Cardfight!! Vanguard > CF!!V Discussion
Fiana and Deckout
Ryukkun:
Apparently, someone in castle a few minutes ago argued that when you cannot afford to reveal the top ten cards of your deck without leaving at least a single card in it, you automatically lose the game via "deckout" (As she quoted from the rulings: As soon as you run out of cards.). I think she was able to come up with this conclusion since cfa still has no reveal function and that players have to manually remove cards from their deck to comply to the witches' skill effect, thus actually ending up with a situation where the opponent "decks out". We all tried to tell her the difference between draw and reveal but she always brushes it off with something like "show me a link where it says it's not how I see it is".
ShackledAlice:
Just wanting to help clear this out.. I was wrong first off, thinking that it was an auto-win condition.

The part I want to address is;
> This ones easy, the losing condition for deck-out is as follows: - when you run out of cards in your deck, and during the next check timing. - the reason why I mentioned the next check timing is that there are cards which let you check top cards in Vanguard.
By which I mean emphasis on the NEXT. Fiana replaces the cards after, so Fiana deckout isn't viable.
Poseidon:
My opponent only had 8 cards in deck. He HAS to reveal 10 since there is no "up to" clause. He goes to reveal 9th and cannot so decks out. Again unless you can find me a rule or official link saying I am wrong then good day.

Above post, Pos. Explicitly stated that the winning conditions are only fulfilled AFTER a check, not during. The same is for the 6th damage.
Poseidon:
I found out the ruling on it we were all wrong. If opponent doesnt have 10 skill cannot be used. Just like for Yu-Gi-Oh how if you cannot Special summon you cannot use Monster Reborn in the first place. Sorry for the argument I was not trying to be rude just could not find anything not supporting the deck out theory and the definitions for check timing were very confusing.
