I have been playing both games since they were out and I would like to know which one do you prefer and why...
-
So far I prefer Cardfight. Although there has been a lot of changes since Cardfight!! Vanguard started, I still really like the game, and prefer it to Buddyfight.
I got into Cardfight during the early stages of the game, around set 3. To me it was very interesting and I really liked the art for the cards. Triggers are in my opinion an added excitement for the game. It was fun watching the game evolve as I improve and try to adapt to each changes.
When Buddyfight was first announced I thought it was a very cool idea. However, when the actual cards came out and I tried the game, I did not like it as much. Games turned out to end way too quickly and I did not really found a card I liked. My favorite world in the game currently is Magic world.

I prefer vanguard. While having never played buddyfight so far, I've watched the episodes and the cards, and the whole gameplay and I can say it doesn't excite me at all... At first I thought I'd like it, but changed my mind.

Vanguard. I lost faith in Buddyfight after they nerfed Katana World ;w;
-
Vanguard, all the way. I do have a Buddyfight deck, but it's all just cards I got for free when a friend bought a box XD As fun as buddyfight is, I feel the games are just way too fast. So many cards are already extremely powerful, that I'm scared what the power creep is gonna do for them.

Vanguard by far lol. Watched the show and stuff and it doesnt seem like Bushiroad even put that much thought into the game lol. Seems too much like Yugioh taking monsters etc, then using spells. Was kinda disapointed when i saw the show and stuff. they made it look like it'd be really fun then i saw all the episodes etc and rules and im like "This isnt that great of a game lol "

They nerfed Katana World? I didn't know that.
As for me, I prefer Buddyfight. It just feels more strategic to me. While I don't hate it, I don't actually like how automatic Vanguard is. The gauge's existence in Buddyfight limits your move more, so you have to think about what to do. Same thing for Size. Not to mention the luck factor in Buddyfight isn't as huge as it is in Vanguard, so there isn't actually a thing I would call sacking in Buddyfight. So overall, I prefer Buddyfight (Could've wrote more, but I don't know how to word it :P). I'm not very keen on the art though.

Hmm 2 comments. 1st how did they nerf Katana World like it is stated. 2nd I wanna hear more about a player that supports budddyfighting.
Last but not least I would like to express my opinion too. Well like I already mentioned started Cardfighting (At the end of Season 1) and Buddyfighting (When the TDs where introduced) instantly. These 2 games are very different. Vanguard needs strategy but Luck Factor is almost raised to 70% of the games, which means No Triggers=Lose. Buddyfight does not have these problems althought OTKing and FTKing in 1st, 2nd or 3rd turn it still makes me pissed... So that's the reason I wanna hear all the arguments about it...

Sorry, I really don't know how to word it. Most of the main reason why I prefer Buddyfight is already stated in my first post though.

I prefer cardfight, buddyfight's fine and all that, though the thing that irks me is A) the a-typical 'girls are cheerleaders' role ala Yugioh and B) their artwork seems totally geared towards the jr. highschool, middle school and below crowd.

yeah it seems more like a childish/for younger players type of game rather than for older players but it does have that "Yugioh" type thing to it as well.

Cardfight Vanguard is the best TCG i know if it would have been released before Yu-Gi-Oh it might have become more popular than it
-
Buddyfight seems dump to me. I never tried but watched the anime. It basically says: "I am a douchebag and I win."
-
Buddyfight over Vanguard for me. It's an incredibly fun game and requires more strategy than people think. I play both but am more invested in buddyfight as a whole. While I enjoy vanguard, there is a different spirit to fighting along side your avatar then just becoming them.
-
vanguard~cause i like checking triggers~
-
i dont know to play buddyfight lol and i like playing cardfight vanguard :D

I absolutely love Buddyfight. But not the show. Dear lord not the show. The show is one of the worst things I've seen since Redakai *shivers*
The game itself is really well put together. The short game aspect isn't really an issue. Its a result of skipping the whole aspect of card games where you have your early game where you're building up resources before you can make your big plays. Unfortunately, such an aspect necessitates a luck factor that can result in a player being unable to actually play the game. We see this in things like gradelock and manascrew in Vanguard and MTG. No matter how likely or unlikely these events are to occur, they still exist, and that's a problem. Buddyfight skips out on it by giving you access to 3 gauge from Turn 1...and this means skipping the early game, which makes games quite short. Add on to that that items tend to get overestimated and used a bit more than they really should, and we have very quick games. Some decks, like Inferno Armor Dragon based decks, can still make a game last for a long time, sometimes even causing a player to deck out. xD
Of course, there are the rulings that went into effect...3 days ago, I believe? Due to these ruling changes, Katana World was nerfed significantly, as they essentially lack a negation spell. They're getting a new one soon, but we're unsure of exactly when its releasing, and they really shouldn't have made this ruling change until after Katana World's new negate releases. Regardless, this will be a non-issue upon the release of the negate, but this is happening during the first batch of tournaments, so...ugh.
Overall though, I definitely prefer Buddyfight to Vanguard now. Vanguard still has its merits, but the fact is that Vanguard's luck factor is far too high for it to sufficiently reward skill. Buddyfight is different. I rarely, if ever, feel like I lost solely due to sack, and have gone nearly undefeated at locals due to this, and after losing so many games I know I shouldn't have in Vanguard, its refreshing.
-
Buddyfight is a really great game to play, I really enjoy playing Katana World and Dragon World, Danger World is nice too. It really is a game of skill, and its just so much fun. I think Vanguard is great too, although I absolutely hate getting gradelocked, because then its just no fun to be behind while your opponent swings at you with a G3 while you sit on a G1, but its still a fun game, love the anime for both games, they're just so much fun for me.
-
I was actually really on the fence between which I would prefer.
Though with Ancient world making it's appearance I actually have
some desires to play it. Anyways I prefer Vanguard since it's the
first time ever that a card game has made me quite excited.
-
At the moment I am really enjoying Buddyfight. I am finding the lack of luck sacking triggers to be great. I also like that the games are often different, even when using the same deck. With vanguard its basicly the same everytime. Also no more getting grade stuck.
I still love vanguard, but buddyfight is fresh, and lacking a lot of the things i dislike about vanguard.
So at the moment, buddyfight is more interesting to me :)
This is likely to change when we see rens new units :P

bf and cf have a defferance play. if u want to play with more thinking + luck, play vg.
because bf, is more than think. u must build deck that can support your style that make every card have value better than vg that now play with sub-clan such as liberator only can use his skill with liberator.
u must think care fully every step on your bf, 'couse if there wrong step it will be ur lose.
in vg if u have a good luck, u can make trun the table. but the hard one that is make ur hand can def ur opp atk and combine the card skill.

where i live buddyfight community is dead lol :( cant even sell my buddyfight decks

Prefer both but more vanguard because vanguard is more fun it brings risk with you and exitment with trigger checks and also with guarding. In buddyfight only exitment that there is is green dragon shields and all like those counter cards but game ends too fast.I like playing in buddyfight with Dragon World most.
-
Cardfight!!Vanguard ~~<3 Buddyfight is kinda boring .........
-
Let's back on this topic.
I prefer Vanguard since I'm not playing any TCG
-
Buddyfight is creative and innovative.
Vanguard every skill is restand/glory/tom/critical +1.
If it isn't obvious, Buddyfight is the superior game. Mind you, Vanguard is getting more creative lately, which is a plus.
