Title: [Royal Paladin] A Seekers true path
Post by: [SE] Tidus on September 18, 2014, 07:16:20 AM
Starting Vanguard

Ambrosius

Trigger lineup

8 crit
4 draw
4 heal

All seeker triggers

Grade 1

4x Seeker Perfect guard
3x Seeker Hasbado
3x Seeker Octavius
2x Seeker GLynn gal
2x Seeker Cynric

Grade 2

3x Blaster Blade Seeker
3x Light blaze dragon
3x crossbow seeker Gildas
3x Seeker Cerdic

Grade 3

4x Seeker Alfred
3x Seeker light saver dragon

Strategy

Ability to manipulate field with consistent superior calling and applying pressure columns and extra crit with alfred and 5 then apply finishing power with light saver and numerous power up lanes requiring numerous amount of shield.

Ambrosius is a free discard to draw to help fuel up legion and create usage for Octavius which is to soul blast 2 to draw 1.

I wanted to try seeker without the sing saver theme as I find it dull as hell to play

Definitely good to see non-Thing Saver included variants of Alfred. It's great that Light Saver can develop the insane momentum of endless Superior Calls so Alfred doesn't have to spend much of anything for his Critical.

Though, have you considered Lien? Cycling through cards and fueling an extremely early Alfred Legion is great. Comboed with Ambrosius, it's even faster. Octavius amps the speed too. With all of them, you should always be able to Legion turn 3 or 4 and get everything you'd like fairly quickly.

I have tried lien. But the fact she's not a seeker hurts this deck of its counterblast. Both g3 need seeker counterparts to work with and that is what I aim to use with it

While it does hurt Especial Counterblast needs, you could always flip a Damaged Lien with Blaster Blade or Gildas. It won't be a total loss that way.

I rarely ever use blaster blade seeker retiring skill. It's always been on the vanguard. Plus I'd rather attack with it than set up legion cause I can be able to get legion with ease on turn 3/4.

Fair enough. Octavius is a lifesaver for faster paced Legion without Lien. How often do you use Gildas in the same case though? You said it was always on the Vanguard so I wasn't sure, but I believe you'd be using him regularly.

Maybe try one or two Celyns to make a more definitive finisher turn with Light Saver? +9 to the frontrow is super crazy. Though, it eats up Counterblasts for your Grade 3s too...

If i have 3 open cb with alfred as vg. I always search Gildas then legion searching for Octavius or if I run out then that g1 that goes with blaster blade seeker unflipping skill.
