Title: [Nova Grappler] Extreme Flare (Viktor/Mega Flare)
Post by: colonel830303 on December 24, 2014, 07:20:26 PM
G0(19):

1x Evolving Reincarnation, Miraioh (FV)
2x Cat Butler
4x Red Lightning (Crit)
3x Raizer Crits
4x Raizer Draws
1x Other NG Draw
4x Raizer Heals

G1(13):

4x Lady Cyclone (new PG)
2x Energy Charger
3x Extreme Battler, Arasheed
4x Screamin' and Dancin' Announcer, Shout

G2(11):

4x Extreme Battler, Sazanda
3x White Hank
2x Ultimate Raizer, Dual Flare
2x Street Bouncer

G3(7):

4x Extreme Battler, Viktor
3x Ultimate Raizer, Mega Flare

G-Zone( 8 ):

4x Meteorkaiser, Vikt Ten
4x Meteorkaiser, Viktplasma

General Strategy:

This deck seems inconsistent at first but there is a way to kinda get away it. Early game you can use Shout to filter out the cards you don't need in exchange for draws. Street Bouncer + Miraioh combo is also good to get more draw powers while getting striding materials. If you can manage to get 2 souls on turn 2 (simply just ditch Miraioh to soul for G3 search), Energy Charger becomes early game for extra draws.

Ideally you want to ride on Viktor first so that you can launch multiple attacks when you perform stride. Use Viktor's Heart Beat or GB2/White Hank's GB skill to restand Sazanda to create a monster column. If you're falling behind in damage you can even put the Crits on Sazanda for twice multi-crit swings. Depending on the situation  you can use either Viktplasma/Mega Flare Legion for the final push. Viktplasma provides you multiple vanguard swings along with Viktor's Heart Beat skill to pump up Sazanda for more rear guard swings, providing if you have enough CBs for the combo. If you have used all the CBs use Mega Flare + Cat to for the 2 Crit swings. Normally your opponent will no guard or you can use Cat's skill to restand the Legion for more drive checks.

you wanna know why you are having consistency issues??
It's obvious because you teched in butler and messed up your grade ratio

Here is the key,use only 5-6 G3 and max draw power if you want kitty tech.Honestly if you focus on stride kitty is less effective since you 1.use more G3 since you need to stride so kitty will cost consistensy and 2.If you stride your vg is not legion anymore so no more restand.So legion focus : less G3 and Stride focus : 8 G3

i don't think that you should use a cat butler in a deck that only has 3 Legions and add more Raizer since Mega Flares 3rd skill only stands Raizer. By the way having only 2 dual flare is pretty low...

Yeah I'd make the mate at least 3 for Mega Flare since you don't you can always take out a White Hank

It's sort hard to comment on this when it looks really... jammed and forced.

Cat really prefers more Legions and Viktor would rather hog the game to himself and Strides with his Heart Beat. I understand the theory of like, waiting until you run out of Counterblasts to keep swinging with Mega Flare, but uhhh... I can't describe it well here but it just feels really off.

How's Final Wrench been working out for you?

Decide to drop off Cat & MF since they're  horrible fits with Viktor. I've even tested Drill Wing w/o Cat, but still they fail to get along with each other. Eventually I decided to make Shriek my alt G3 since he's not a bad first ride.

Here is the tentative update list:

G0:

-1 Miraioh (no point to use him as FV as I'm running regular 8 G3's)
+1 Ranball
-2 Cat

G1:

-2 Energy Charger (this deck rarely has soul to filter with the current lineup)
+1 Arasheed (Stride fuel)
+2 Clyadoll (Unflip, also a 7k attacker/booster)

G2:

-2 Dual Flare
+2 Ganzock (Early Beat)

G3:

-3 Mega Flare
+4 Shriek

So stand vs draw,how well draw works? If not energy girl as stand is gonna be amazing to stand unit by boosting,also all skill that require stand by card effect counts stand triggers.

This deck already stands enough. If played properly I can still rack 4-5 attacks in a turn even without a stand trigger.

Update once more since I still get iffy on not being able to shove triggers back to deck. Eventually I decide to bring Mega Flare back in.

Update List:

G0:

-1 Ranball
+1 Miraioh (Combo pieces as well as G3 search for stride fuel)
+2 Cat (for MF)

G1:

-2 Claydoll (Unflippers are good but isn't really needed for this deck as I have a backup plan when I'm out of CB)
-1 Arasheed (for more fieldable early boosters)
-4 Wrench (drop it in exchange for consistency)
+2 Energy Charger (Soul filter as well as draw source)
+4 Shout (Hand Filter so It's less likely to grade lock)

G2:

-2 Hedgedog (a bit slow comparing to Bouncer which can be fielded on turn 2)
-2 Ganzock (might put it back if I find the RG lanes are weak)
+2 Dual Flare (Legion purpose)
+2 Street Bouncer (Early game combo pieces for draw power)

G3:

-4 Shriek
+3 Mega Flare
