51 cards...?
Is so many Pain Lasers really necessary?

Also, doesn't Kai use Vortex with Overlord? I don't think he used Pain Laser alongside the Great. Unless he did in Neon Messiah.
-
His decklist in Neon Messiah was 4 Overlord 3-4 Pain Laser, I'm pretty sure. His Overlord decklist prior to Neon Messiah hasn't been shown.
-
We saw him play Vortex against Gaillard, so I'm pretty sure he uses the great and vortex together in Season 4
Also, why would he switch to Pain laser? Maybe to save cbs?

Saving counterblasts and playing Menace Laser. Menace Laser being an incredibly cheap Berserk Dragon is amazing even for the Great who already tears apart rearguards. It's great here for the same reason but Pain Laser himself isn't exactly something you realistically want to resort to unless you didn't draw Overlord. It's basically the best non-boss Perdition so it's amazing backup. But it's like Percival. It has utility purposes, but never do you actually want it.
That's why I wanna say drop Pain Laser to 2 here. But then I noticed you're not playing Gojo?
