Title: [VG][Gold Paladin] Monarch Sanctuary, Alfred
Post by: Lucius on May 29, 2014, 09:12:05 AM
This is my Gold Paladin and favorite deck.

Starting Vanguard:

1xLiberator, Cheer-up Trumpeter

Grade 0:
4xCatchgal Liberator(Stand)
4xLiberator of Holy tree, Elkia(Heal)
4xLiberator of Hope, Epona(Critical)
4xLiberator of Ambition, Asus(Critical)

Grade 1:

4xEarly Summer Rain Liberator, Bruno
4xHalo Liberator, Mark(PG)
2xPhysical Force Liberator, Zorron
3xWhite Rainbow Liberator, Balan

Grade 2:

3xBlaster Blade Liberator
2xLiberator, Star Rain Trumpeter
4xLiberator of Oath, Aglovale
3xReticent Liberator, Brennius

Grade 3:

4xLiberator, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred
4xBluish Flame Liberator, Prominence Core

G-Units:

4xGalloping Golden Knight, Campbell
3xGold Dragon, Scourge Point Dragon
1xFreeze Element, Blizza

Strategy:

At the turn you ride a G2 and you have balan(who unflips if BBL is called to (RC)) you can call Aglovale and go for a free call. After that Core should be ridden next as the mid-game Vanguard since you can either Legion or Stride depending on the Situation thanks to him. When you are at the Point where you have 5 damage you can ride to Monarch and use Trumpeter skill on him. Through the skill he gains additional +15k with the 10k from LB5 and 5k through his 3rd skill which would mean at least additional +30k for Monarch. Brennius and Bruno can actually create 36k columns when the LB. Additionally you can also call Catchgals to rg when you want to use Monarch to heighten the Chance to hit Triggers and power-up the Brunos and Brennius.

Looks good. And i never thought of running Margaux with alfred looks like a nice combo. I only recommend running +1 bruno.

good deck
couple of suggestions:
1. drop 1 zorron and on balan for another  g2 and another bruno
2. this is just an idea you could drop a margaux and run one cheer up- provides more shield in worst case and massive power boost to alfred at best while also providin a moderate boost to margaux if you get stuck on him (assumes alfred is main vanguard here)

This is my Gold Paladin and favorite deck.

Starting Vanguard:

1xAspiring Liberator, Alm

Grade 0:

4xArmament Liberator, Gwydion(Draw)
4xLiberator of Elixir(Heal)
4xLiberator of Hope, Epona(Critical)
4xStrike Liberator(Critical)

Grade 1:

3xEarly Summer Rain Liberator, Bruno
4xHalo Liberator, Mark
4xPhysical Force Liberator, Zorron
4xWhite Rainbow Liberator, Balan

Grade 2:

4xBlaster Blade Liberator
3xLiberator, Star Rain Trumpeter
3xSide Flute Liberator, Exerado

Grade 3:

4xLiberator, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred
4xTwin Blade Liberator, Margaux
Nice deck , only recommendations would be that if ur using Margaux with it id max out bruno and take out a zorron. For your g2's I'd swap Exerado for Geraint and everything else seems good since Alfred, Margaux both use up the dmg to superior call units powering up Bruno/geraint dont need u need Exerado. But overall good deck. Oh and mine also runs 2 margaux and 2 zenith since u can use alm for zenith lb's and powers up Geraint and Bruno.

Hnnnnnnnng.

For starters:
-1 Zorron
+1 Bruno

Next:
Escrad is swappable with Geraint for powerbeat, as Ren said.
Though, Margaux seems to be a bit pushy.
In any case, i'd try swapping 2 Margaux with 2 Bleoberis as he's proven to be a great plus in the previous Monarch builds, and if that doesn't work, tech a 3-3-2 (?) (Monarch-Margaux-Bleoberis)
I hope you do see the point of Bleoberis and not Gancelot.

Ya never use Gancelot lol. it defeats teh purpose of breakriding Alfred if ur gonna give 3 rgs +5k and then LB just takes away ur little powered up rgs lol.

why would i ever use Gancelot, if i know that they lose that power when they go back to deck lol. Gancelot would be the worst Combo with Alfred. And Exerado is there to put pressure on the Opponent since they know if they don't guard they might be attacked by a third unit.

Recent Changes:

2xTwin Blade Liberator, Margaux ---> 2xLiberator of Round Table, Alfred(because you need a vg with around 30k without cost sometimes)
4xArmament Liberator, Gwydion(Draw)---> 4xLoonbau(Stand) (if you use Loonbau in the right Moment you can give your Monarch Sanctuary Alfred additional [Power]+10k and Crit +1 without him needing to LB or use him before the LB and give your Alfred extra Power)

Just wondering why you added Loonbau's since they're non liberators.

as i said even though Loonbau is a non liberator his skill is still quite useful, after all monarch Alfreds LB5 doesn't require him to activate his LB4 so it is quite useful

yeah I can see what the reason would be. I guess u can call it a strategy used in Ezel decks. lol. Add more to soul to get off the LB with Scissors But , just like most GP skills like that (Garmore, etc) luck based on your superior call but not a bad idea though.

not really luck XD. i can use alm first and then Loonbau, and if you have Balan on the field then you actually didn't pay anything for using Alfreds LB5 :P (except a 10k Guard). and those that want more power can use the LB4 additionally to it.

Update:
Side Flute Liberator, Exerado-->Liberator of oath, Aglovale
2xTwin Blade Liberator, margaux and 2x Liberator of round table, Alfred-->Bluish Flame Liberator, Percival.

reason: because Liberator of Oath, Aglovale is a very good rg and can help Monarch Alfred to get additional 10k for nearly nothing
and the Bluish flame liberator is a very good midgame Card before you use Monarch to end it.

yes but the one disadvantage with percival is the fact that you need 4 cards in the drop to use legion.

i suggest you lessen him by one or most games you get him he will become a risk.

no offence but sometimes i wonder if you think before you type.
how is percival a risk since guarding and intercepting fills the drop zone. Its almost no work at all to get 4 cards in drop since with perci you can intercept your front row and then legion and just top call it all. I dont see how 4 cards in drop makes it a risk since at worst you dont use skill and its a minus one to hand but that should negligible since its a g3

4xLoonbau(stand)-->4xCatchgal Liberator(stand)(because she is the best suitible Trigger for Liberators with her skill)
4xLiberator of Exilir-->4xLiberator of Holy Tree, Elkia(strategies and skills are nice and all, but her art is better)
4xStrike Liberator-->4xLiberator of Ambition, Asus(i finally have the liberators of hope amdambition now nobody can stop me)

How's Lud testing for you? I hated Beli in testing but Lud seems cute because she boosts for it. Though you can't replace a Grade 2 and get the extra attack, which is sad.

G-Units were added
Strategy was added

1xWhite Rainbow Liberator, Balan, 1xBlaster Blade Liberator and 1xBluish Flame Liberator, Percival -->Reticent Liberator Brennius
3xBluish Flame Liberator, Percival -->3x Bluish Flame Liberator, Prominence Core
3xLiberator, Bagpipe Angel-->2xLiberator, Star Rain Trumpeter and 1x Bluish Flame Liberator, Prominence Core

Reason: I decided to put Brennius in because he can make wonderful columns with Bruno and he can also make Core more useful than Percival so i decided that this would be a pretty good decision

-1 Campbell
+1 Madu

Madu is far too important for your advantage not to run, especially when Golds don't have their Stride fodder yet.

Cheer Up Trumpeter should be replaced with Alm. Alm helps you keep up faster pacing with Blaster Blade's presence and the unflip engine going, while Cheer Up only encourages severe overkill with Scourge or Blizza, or a hard push with Alfred. The reason why you don't need Cheer Up is because your deck doesn't need her, as Brunos and Scourge himself, along with Stride's +11 bonus, and more are already putting you at suitable powers to end the game.

Grade 1/2 space looks really cramped, but that's understandable.
