Ancient World has been the worst world since its release. The Golden Buddy Pack and a few recent promos have only recently brought it up to competitive viability. Previously, the Dungeon World trial deck was stronger than Ancient World. Dragon World was never overpowered, just overplayed and oversupported. Magic World and Dungeon World were the overpowered decks in the sets 1-2 and 3 formats, and even Dungeon World can be argued with because it was dominating because it was easy to get into with its trial deck, and it rewards players for playing the game properly (you get to draw cards when you kill things), which caused people to play the game properly (swinging into monsters instead of trying to end the game as fast as possible). Once people started main-decking item destruction and realized that Dungeon World plays with an open center, and only has 4 attack negates and 4 destruction spells, we were able to see how frail it has the potential of being, in spite of its incredible toolbox.Yes, I've performed dozens of FTK's in Vanguard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Alp5Cphxi3E I've even FTK'd in Vanguard when my Vanguard was perfect guarded. (Tidal Assault A -> Tidal Assault A w/ boost -> Pavroth with soul req. met was null guarded, hit a critical -> Tidal B with 2 crit -> Tidal B with 2 crit.)Laurel + Platinum Ace + Critical Trigger on the first check can give you an instant 6 damage on turn 2. This is how I've gotten the majority of my FTK's.I'm not trying to turn this into a Buddyfight is better/worse than Vanguard thread. Just dispelling these incorrect statements.Back to the topic of the client. A subforum alone with a Q&A or rulings section alone would be amazing. I could see why it would be troublesome to have a judge symbol in the game. I just want to push a system where "the correct answers" can be attained from. Even the wiki has had incorrect rulings up for months and months (as an example, they said wait until your move phase to cast Dragobond, even though Moving occurs first, so you wouldn't be able to cast Dragobond in the first place, as you'd have a monster in your center). Players try to rush Counter Timings as well, so if we could a Main Phase -> Move Phase -> Battle Phase step indicator, that'd be great. Although, both players have to agree to go to the next phase before it can actually happen, so I see having phase options at all as a potential issue. This isn't the client's fault, but people are going to play cards out of order without giving their opponents proper time to respond to their actions. ~_~
Well, considering that you can't attack on the first turn if you go first, I still count a turn 2 OTK as a FTK.A first turn kill can also be done in Vanguard by the player going second using a few contrived means. Like them guarding a Nova Grappler Vanguard that has out three or more Cat Butlers, and them hitting critical triggers each time they restand their Vanguard.DPolice can play grade 1 rush style, have a Vanguard swing and get a crit (2 damage), restand it with Laurel keeping another frontrow standing, attack with VG again hitting a crit (5 total damage), then swinging with the last RG for game.Vanguard games can end just as stupid fast as any other card games.
