Any disconnections from a game due to error message (with proof provided) is warranted a rematch if it's the first one. Otherwise, disconnections are treated as a game loss and any further disconnections are considered an instant match loss towards the disconnected player. (Exceptions being if the entire server disconnects and multiple participants have disconnected.)
After a round has started, you have ten minutes to begin your cardfight. If you are not present for your fight after ten minutes, your opponent can call
Tardiness
and you will be given a Match Loss.
Additionally, it is encouraged to
ping your late opponent within the Cardfight Area Discord Server, but doing so
is not mandatory
as it is their responsibility for showing up to the tournament.
If you do not make any legitimate movements for more than 5 minutes, your opponent can call
Stalling
and recieve a Game Loss. You cannot be away from your fight for more than 5 minutes unless you inform your opponent that you need to step away from the match. In addition you can only step away from a fight twice. If more, than your opponent can call
Stalling
and you'll recieve a Game Loss.
A round will be given an hour for players to fight before advancing to the next round. In 45 minutes after a round has started, if fights are still in progress, at the end of that turn, the player with most damage loses the game.
If both players damage are equal, they will go into
Time
- in which both players will be given an additional turn. At the end of each turn, the player with the most damage loses the game. If both player's damages are equal during
Time
, both will recieve a Game Loss.
If both players were playing their first game during
Time
, score being 0-0, the player who wins the game will be declared the winner of the match. If both players received a Game Loss, they will start the next game under
Sudden Death
- at the end of each turn, the person with the highest damage loses.
Additionally, during Single/Double Elimination, you may begin your next round fights if agreed upon by you and your opponent without having to wait for a round advancement announcement.
All players must be cardfighting during the round unless your match has finished. If a player has not finished their match and is watching a separate match, then it is considered
Stalling
and will recieve a game loss.
Announce the distribution of effects! (i.e. Any unit that obtains a critical effect or would via skills or critical triggers must be brought to the opponents knowledge.) 1st Offense is a warning, second offense is a game loss.
No deck changing/editing under any circumstances whatsoever!
If you are caught using an illegal deck, you will be disqualified from the tournament.
Any moves, illegal or lack of moves, that alter the game to an irreversible state may be reported. If reported, the game will end and the offender will be given a Game Loss and proceed to the next fight. Any further illegal moves throughout the entire tournament will result in a match loss. (Do note however,
it must be reported before the match ends
.)
Any incident involving drama, bad sportsmanship, or disrespect, with proof, can be looked into and result in a removal from the tournament.
Any use of unofficial updates/cards that results in the opponent from disconnecting: will result in an immediate removal from the tournament.
At the end of the tournament, winners may submit their winning deck lists to the host for it to be posted on the final results post. This is not mandatory but an voluntary option.
