Title: [Shadow Paladins]Gust Blaster
Post by: Hagoromo Kitsune on September 13, 2014, 12:27:21 AM
Decklist:

G0
1x fullbau
4x grim reaper
4x freezing revenger
4x abyss freezer
4x abyss healer

G1
4x blaster javelin
3x nightmare painter
4x darkness shield, mac lir
3x black sage, charon

G2
4x blaster dark
3x knight of nullity, masquerade
3x blaster dark spirit

G3
3x phantom blaster dragon
2x illusionary revenger, mordred phantom
4x gust blaster dragon

Tactic:
abuse nightmare painters skill to fill your soul with blasters, and the breakride helps with the extra power as well as an extra rear-guard to retire, i tried this combo once and achieved 8 critical at 51k power.

Why play so many Critical triggers when Ghast is your Critical win condition? If anything, I'd play more draw power to make up for its mass retiring. I'd also play Nemain and max Ghast's number.

the criticals are just for fun and applying pressure
and why more draw when you can just no guard the opponent

I'm not following that second line of logic about no guarding = no need for more draw.

because i can just drive check a draw trigger to draw a card

What exactly makes you think you're always getting a Draw Trigger most of the time? Especially with only 4 of them in a 50 card deck.

And what Lucius said. What exactly is your plan if you're on 4-5 damage?

Hope to get a heal trigger or use a perfect guard if possible

... If you use a Perfect Guard you're not going to Damage Check that draw trigger. And your other choice of banking on a Heal for a draw...

Is playing more draw power really that unreasonable?

never mind, gameplay is stable so it's a little bit okay

If your low Grade 2 count starts bothering you, don't be afraid to drop a Phantom Blaster.

how about you add Phantom Blaster "Abyss" and put more revengers in your deck that way you can get 2 Blaster for one ride e.e

lol I was just about to say that. I do that with mine. 4 Abyss , 4 Cormac, 2 Gust for late game. and 10 g2's , 13 g1's for 10 g3s total. and 6 draw 6 crit.

Blaster Mameshiba would be OP in this deck.

I would have suggested that myself but I feel that's more of an overall different build and wasn't sure if Promise would be willing to completely revamp it. Revengers make Ghast a better backup, but the simplicity of the Ride Chain with some Nemains can go the mile in just setting up everything faster.

I've been trying Ghast Revenge myself. I don't like it solely because Ghast feels very useless beyond a last-shot gamble despite being the main idea in the deck. It's ultimately up to you and we can help you build it if you want.

Also,
>Blaster Mameshiba
This guy knows what's up.

Well if you wanted soul that badly, you can just do

4 MLB, 4 Gust, 4 BB/BD etc and use MLB skill a few times then ride gust. (other units besides BB/MLB are SP ofc) Then LB lol

Record: 12 in soul = delt 13 dmg lol. +12 crit.

... Well, that is definitely another way to do it. Majesty/Ghast is pretty viable since the setup is easy and most Perfect Guards will be dropped on Majesty Lord.
