Anyway... I'm really hype after seeing the E3 and it looks stunning.
Who do you guys want to play as the most?
Anything new you saw you liked?
Any stage you looking forward to playing?
Any items or other things that you looking forward to using?
Anything else you can think of to talk about this game?

Well since my friends and I have more 3DS's than Wii U's, we'll all be playing on that version, which I think is awesome, basically a 'smash on the go' and the free internet, just awesome sauce, I hope there won't be any lag issues.

I really really want to play as Palutena she looks awesome and sounds so good from her intro.
Mega Man and Pac Man was a huge shocker. They both should have been there sooner.

after little mac joined i knew that the chances of another out of nintendo character might join.

I do not believe they have confirmed every character yet which is a surprise. There characters also missing that should have been confirmed ages ago especially since they was in previous games. It would be disappointing if 2 of them was not in this game.

remember there only using the ones that had ether to most spotlight recently or the ones that you never saw coming.

as someone who loved kid icarus uprising (10/10 for that game) i am glad to see palutena in it and hopefully dark pitt too.
wish they would add some fire emblem awakening characters.

now heres hoping for SSB the anime.

Falco isn't confirmed yet, but he's incredibly popular in the competitive Smash environment, usually being used by the best Smashers out there. PPMD and Mang0, two of the "gods of smash" use him a lot in both melee/brawl. So I don't think all the characters have been revealed yet. Additionally, if they're going all-out this smash game, I'm still waiting for Isaac from Golden Sun to make the appearance.

I brought out the competitive aspect of the game because as it stands now, Super Smash Bros players are getting large sponsors, and the Wii U is banking a LOT on smash. Of course, I'd still buy the Wii U for Hyrule Wars, Splatoon, Mario Kart, and The Legend of Zelda game... but yeah, Smash Bros is still what gets people to buy the product. Especially since the environment is growing immensely for ESPORTS that developers are now largely considering making their games viable for competition and sponsoring.
(Which is why they had the invitational, so that the actual 'pro' players so to speak, would give feedback on the game from their perspective. Additionally those casual smashers who joined after the tournament to play the game, were just used to see which characters might be a bit more powerful than the rest.)

Maybe I'll get it, not too sure. For the incoming games this year, I'm going to need a LOT of money... So I'm prioritizing right now.

Edit: If you all are interested in competitive smash, this weekend is the MLG Anaheim SSB tournament where the greatest players are competing. I'll post the link to the tournament when it's time.

  Bayonetta 1-2 will hit about 2-3 weeks I believe after smash hits. Her chances are almost impossible since she has never been in a Nintendo game. Maybe next smash of if Nintendo surprise us later this year she could easily be a secret character of what the hell surprise. I hope I really want more characters in the roster. But I also want it to be near perfect.

You could always sell your other consoles to buy it. Or get the 3ds version.

i already have a 3ds

no one on my island buys em when i new one comes out. heck i wish i could sell my old games then it would be a little better.

Yeah we get ours on the 4th Oct ( also its weird reading the date cause to me, US get's theirs on the 10th of March e.e )

If you ether version it be worth every penny just from how amazing it is right now.

I kinda want Protoman too as a assist trophy personally so mega man doesn't just come by himself with the stage and the yellow devil.
Also Dat Villager Hype. He looks really good too.

I felt sad for the guy playing Megaman, he either was having an off day or just the people he was going against had more advantages than him, because even though he kept on getting voted through fan service, he just kept losing. It was awesome to see Wii-Fit Trainer kickin' some butt though.

Don't worry Just I understand. I love dat Gamecube controller as well because of that melee love. We even getting to use Gamecube controlers for the new Wii U Smash. Dat love. But Don't let that bring you down for buying a 3DS one.

Speaking of 3DS did people like that new game mode? I know I did especially if you can play online in that mode.

Well the problem for me about the gamecube controller is that you have to buy an adapter for it. Yeah sure it comes in a bundle deal, but just meh, that's just more stuff you have to buy to play and forget playing with other people on gamecube controllers unless they buy one themselves. That's why I'm gravitating towards the 3DS version, they say it's controls are like the gamecube controller already so I have no issues with that.

@Sandy-- They're going to be selling it for $20. That's not a bad deal. Anyway, they're also going to be selling a Super Smash Bros Wii U Bundle with the Wii U, the Adapter, and the game. So, that's still pretty solid.

$20 on an adapter that would benefit a lot of people because we all have our Gamecube controllers is fantastic! (at least my friends do)

I still would try your hardest to get both. Trust me it be worth it. Or you can just use the pro controler for the wii u version or just get the 3ds version your choice.

Which save $10 just doing that. So lets see.

Assuming you don't have ether console. Well US price anyway.
2DS is $130
3DS is $160
3DSXL is $200
Wii U 8GB is $250
Wii U 32GB is $300

Smash Bundle with everything but Wii U itself and 1 gamecube controler is $100 (worth it for the smash logo on controler alone)

Wii U game is $60
2-3DS Version is $50

So lets see that is:
2DS + Game is: $170
3DS + Game is $210
3DSXL + Game is $240
Wii U 8 GB + Game is $310
Wii U 8 GB  + Game Bundle is $350 (Saves $10)
Wii U 32 GB + Game is $360
Wii U 32 GB + Game Bundle is $400 (Saves $10)

Everything = $480 - $640 dollars not counting tax or extra controllers depending on your options.

So I need about $500 to get it all since I have a 3ds already. Unless I want to get 4 controlers. Which after that would put it to $600 x.x maybe more counting taxes

Wait, what?  Wii U is $300 is the US? O_o  It's only $250 up here in Canada, and that's for bundles that include games.  I'm surprised...  Something is actually cheaper in Canada than the US.  Still, I already know I'm going to have enough money for it if my dad's boss continues to be awesome.  (He gives me $500 each year for getting honours or equivalent, so he's kinda really awesome.)  So, I'm probably going to buy both, but the 3DS version comes first. 

I'm probably going to main the Mii Fighter since I'm a sucker for customizable characters.  For actual characters in-game, I'm excited for the return of Ike, and Charizard with its X Mega Evolution.  I don't really have any specific stages I'm excited for, as I tend to end up just playing custom ones.  Speaking of custom maps, I hope they extend the options for that.  I really didn't like how limited it was in Brawl.  Maybe a larger grid, as well.  Or just flat out remove the grid, it gets quite annoying at times.  I probably spent just as much, if not more, time making maps as I did actually fighting on them, so I'd love to see that get improvements.

  Technically there is 1 game that it comes with. But usually it's part of a bundle. I believe right now there is a Wind Waker HD bundle for the same price right now so yea. It'll comes with a game. If you wanted say Mario Kart 8 bundle though you would have to pay a little bit more. I would assume that Smash would get a Gamestop bundle eventually but be priced by how Mario Kart 8 is now... Hopefully it's a little bit cheaper. Oh and it's for the 32 GB version of the Wii U because why would you even buy the one with less GB's... Hmm going to edit my priceing post

I ended up wounding myself and almost passing out on the couch-- and I felt sick for the rest of the day to actually be able to record the matches. Additionally, at this exact moment that I posted this reply to this thread, the East Coast vs West Coast matches are occurring to which I'll put up the result of which side won.

Anyway, I'm aware that perhaps some of you may not care and are only here to talk about SSB Wii U version-- but I hope that you realize that we may be seeing Super Smash Bros become a huge game in ESports, and already the tournaments are having large money sums for a Nintendo game. (Basically witnessing history) If Wii U's version lives up to Melee standards, without a doubt we'll have an even larger scene. Which is amazing for both Nintendo and the game franchise.

Edit: West Coast beats East Coast-- Largely due to Mang0 (one of the smash gods), defeating 3 of the other smash g0ds from East Coast.

I wonder how that Esport will do what with this game coming out on the 2/3DS as well?

For games that are handheld, there usually isn't a large Esport scene. (Although supposed experts in the field of predicament believe that handheld games will become a large factor in the future due to the large amount of app games being created. Not to mention they have large player bases.) Personally though, I doubt there'll be a large competitive 2/3DS Wii U version, but it's always possible.
