Title: You guys got Petal Flare Dracokid's skill wrong.
Post by: LinkyFerrisclaw on September 23, 2014, 06:41:45 PM
His same-column retire schtick was apparently mistranslated. His real effect is basically Fargo.

http://cardfight.wikia.com/wiki/Perdition_Dragon,_Petal_Flare_Dracokid

[AUTO]: Forerunner (When a unit of the same clan rides this unit, you may call this unit to (RC))

[AUTO](RC):[Put this unit into your soul] When your vanguard performs Legion, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose your vanguard, and until end of turn, that unit gets "[AUTO](VC):When this unit's attack hits, choose one of your opponent's rear-guards, and retire it.".

... Well that certainly explains why people use it over Fargo.

Until cfa fixes that skill, I prefer Sadig simply because it doesn't have to do with columns, *overlord units*, specific requirements (Opponent doesn't have a unit in same column on either side.)

fargo is still a better option imo since its skill is an act skill (you can choose the timing, but with petal flare you may only activate it when ur vg performs legion)

Thing is , that only benefits "Overlord" units. It won't do you any good for the other Legion that you use.

Yea I know but most likely youre gona use it with BR overlord or the Great anyway. Most other kagero builds youre gona run red pulse (ex: for newt/laser you need the bullets, or in the case of newt/dauntless so u can BR more consistently)

There's always Vortex/Great and another involving Breakdown. ... Or heaven forbid, Claws Vile. Anyway, thing is definitely great for a massive field wipe whenever desired, and doesn't make too much of a difference from Fargo except if you're playing more Overlords with the Great.

But this can go in a card/deck discussion thread. This isn't the place for it, I think.

The thing about him is that it doesnt have to hit a vanguard. So The Great and dragonic overlord breakride are at least a 2 unit kill.
EDIT: Nvm fargo is too lol

Actually, the it being on-Legion is a thinly-veiled [ACT] skill, and if he could be usable all of the time... Good god. Despite this, he's still superior to Fargo in PURE Perdition boss decks (Basically DOTG-Dragonewt) simply because all your Vanguards (ideally DOTG, but Dragonewt-chan can also work with it if you want to pressure the ever-loving fudge out of... Let's say a Metalborg Player.) work with him, and it also helps that his art so gud. ^_^

I dunno why he had to make a new thread about this since the card errors thread already exist which he did post in.
