behind. Due to her many shortcomings and lack of natural talent, it seemed that she would never measure up to anything. Even her parents thought of changing her name to "Worthless Trash". They enrolled her in many extra curricular activities in hopes of finding something that she is half decent at, but instead the little league baseball team she was in lost so hard because of her that the coach lost his job and got a divorce. There was no hope for her and her parents almost signed a petition for her name change. That was until the fateful day where she was given a present from her favorite celebrity, Ahmes Spencer-Stanhope. "I believe that these cards will show you what you are looking for." He would say, handing her the deck that she uses this very day.     It turns out that she had a very powerful voice. Singing was her talent. She wasn't that bad looking either. She was kind of cute, like around a 4/10 which passed as decent enough to become an idol. With the help of Lauris and the rest of the Bermuda crew she trained her voice to reach frequencies unheard of on Earth. She gained fish scale marks on her legs as the sign of her contract. Whether she was manipulated into it or agreed wholeheartedly is irrelevant because she now fulfilled her dream of becoming good at something even though this really wasn't what she had in mind. Actually what she really is good at is using her voice in tandem with Lauris to destroy things and put people in a state of hypnosis. He had recently joined the terrorist organization out desperation for money. His family had come into tough times after losing a lawsuit against the Spencer-StanHope group and he took it upon himself to do what he is able to in order to pay for their debt. The body thrown into the room was still alive, though thoroughly weakened and in a miserable state. This was the man who was his mentor when he first entered the organization. The man who said to him that today was an important mission. The day that he would stage a false attack so that Ahmes may enter in shining armor and please the crowd.     It may not have looked like it, but his mentor succeeded, and now he was here, gasping for air and writhing in pain on the floor. Nonetheless, the man began to speak to his student. "Looks like today is the day that you become a real member kiddo..." "I-I don't know if I still want to..." He said timidly. "I am the Break Demon God King Sword!"He swung the sword down. "I will slay mankind for their sins!" He lifted the sword up. "I am darkness, hell incarnate!" He swung the sword down. "I will purge the light forevermore!" He lifted the sword up And from then on he spoke such words to cover his guilt for each life that he had taken. It was words that he exclaimed and a personality that he adopted to avert his eyes and ears from the screams of blood and pain. To this very day, he speaks in such a manner in order to clear his conscience. He cleared the test, and Yasuie had for the first time developed. "Stealth Rouge of the Trial, Yasuie..." One night after Kenn was done hanging around the area with a bunch of friends, he felt a sudden exhaustion and his mind started to function slower than usual so he decided to go to bed and sleep, during his sleep he dreamed that he can see very blurry visions of the future but in an unknown condition and in one of those blurry visions, he barely saw that an unpleasant event would happen. He woke up from his sleep and decided to ignore that dream, he saw an unusual deck beside his side table with the card on top being "Mythic Beast,Fenrir". He suddenly was transported to another planet and was confronted by Fenrir, Kenn asked a lot of questions to Fenrir, as to why he was suddenly brought here and such. At the end of their conversation, Fenrir said to Kenn that he wanted to form a contract with him since he had a lot of potential as a human being, Kenn agreed to the contract. After, Kenn was transported back to Earth and decided to join a local tournament with the deck he found on his side table, Kenn came back home tired,slept and had a dream where he couldnt see those blurry visions of the future ever again, because of that unknown condition. Since then, his mind has being functioning slower than how it was before.

It all started when Femoir was 8. His family took the ancient art of the ninjas seriously. One day while he was watching his favourite show Ninjago, his parents forced him to leave the house and never come back. He tried his best to object but that only made things worse for him as he was forced to leave with no supplies except scrolls and a little money As he was walking to get some food at a local store, he saw some cads but the card that he felt a connection to was Shiranui. He spent all his money to buy a deck which he tested against the shop manager and won. 10 minutes later, he wanted to go home to tell his parents what had happened, but was surprised to find his house blown up and no signs of life around.
"Why did this have to happen to me" he cried
"You weren't prepared" said a voice behind him. It looked exactly like the card he was holding except it was real. "We should have trained together and protected your family" it said
Femoir lost his voice he was so surprised he didn't know what to say.
"Will you help me Shiranui if that's what you're called" asked Femoir
"Yes i will. You will be my host and together we shall protect the world so this doesn't happen again" Shiranui said

And ever since that day, Femoir and Shiranui, Comrades in battle decided to use vanguard as a way to protect the world.

Personality: A very energetic person, but usually goes along with the crowd to try and fit in.

Backstory: Joshua is the eldest of three siblings and the only son of Alexander and Julia Hundorous. All throughout his childhood, his family moved a lot due to his parent's lacking pharmaceutical business in order to hopefully find an area with people in need. He never really kept any close friends, except for one. The reason he didn't have any close friends was for two reasons. One, the most obvious, is he never stayed in an area for a long enough time. Second, many judged him as if he was attracted to guys. Which in the placed he had lived was not very common. His best friend, however, kept in touch with him as he moved through the many different cities. His friend, Nate, was not the most popular, which is why he might have stayed friends with him. Their also may have been some affection between them, though Josh will never find out.
                    Josh discovered Vanguard when he moved to a city when he was 15. When he saw his parent's new shop in the newer city (he often forgets these names because of the many places he has been to), he saw a Cardfight Vanguard deck sitting in the middle of the room.

"Dad?" Josh asked, "Did you get this for me?"
"No," Alexander replied. "It was here when we first got the keys to this suite."
"But wait... the realtor said this place has been on the market for like a year."
"I guess she just told her customers to leave the deck their until a person buys this shop."
"Yeah, I guess so."
Josh picks up the cards.
"Black Shiver, Gavrial," he read aloud. "Huh... So it must be that the previous owner had the same profession as you guys. Pretty cool."
                   
                    To this day, he still plays with the same deck that was gifted to him a year ago, but with some minor changes of course. In the present day, he continues his studies at his local high school. Though it is the same as usual, not too many friends and everyone thinks he's gay. But sometimes he can't even deny that because what might have happened between him and his best friend if he were to stick around.

Personality: His personality is somewhat childlike. Very sensitive and can be easily played with. He's also a very hardworking person, being always ahead than anyone else in cases he gets assigned in. Despite that, he has a habit of trying to solve cases all alone, leading him to his trouble. Whenever he solved a very confusing case, he'd always get told that he's just pulling theories out of his mind. Despite all that he always stays loyal to his co-workers and bosses.
Backstory: Ace, the son of a very famous detective. Ever since he was just a child, he looked up to his father. He'd always try to immitate his actions. But whenever he'd boast about his father and how he'll become the next biggest detective, he'd get bullied by his peers. Lots of bullying and picking on Ace, lead him to get very demotivated about growing up and becoming a detective. It also lead to him closing up to himself and not expressing his feelings to anyone. After school, he'd always stay shut in, eating barely any food. Of course his parents got worried but they didn't know how to deal with the situation. His dad especially was the most worried one. That led to him inviting his son to multiple investigations but to no avail.

Some years later. A tragic thing was brought to Ace's life. His dad had disappeared. Ace at that point, realised a lot of wrong things he did in his life and took the matter to his own hands. He investigated the case with little to no infomartion. The detectives couldn't find his father in the end but Ace found one thing that he left behind and that was a vanguard deck, a Dark Irregular deck. At that moment, Ace vowed to become a great detective like his father and always help those in need. He took on his legacy and started working his way up to become the greatest detective, the ace detective. And lastly, his most important goal is to find the person that possibly harmed his father and also dropped the Dark Irregular deck.

Personality:
As a young boy Dante always has been very social, friendly and outgoing. Now at the age of 20, that has only changed slightly due to an incident that occurred in his family's line of work. Still the young man knows how to treat people fairly, friendly, reserved and so on. Although even today at his core he is playful and enjoys a good laugh and a good time. All of this does not stop him from taking his work seriously, he refuses to let the pride and members of his family be harmed above all.

Backstory:
Dante was born in the main family tasked and entrusted with defending the Diablo armor and weapons, out of his 6 siblings he stood out with the most affinity for using the EXD for offense and defense. His fascination towards the style of the Dragwizards drew him to that faction, it also helped that his family were mostly made up of Dragwizard users. A long time has passed since a prodigy was born in the family of protectors who can utilize almost any unit he was asked to use for offense and defense but Dante excellently proved himself as such with his results.
He had trouble maintaining time for his training and cardfighting given how much of a social butterfly he was at a young age, it would develop into tardiness even though he would always get the best results when he did train. Though after the 12th assault on the armor he seemed to change a little. It was the same day that he managed to summon a rare and powerful unit to help stop the assault, however the day he gained someone was the day he lost another. The loss was very heavy on him, he was in tears, depressed and refused to interact with anyone for two weeks, except his new-found friend from the incident since he stuck to him.

“…What would you have me do?”
“What would you have done?”
“….”
The 13th assault was the day Dante returned from his isolation from his friends and family, fueled by the desire to not have any casualties from actions of greedy and malicious people and units alike. “Arise my avatar! Dragheart Luard!” was all that was heard to end the 13th assault as a seal appeared on the left side of his chest, and from then on he devoted to try and master the power he could draw out from the EXD for Luard and Diablo. That was 5 years ago. He has been more committed since then and slowly began to loosen up overtime, as he tried to enjoy the game aspect of Vanguard, his smile returning and his hopes reviving even if he sees himself as someone without much of a purpose and just a “shield”, but he’ll gladly take that if it means he can keep those he cares about safe.
“I will not forget your words and someday, I’ll find you.”

Personality: Mikazuki is the type of guy to go with the flow living life day to day taking what comes at him when it comes to him. He is a hard working guy who doesn't believe that being born with talent makes you great but those who continuously work to get better are. He doesn't take things for granted and is pretty opened minded about things as long as he as enough information about the subject. Mikazuki won't normally take sides in things and tends to stay neutral as much as possible. He can be a bit too straightforward with his words and doesn't really care about people's social status. If he likes or dislikes someone or something he'll let you know. Although he isn't much of talker in the first place so he tends to get to the point quickly and doesn't like long conversations.

Backstory: Mikazuki is the illegitimate child of a famous Shrine Maiden, named Yuki Kamikage. The Kamikage are the main family tasked with keeping all Shinto shrines in check, in other words, the leaders of all Shinto shrines. Yuki had fallen in love with another man, a foreigner at that which was even more taboo. Yuki was seeing him behind her family's back but the Kamikage found out and made him disappear. Soon after she was found out to be pregnant with Mikazuki. She ended up having him but died shortly after giving birth to him. He was placed under the care of the main family.

The main family shunned Mikazuki for most of his life. He was treated differently from most of the family and was basically a servant for the main family. He did odd jobs around the family’s multiple shrines. He had to work for his keep even though he had the family blood in him.

One day when he was 8 he was cleaning a shrine and accidentally stumbled into a room. The room had some of the head family in it as well as Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo. Mikazuki wasn’t allowed to much free time so he didn’t know much about vanguard. He sat there and just looked at the 3 in wonder. The head immediately kicked Mikazuki out before apologizing. Susanoo was kind of in a daze after seeing Mikazuki. She demanded that they bring him back in here.

The family followed her orders and brought him back in. Once he was back in Susanoo made a contract with him. Mikazuki didn’t see a reason to reject it and let it happen. The family, on the other hand, tried with all their might to interrupt it but were stopped by Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. The family tried to stop it because only true members of the family could be paired with those 3. Mikazuki's hair changed to white and he was given the ability to see into the future and summon Susanoo's sword if needed as a sign of his contract with Susanoo.

After this Mikazuki was publicly brought into the family and was trained in many things so he wouldn’t bring shame to his family. It's now 8 years later, Mikazuki traveled to CLA to go around checking in on branch families and taking care of some local shrines. He lives day to day hoping that nothing bad will happen.

Personality: Hotheaded, inconsiderate, loud, headstrong, impulsive and short-tempered. Is quick to get into a fight and has a delinquent-like attitude. He goes out of his way to entertain his audience and often treats his opponent has little more for entertainment for himself and his fans. Despite his hotheaded tendencies, Flame is generally laid back, lazy and uninterested unless someone peaks his interest in which he becomes very impulsive and narrow-minded. Finally, he has an enormous ego which becomes apparent when dealing with people who aren't on his level. Likes: Fire, taking naps, Hates weaklings and people who hold back. Favorite Saying: "Solve it with fire!"



Background:
He is a strong fighter whose theatrics and skill has gotten him a lot of attention. His hot-headed demeanor and rudeness toward his opponent has given him as many haters as fan and he is a controversial topic among people who follow strong fighters. However, for the longest time he has not chosen an avatar saying that none of them could match his intensity. It wasn't until he met Dragonic Blademaster in a chance encounter did he meet someone whose soul blazes as hot as his own. Ever since his chance encounter he has been quick to take risks and doesn't mind believing in luck.
