Title: [Oracle Think Tank] Magus Deck
Post by: mizzu321 on May 16, 2014, 05:02:50 PM
hello , first of all i'm pretty new in here so i want you all to check my deck ,it's my first deck that i make i think there something missing in this deck so i want to hear what you thought.

Starter :

x4 Sphere Magus (Also a Heal Trigger)

Grade 0 :

x4 Victory maker (Draw)
x4 Psychic Bird (Critical)
x4 Oracle Guardian, NIke (Critical)

Grade 1 :
x4 circle Magus
x4 crescent Magus
x4 Rebis Magus
x4 Tetra Magus

Grade 2 :
x4 Briolette Magus
x4 Cuore Magus
x4 Stellar Magus

Grade 3:
x3 Pentagonal Magus
x3 Hexagonal Magus

Actually the combo of this deck not to awesome (i guess) because the main point is you must guess what card name at the top of my deck if i right my Pentagonal Magus +5000/Crit 1 , i think it's pretty interesting deck so what you think about my deck ???

Sorry For my bad english by the way , it's not my native language.

Edit: sry got the trigger backwards , btw thanks for the advice  [T.A] Ren [R]  and ヤタ that was helpful

Yeah u got the trigs backwards lol. Emergency Alarmer is a stand trigger lol.
and Victory Maker is a draw
As for your grade 1's I'd probably run 4 Rebis Magus and 2  crescent Magus

and for grade 2's cant complain really but curious to why 10 grade 3's?

Crescent Magus is a necessary part of the Magus Engine :/
Why not try 2 Penty/2 Floral to save on space? That way you could have an extra Grade 1 and Grade 2 unit, for example I would add another Crescent and another Stellar Magus. Also, why not just run 8 Crit 4 Draw? I don't see much point in the stands other than standing a Stellar Magus. Hope I could help :3

The ratio is still kinda weird, from what i see in the comments you had 10 G3 before but now you have 6. the usual G3 ratio is around 7~8, unless the deck requires less or more specifically. But the card choices are good and the deck seems nice for me.

Before I start the Title should be changed to Pure Magus Deck.

There is nothing wierd in a 6 grade 3 line up.
The usual ratio for oracle is actually 4-8 grade 3 depending on the deck and Magus usually is 6-8. It's just 6 is :( simply because you are more likely to misgrade that's it.

It's a pure Magus deck - triggers. There really isn't much to talk about here.
In his 10 grade 3 variant I like the attempt to use the stand trigger but it just doesn't work too well in Oracles. He has too many Penta's unless thats his main vanguard then I would drop a hexa or a floral or 1 of each to be at 8. Floral isn't going to help him too much but it's a nice alt vanguard to go to. I do agree that I think he has too many grade 3 but it's was a interesting deck build to try.

His Pure Magus 6 grade 3 deck is actually way better then his 10 grade 3. It center on penta as it should since it's pure variant. The only risk he has is misride and he runs 4 of every magus. I dunno what else to honestly say. When and if Magus get the rest of their trigger set I expect this deck to be edited with almost all of them in.

Floral Magus is a much better choice as your ace than Pentagonal. Late game counts how much shield do you have to spare.

I know its better than the 10 one, but i still think it's better to run 7~8 than 6.

Before the breakride appeared, oriental players ran 6 grade 3's and still managed to winn.

How is Floral Magus a better choice? Though she doesn't have the Clan restriction and can be used more than once per turn, i think that Pentagonal Magus is better since it doesn't have a cost and gives crit +1, it is like an additional crit Trigger if you want :P .

Because lategame critical gaining is worthless. Its not like its applied AFTER Your opponent guards, they know about it beforehand, and your attack is going to be guarded anyways. The extra 5000 is the only thing that will really make a difference, and Floral gives you that too.

Overall, though, if you're fine with not being pure Magus, I'd heavily suggest running CEO Amaterasu as your boss card, and Floral as a back-up. CEO has great synergy with the skills of your Magus units, and because she's active from the turn you ride her instead of having to wait until Grade 3, you can be getting plusses all game with Stellar Magus. Another non-Magus suggestion would be Silent Tom and Oracle Guardian, Gemini. Between Crescent Magus and Gemini you have up to 8 Grade 1's that can boost Silent Tom up to 16k+. My final suggestions would be to move away from Rainbow Triggers, especially since Stand Triggers are ineffective in a deck with no good Standing targets. I'd suggest 12 Critical. I'd also suggest a new Starter, as the Trigger Starters are a -1, instead of a Wash like normal Starters. I'd recommend Lulu. Briolette isn't needed anymore anyways, since CEO could handle checking the top card of your deck, and you'd need space in Grade 2 for Silent Tom anyways, so it'd be better to use that Soul to get a +1 with Lulu.

It is very intresting deck for Magus but maybe more g3 cards 1 or 2 but deck seems fine with build up for now.
