There have been a lot of times where i would like to send a message and it just gets buried in the chat or i dont want someone to see it being able to whisper to someone or send a private message that only he will see i think that would be helpful :P

Personall Messages would be epic also team chats too ......you can communicate with whoever you want without any problems. :D

For the reasons already stated is actually why I don't feel this should be implemented. You can tell your teammates things to help them win. This is known as coaching. I could understand if the case was if something was legally done wrong that your not suppose to be able to do and you wanted to make sure they played a card correctly. But in most cases that will not be the case. This is why we suggested watcher chat. So we can help other players and to help prevent cheating and not allow other players to coach each other by saying do this.
In addition to the already stated reasons a player can abuse this to say what ever they want to other players without any real fear of possible ban or suspension unless the player waste his time and actually report him because the only person that will see it is the person being talked to.
If you really need to talk to your teammates use Skype.
However I really do think the chat box needs a scroll function at the very least. Same thing with the log.

Skype is a very good alternative option for sure......and scroll function is a must especially with this sleeve lottery on the ice field.

Tell your team mates about skype in case they didn't heard of it. Messengre is also a viable option since nobody cares about anymore and it can easily be used by persons that want to keep their skype secret. And there are A LOT of applications like that.

i believe expanding the chat into public whisper teamchat shout (for all online players) would be a great idea and when someone is in game of course that whisper and team chat will be unavailable

Some people dont have skype too like my teammates so yeah your opinion is very cool

Unfortunately coaching can be done with any third party program. Doesn't make sense to deny something that will help the game because of something that can already be done.

Really needs it a lot! I always wanna tell my friends something but the chat just buries it. To prevent coaching, we can don't let the players whisper while in battle
