Title: Break Ride - Stride mechanics
Post by: MegatronX on November 09, 2014, 04:07:33 AM
Hey guys ! So I'll keep it short . What do you guys think ? Is it possible for a break-ride , Stride combo. I mean will I still be able to use the Break-Ride skill after the stride , considering Stride comes after Break-Ride and I know for one that nobody will use Break-Ride in the Manga or Anime so.. Need help

Sorry to disappoint you, but no.
Striding is not riding. You are simply making your Bread Ride VG into a heart and are not riding over it.So, the skill doesn't trigger and thus the Break ride doesn't happen.

if you mean first breakride with another G3 and then stride then no that won't work since the stride unit only gains the Name and original power of the vanguard he strides on.

If you mean some combos of normally Break Riding then Stridding to still make use of a Break Ride skill, there's several ways to do so.

Gancelot allows you to retain power on your Rearguards, Spinodriver allows you to still get your draws, Weathercloth/Igition Dragon still retire, and so on.

Stride does not copy skills, nor gained skills, and does not qualify as a "Ride" so Break Riding a Stride is impossible if that's what you meant. It will not work if you plan to combo it with Dauntless Drive or Dragonic Overlord's Break Ride form or Ashley's Critical +1.

but i think they will produce more and more units like Chrono Jet and Altomile, so break ride will be less useful in Stride build deck because units like Chrono jet n Altomile work exactly like break ride, unless your deck main aim is to break ride. Stride is just for support.

It's also possible to sit on a break ride striding over it then break riding a g3 from your hand later. Something like Daikaiser might like that a lot till they get stride support. Though it's not the best thing and like others have said Striding on a Breakride does not give you breakride skill.
