Title: Granblue Basskirk Throwback
Post by: Dullahan on September 18, 2014, 06:27:58 PM
with how fast the game is growing nowadays, I believe we can't forget to slow down every once in a while (unlike some card games), and enjoy what we once had that got us this far.  And what's not better than explaining one of the most under-developed, under-appreciated clans back in the day- the Granblue.

Grade 0-17-
Guiding Zombie (starting)(helps soulcharge for Basskirk, or mills Spirit Exceed.)
4 Knight Spirit (critical)
4 Rough Seas Banshee (critical)(helps soulcharge for Basskirk.)
4 Hook-wielding Zombie (draw)
4 Rick the Ghostie (heal)

Grade 1- 15-
4 Dandy Guy, Romario
4 Gust Jinn (perfect guard)
4 Samurai Spirit
3 King Seahorse/Chappie the Ghostie (interchangeable really.  Whether I'm more worried about boosting or guarding, I can change one to the other; point is they should put a Spirit Exceed in the drop.)

Grade 2- 10-
4 Commodore Blueblood (lol I keep calling him "Trueblood" for some reason.)
4 Ruin Shade (mill 2 and becomes 11k attacker.)
2 Skeleton Swordsman (10k interceptor.)

Grade 3- 8:
4 King of Demonic Seas, Basskirk (main focus.  hopefully by my 5th damage I should have enough soul to megablast and fill my entire field.)
4 Spirit Exceed (Superior Rider, and helps fill soul.)

It's really sad how Bushi never expanded on Megablasters, except Amaterasu with an invested revival Legion...

well they did give us really good mega blasters like Stil Vampir, Amaterasu, Agravain, Basskirk, lohengrin, and maybe Mr. Invincible if you want to count him. But maybe those are all we need, after them every other Mega Blaster was pretty much a Mr. Invincible clone.

Needs more legions with Megablasting mates ^

That or Lohengrin clones.

I wouldn't exactly call Basskirk one of the better ones except in old Kagero matchups but I see your point. Though, those Megablasters had amazing cards backing them. Vampir had his whole clan and Lohengrin had Barcgal. Mr. Invincible wasn't able to do much since Novas never had reliable soul charging but the skill was still insanely nutty.

Some new good megablasters with good support would be nice instead of thirty million busted bosses with new mechanics.

... Eh, I digress. You can get away with a couple of newer cards here like the ones that gain power when revived. One or two Undead Dragons (the Grade 2) wouldn't hurt. You could probably play Peter the Ghostie over Guiding Zombie and just rip a heal.

heck, maybe megablasting would be the next big thing for season 5.  I highly doubt it, but I'm not going to refuse it.

That would be amazing. Some 11k Megablasters would be hilarious.

oh yeah, a retrained Basskirk at 11k that would megablast to send 5 cards from drop back to deck, then call 5 units from drop to field, and give each of them power +3000 until end of turn.

...i think that sounds a bit silly.

Crossride that revives everything with +5000 for the turn then unflips for each revive?

that actually sounds more like a UB skill IMO.
