To Fourm Admins and Makers of CFA/BFA- Possible Quality of Life Additions

(1/1)

KettouRyuujin:
I'd like to ask about a code of conduct in CF/BF Area and ways to enforce it. Recently, as an opponent left a game for a rather flimsy reason, they outright insulted me - they told to *censored* off and that I was, ah, "mentally deficient". Furthermore, I've recently seen an issue where one player was accused of cheating, and neither would leave until one player would concede the point.

These two issues have inspired me to ask that there be a code of conduct in the games that establishes what can and cannot be done, said, etc. To my knowledge, there is a CoC for the fourms and for the Discord server, but the game itself has no such rules. Furthermore, I'd like to ask that there be moderators, administrators, or some other people who can enforce the CoC. This way, people can report CoC violations and they can be handled properly, as well as have a third party able to determine whether cheating actually happened or not (whether right away or in review). This also can prevent a toxic community from forming with lots of insults and all, and if someone tries to threaten another player they can be swiftly dealt with.

I understand this won't be easy to implement, but... I feel like it would help things quite a bit.

I'd also like to ask that something be done to encourage people to be more patient in games, if possible. I've had my opponents leave my games several times due to me not having the seemingly split-second reaction timing they desired, and it's honestly annoying. It feels like if I look away for more than 5 seconds, my opponent will leave...and with life being the unpredictable thing it is, I can't guarantee that I won't be looking away for over 5 seconds during any game.

If this isn't feasible, I'll understand. This is admittedly a bit of a personal request. However, I'd greatly appreciate it if people were encouraged to not expect reaction times within the 5/10/15/20 second range all the time.

Thank you very much for reading my post and considering my suggestions.

EDIT: So, in my slight fervor to request these, I didn't notice that in-game modding had been requested and is already under consideration. I'm not changing my request because I feel like my request casts a slightly wider net than what was discussed in the original thread, but if necessary I will change my post so I'm not bringing up an old issue.
