[BATTLES] Star Battles & Point System (Vanguard Cup)

Star Battles are what participants will be playing in during this event much like other Starfight Events to earn your points.

Star Battle Regulations

• Star Battles are 1v1s. They will not be counted for if attempted in a Team Battle.
• Single Mulligan
• Must be played in a Best 2/3
  
  • Deck switching is allowed, however deck editing is not.
  • You may only use clans in your clan pool.
• You may only do up to 10 Star Battles a week.
• You may only challenge the same person up to twice per week.

When setting up a Star Battle, both you and your opponent must agree on the following

• Fight Format: V-Standard or Premium
• Banlist: ENG / JPN
• Inventory: What is being used/currently active from both sides.
  
  • Alternatively, you can look at each other's profiles to see what is active.

The Point System!


The Overpoint Bonus!
If you win against someone who has more points than you before the match, you will recieve additional points at the end of the match (added to your score) depending on how many more points your opponent has more than you. Please refer to the table below as a reference.

In addition to this, there will be other bonuses that can increase your score after a fight from challenges and items.

Midnight Showdowns

Midnight Showdowns are the second type of battles that players may do in this event.

Rules of Midnight Showdown

• Must be played in a best of three.
• Both players must agree to wager the same amount of credits (min. 100), Winner takes all.
• You may only participate up to three Midnight Showdown's per week.
• Midnight Showdowns must be reported and specified on both fighter's profiles.
• Midnight Showdowns do not count towards your weekly 10 Star Battles.
  
  • This also means you are able to play someone in a Midnight Showdown that you've played twice in Star Battles.

What are Credits?

Credits are a value used to make purchases from the Fighter’s Shop. This is also made separate from points which are used to determine your ranking. Credits may only be earned through Midnight Showdowns or through a Credit Allowance.

Once a week, a Credit Allowance will be bestowed upon the player at the start of the week equal to the presented amount.
