Meh the 3-0 was a bit much, but I mean Chrono vs Leon was semi justified. Leon got all his wins from sack/lol psyqualia so it's fair that he gets sacked back in return righttt. Maybe it was a bit early for it, but it's no less BS imo then most of the g-fights. If anything I find it worse that they didn't even show properly what Ripples do. 2-1 win or something like that would have been more reasonable.

They didn't even make Leon draw on the 2nd Tetra Boil attack.

They made Jaime stride Lambros first into Thavas and then even forgetting Andrei exists even tho Andrei + 16k Skiros would be 2 attacks which would have beaten down Tokoha's entire hand had she the guard for it. That would mean Tokoha had no chances of coming back.

Chrono was just top g3, sack crit on each drive check and what not. Completely logical especially since he has done this 4 times in a row?

Its predictable now at this point and the win against Leon was completely un-necessary.

I assumed he just drew off screen, didn't pay attention to his hand size really because it was obvious how they were going to do it. Tokoha also shouldn't have come back anyway with no field + pretty much no hand, and really shouldn't have won but oh well. Thavas thing was because they wanted to get the retire effect of as well to show of the full skill, even though had he done it the normal way of Thavas>Lambros he would have probably won regardless.

Unless I'm mistaken though, the way the event was made was that to become a clan leader, they have to win all the challenges which included beating Leon and co. Might be wrong on that one though, in which case there is no reason for them to have won at all. I just don't see this as particularly different from say last season fight wise, yes it was lazy writing and such (and manages to show off how lazy lolrestanders are design wise after Chrono actually did interesting moves first stride), but it's standard for G.

Sack is not sack for the Vanguard anime, it's strength of will or whatever, topdecks aren't really topdecks, plus even more then before they make a big show of how much luck Chrono has. Also it wasn't that predictable if only for it being Leon, I half expected a miracle heal due to what Leon normally does, guess they didn't go that route. Overall the episode was still nice to look at, despite the misplays, and sack which is standard for the anime in general. If they do this for every branch competition/every Chrono win then it will get boring quickly, but they still have time to change that.

When Jaime attacked Tokoha he had 4 hand

Why is it before she attacked he only had 5 hand.


For Leon's game its a case of

With that one card difference knowing there's another PG in hand can easily go

Its nothing about strength of will here. Its about the animators bsing off the Aqua characters for no good reason I mean like.

How did Tokoha get good enough to beat down Jaime with little to no difficulty.

Well this weeks episode was almost perfect. Got to learn a bit more about am and luna as idols and everyone is worried for Shion. Also got to see Kai, Miwa and Naoki looking even more awesome then ever.

I just want to See if Kai vs Shion 3 is a good match, also important on what Kai will use (probs overlord) but Considering he has beat Shion with Kagero and Narukami Already.... I can just imagine him pulling out CBD and going to town. Not gonna happen but I can hope.

I'm sadly not counting on it after what I just seen. Misaki basically threw her fight to have Tokoha win.
So I'm expecting Kai to do the same. I'm going to be blunt I would rather seen Tokoha 6 heal again which would have been completely fine then this.

I've never seen such a mountain of misplays in a single turn that Misaki would have never done normally. The fight turned into a huge disappointment so fast to what was starting off to be one of the best anime cardfight matches in all of vanguard history. And it was so close to being a proper passing of the torch.

Lets list all the problems with this one turn. And remember Euryale skill hit the perfect guard in her hand. That mattered.
1 and 2. Misaki last card before her stack was a crit trigger. She has photographic memory. She should know she has a 3x crit coming. Meaning there was absolutely no reason for her to stride into Wakahirume. Absolutely none. This is 2 misplays in one point. (I understand they have to promote the stride but all they just did was just hurt the match even more)
3. Sussano was the best stride choice for that turn. Not only would Euryale hit 21000 (without triggers) Tom would have actually been hitting the key 16000 mark since he was being boosted by Cresent Tsukuyomi and 31000 should she had kept to the all 3 crits to tom meaning the g-guard wouldn't have been enough.
4. And that is the next problem. Tokoha is at 4 damage. Why would you not split the crits? Misaki at least give one crit to Euryale and have her hit over 21000 or 26000 exactly if she had actually went with Sussano there was no way she could have guarded it even with the g-guards.
5. Final misplay of the game and the real cause of the game in the first place Misaki attacks vanguard instead of the obvious target that was now in the front row thanks to the g-guard aka Katrina. Could of stopped the entire push from Tokoha turn and survived to finished her with Wakahirume.

I have no hopes for the rest of these fights. I hope they are not bad misplays like this one was. Ether way Season 2 of VG-G can now no longer be better then season 1 of VG-G it lost that right in a instant. It's really sad because this could have been the perfect fight for the passing the torch and it would have been done right but they messed up big time. Though I have to admit they showcased Verano really well. It's just not worth what I had to experience right before that.

Edit: BTW G-Guards are a nice idea and it was exciting to see it. Just the turn ruined it for me.

After getting into gs2 I stopped watching for fight but card reveals tbh. At this point all the fights are plot shielded

This week was 20x better then last weeks episode if you put the sack aside. Which was very easy considering last weeks trainwreck of a episode. It was a proper passing the torch and Shion actually earned that win.

True. Unlike Misaki who was forced into abandoning her usual style for plot,  Kai played normally with Shion's bravery making the difference. Heck if Kai didn't get those 2 Heals, it woulda been a wrap on Altomile Ride.

And the final 2 parts of the Kamui episodes was better then everything I've seen Kamui do in this entire series thus far. He finally got his proper due. He got good growth as a character. Thank you bushiroad. Also Shion punching Shouma was absolutely priceless making want to see Shion vs Shouma 3 even more. Personally I think it was so close to beating season 1 of the original series but we went through too many trigger heavy games and mistakes to get to this point and one of the biggest 3 fights of the season was a throw away match makes it's just impossible to say this season is better then g-season 1.

Opinion Verdict in Spoilers

I'm counting G-Season 2 and 3 as one season. I don't get why they are considered different at all by Bushi not like it matters since they are in the right places atm even accounting that. Combined this was a fairly ok season outside of the ending to season 2 final fight with Misaki and Tokuha that was really really really bad. I'm still not over it at all. BUT I still enjoyed these two seasons far more then Original Season 2 and Season 4 even accounting question ending episodes in season 3 that felt rushed. Am and Luna (best two characters in G period) as well as Shouma, Saya, Lisa, Remy, Emi (for the very small ammount of time the last 4 showed up for) and I'll admit it I didn't like the change at first but in the end it worked great for him after all Shion are the saving graces of these 2 seasons. But After all that I still can't justify it as better then season 3.

Verdict:
G-Season 1 > Original Season 1 > Original Season 3  > G-Season 2+G Season 3 (Counted as one Season) > Original Season 2 > Original Season 4
