With all these new cards popping up that are unbound to a certain clan by whatever their effects read (see Anemone Musketeer, Susanna), cards without the Lord ability and so on, more and more folks are talking about mixing decks, using specific cards in their main clan's deck and etc. Now I'm just wondering what everyone here thinks? You like it? You dislike it? You want to mix all the decks all the time? Or do you rather consider yourself a purist and want to keep your decks made up only of a single clan?
Me personally, I'm a purist, I like things simple and the idea of a single clan fighting together that is all apart of the same archetype or from the same background just suits me better.
-
I like keeping my decks to the original clan but I believe there also nothing wrong with mixing ether.

I think I'm gonna have fun with Susanna in Minerva when I get round to it, so I'm a non-purist I guess o3o"

I love the new possibilities and the creative potential that it opens up. Mixed decks haven't gotten much of anything useful since maybe Season 2. Now almost every card is a potential new tool in their arsenal. Also, I think decks like Glendios, Halcium, and MLB very much appreciate the new Seeker Perfect Guard, with its lack of clan restrictions. The Clan Restrictionless Quintet Walls are a godsend to every rush deck ever.

Well i played vanguard from set 1 and i played yugioh before that. The one thing i didn't like about vanguard is that at first, unlike yugioh, since it was a new game there weren't lots of options and varieties on the first sets. We've come a long way from that and that isn't the case anymore. But something else happened, that is the fact that despite the options many people choose to play the same deck all the time(Like Metalborgs currently). But mixing decks with the new cards creates varieties and possibilities, and i like that. I'm not quite the guy to mix clans myself, but i'm still glad that this is happening, at least it gives me more chances to see my opponents with unusual decks.

I also created a thread about this. It is rather disappointing. Maybe Bushiroad forgot the restrictions. Legion clans now have access to the specialties of other clans like retiring for Naru and standing for NG. I'm also a purist, I don't praise mixing decks lol. The essence of their respective clans don't matter anymore, lol.

I'm mainly going to stick to mono-clan decks. To me, there's no real problem with multi-clanning, I just think it's... Well, I'm not really sure. I just prefer single-clan decks. Unless it's Paladins. I mix those guys every now and again.
-
Paladins are a special exception with mix clanning. Hehe ;D

Personally I really like the release of clan restrictions xD
They allow more interesting deck creation and gives some clans what they don't have to help them improve. Though this could maybe lead into something bad where everyone uses the same cards, that is the only thing I worry about.
-
My only problem with the clan restriction removal is that it doesn't anymore promote a specific deck now that you can mix... :( sad...
-
Don't really mind the clan restrictions being set loose, but I perfer mono-clan decks unless its something like Glendios where you need another clan's unit for the deck to function. Then again, I might give mix clan Legion decks a try someday

i don't have anything against clan mixing in a General sense, but if it is for a tourney i would rather like to Play against People with one than multiple.(Except Majesty and Glendios i mean)

Ikr and lol if u check out the Seeker PG it can be used with any clan lol. and discard anything and work. making MLB/Gust Blaster Dragon, Omega Glendios, etc work very well with the PG's since u can discard anything u want lol.

if you mix them you may get a very good combo that will win you the fight but most of the time you may get a trigger from a diferent clan or mess up your columns or even worse have a lord vanguard and all other units different clan so its better having 1 clan per deck
